UPS has automatically denied many of our insurance claims over time saying the item was too close to the box, or the packaging was insufficient. What they NEVER said is that it was their fault the item was damaged. It is their practice to NEVER admit fault. Even when one of their trucks got in an accident and was totaled (along with all the parcels inside), they returned the damaged goods to us with oil and the box in tatters and asked if we could repair the item. Anyone with a pair of eyes could see the item was unrepairable. They should have just paid the insurance but they didn't do the right thing. I just called their 800 number last week to ask who changed the delivery options on a parcel from 2 day to 3 day without our permission. They said they would have that person get back to us. That person never got back to us.
What they say and what they do are two different things. They are losing integrity every day.
