I ordered an item from korea for 71€.

At delivery, my invoice total was 33€ (around 50%) however the import tax is 23% in ireland.

After reading the invoice, I noticed they added a virtual tax of 22% for paying in front the import fees.

Did I asked them to pay in front? don't think so....however, they charged me 22% of the total for that.

In total, I paid 50% of tax


Very disappointed by my first experience with UPS

All care for UPS is to screw their customers by charging for virtual service and their unrespectfull attitude.

When you say to customer service, in fact, I paid 50% of custom tax, they answer you, that is not true, I have been charged of 23% according to irish regulation.

On the top, of that, they play with words.

That is definitively not what I call respectfull customer.


This reviewer shared experience about pricing issue and wants this business to issue a full refund as the author lost $20. This person is overall dissatisfied with Ups. Reviewer wants customer support to reach our to him or her ASAP for further discussion of this matter.
