UPS - Disappointed

So I ordered something online in regard to my kids and had it shipped next day air, I anticipated my order getting processed late in the day (I placed the order at 12:20 on 4/12, and it wasn't ready for pick up until 8:53 pm) however it was picked up the following morning and tagged "in transit" so I figured "ok, well it's going to be here Friday (4/14) at some point in time". Well, lo and behold Friday rolls around and nothing, even though the shipper sent a message promising delivery by 10:30 AM. Now there's an updated delivery date of Monday 4/17 for it. If I'm shelling out almost $40 for a package to be delivered the following business day, I fully EXPECT to receive it the following business day, and not the start of the next business week. I know all about the difference between business days, and non-business days, that's why I placed my order on Wednesday. This way if it did ship on Thursday I would receive it on Friday the very latest. Well, you live and learn, and I learned a little bit about reliability of UPS now, I'm going to stick with shippers that ship with FedEx since I've never had any issues with them in roughly 10 years of package delivery. Furthermore, their tracking system is MUCH more detailed than UPS's. Interestingly enough this isn't the first issue I've had with UPS, they delivered a surveillance system to my neighbor instead of to my residence, and also a pricey piece of audio equipment.

I have been sitting here all day. I understand they need a signature. Waited here all day and now they say they tried to deliver it. They did not ring the bell. You are better off with FedEx. Now I am wasting time being kept on hold. Why does anyone use this service? And this internet board won't accept a complaint with fewer than 100 words! So now what can I do? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Are those enough words? ? ?I hope so. I really hope so. But it keeps on asking for more words! UPS - Fed up

Ordered something on Wednesday and chose overnight shipping. It was an important item I needed to replace one that broke. It is now Monday and no sign of said item.The item was shipped out on Wednesday with overnight shipping.They said they would come Friday and changed it to Saturday now its Monday. This is the 3rd time in a few weeks UPS has made a delivery exception on a package we have ordered.We can't even get a refund on delivery so that was a huge waste of money.We live on a main road and UPS trucks go by all day.Worst yet is we are last on their route and they never come until 7 or 8 pm. Always frustrating seeing them driving by during the day but always being last to get a package.This is why I never used them for my small business. FedEx is always here at 9 am and many things shipped through them arrive a day early.even USPS is always here by lunch time.UPS has just become unreliable and slow.

UPS - Overnight Service Disaster

I sent a box of frozen Alaskan moose and seafood with a 10:30 AM next day delivery from Alaska to California. It never arrived and no one could tell me where the package was the entire day when it was suppose to arrive. Just kept saying in transit but it had left Oakland but never made it to San Jose. I placed many calls and received many promises to call me back which never happened. Finally got a supervisor on the phone who checked into it and 48 hours after shipping it's on a trailer with 2000 other boxes and won't be delivered until best case 72 hours after it was shipped, 48 hours after a guaranteed delivery. Since UPS will not guarantee perishable items for shipping I am out 100's of dollars. I will not use UPS again.

UPS Failed to keep its promise

I ordered something from Amazon for an office holiday party for 14 Dec 2016. I paid for next-day delivery, for 13 Dec 2016. I got two emails from UPS stating the package was scheduled for deliver on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, between 11:15 AM and 3:15 PM. Three hours later, I get an email stating the delivery date had been changed to Wednesday, December 14, 2016. I called customer service to find out why. They fed me a line of nonsense, saying the package arrived from the shipper at 9:23 PM Monday night, so there was no way UPS could possibly deliver it on Tuesday because there just wasn't enough time. I pointed out that I got TWO messages CONFIRMING a Tuesday delivery, then a change without any reason given. Got the same line of miserable garbage about there not being enough time. I pointed out that UPS pretty much runs 24/7, even thought they don't DELIVER on Sundays, planes and trucks are still moving freight, so when the package arrived at a particular point on a Monday night is pretty much irrelevant. More fertilizer slung my way by a customer service rep who now sounded exasperated. I just thanked the lady for her time and ended the call before I totally lost my composure. If she had told me it had to be delayed due to a high volume of holiday shipping, I could have understood that. If she had said there was a problem with sorting/handling, so the delivery got delayed, fine, it happens. Either of those situations would have left me annoyed, but understanding. Instead, she fed me a line of complete BS, thinking I was *** enough to buy off on it. That left me flat pissed off. She just contributed to why people jokingly refer to UPS as "OOPS." At least Amazon was cool enough to refund me my shipping charges, since now the package falls under the free 2-day shipping. I work at a UPS Store and these people definitely don't know what they're doing. Our driver has forgotten packages a few times and we have filed the Guaranteed Service Refund with UPS.

They try to deny it but when we say the driver signed for it but left it they then issue the check to you.

As the other person said, claims are for damaged or lost packages, not late packages. The issue is, whether or not it is the store's or UPS's fault why it was left behind, UPS has to refund you if it was signed for but not picked up.

How is it that a company can only track a package by a tracking number, and not by destination or a sender? I was given the wrong tracking number by the sender, who is across the Nation so I can't get them due to the time change to get a correct number. I spent $500 to get something delivered overnight, and it expires if I don't get it on time. I'm sitting here waiting nearly 12 hours with no truck in sight, nobody at UPS wants to say anything other than sorry I can't help you. I would have a backup system. I would not offer such ***-poor customer service, or an inability to do a reasonably intelligent job keeping track of a package that is in my care, for which I am paid highly to deliver.
