ORDERED A HP 17" LAPTOP WITH ALL THE GOODIES, WELL I KEPT CHECKING ON WHERE IT WAS, USUALLY WHEN I ORDER FROM QVC AFTER IT SHIPS, IT ARRIVES IN NO TIME.WELL THIS WONDERFUL TREAT I ORDERED FOR MYSELF, SEEMED TO BE STUCK IN SHANHAI, YES I SAID SHANHAI, IT WAS THERE FOREVER.

WHEN IT FINALLY GOT INTO THE USA IT WAS IN CA, AND I AM IN MO. FINALLY IT (THE TRACKING THING) SAID IT WAS IN SPRINGFIELD, MO AND OUT FOR DELIVERY!!! YEA!! WELL, GUESS WHAT?

IT NEVER SHOWED UP ANYWHERE AND UPS WAS STATING THAT IT WAS LEFT ON THE PORCH-NOT!!! TO THIS DAY IT HAS NEVER SHOWN UP ANYWHERE. FOR ALL I KNOW IT IS STILL IN SHANGHAI.

WELL, IT CAN STAY THERE.I WILL NEVER ORDER ANYTHING THAT USES UPS AGAIN

If it was coming from a foreign country, it probably got caught up as it left that country, being examined by their regulatory departments, and then got caught up again when it went through US customs.As for the delivery, unless it specifically required a signature to be delivered, they don't necessarily make sure anyone is home before attempting delivery.

Though, unless the company sending it you specified that it was to be left at the door without a signature, UPS should still be liable. You would need to contact the shipper to verify that they didn't in fact do that, and if not, file a claim with UPS.

However, UPS will only pay a claim equal to the declared value amount of the shipment; which, knowing most companies, will only be the basic $100 that comes automatically with all UPS shipments.Past that, you need to take it up with the company, unless they offered you additional insurance on the laptop.
