I sold on EBAY an antique toilet impossible to replace, after trying to find some one interested I set the price low because did not need anymore and was hoping to find someone whom really wanting a raspberry color Kohler (new selling price was 1800.00 in 1980-2000 period) toilet.. Found a buyer who really needed item to finish up a bath.
color style etc. Checked with UPS for shipping estimate and explained was an antique. Value $1000 plus. UPS Store then proceeded to take it in, pack and ship my item across the US for $244.
Upon arrival was crushed. SO I make my claim for the declared value. After a couple weeks and much paper work I was sent a check for the shipping and the small selling cost. (Which I have return to buyer) UPS Corp Refuses to honor the declared value.
I was told since I sold it low, that was all they would give.
I returned all money to buyer so now I have ZERO for my antique. 1z9e71204240546598
