Shipped a bed frame to NY from CA to a customer. Due to Hurricane Sandy backlog, package is delayed past anticipated delivery date, and customer will be out of town. So we agree that I will "Intercept" package with UPS, have them hold it, and deliver at a later date, for a small fee.

I login, find package, "intercept" it, schedule redelivery for later date. All is cool.

Fast forward 2 weeks, I come home in a rainstorm to find package out in my driveway, getting drenched. I contact UPS, find out that my "intercept" was somehow computed as "return to sender."

So now I have filed a claim, but am certainly out the money spent on the original shipment. Hopefully this claim goes somewhere, so I can use it to pay FedEx to ship it to NY.

Monetary Loss: $275.
