We tried to send a cell phone to our son in order for him to travel home. His phone died.

UPS was supposed to deliver it within 48 hrs. No attempt was made. My husband contacted UPS 5 days later, they said they tried to deliver it the day before but he was not there. This is a dorm with someone at the desk 24/7, there was no slip.

They said they will attempt again in 2 days. Since he was flying out that day, my husband told them to send it back and they agreed. 10 days later, they called and said we needed to pay $70 to ship it back because my son refused delivery because he did not want to pay a Customs charge. He was not even in the country on the date in question.

He was home. Very sleazy behavior, we are still trying to get the cell phone back.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $300.

I didn't like: Delivery, Customer service, Unethical business practices.
