I shipped to UPS paid the fee for "signature required" go to find out the package was delivered but NOT to the person(s) addressed to. Is the drivier entitled to "elect" who they deliver a package to?

Does paying "extra" for signature required not guarantee that the package is delivered to person it is addressed to. And worse the only answer from UPS is is that they delivered the package, it was delivered to the address, and they obtained a signature. REALLY, they can't validate the address they delivered it to, only repeat the address on the shipping slip, then can't confirm that the the addresee received the package, only that it was signed for and delivered. NEVER again will I use UPS.

This has Never happened with United States Postal Service.

And I used UPS because they are suppose to be more reliable and accurate.

UPS is not required to deliver to the person named on the label. They can deliver to and have anyone at the address listed sign for the package. Once it is signed for at the address, it absolves UPS of any more responsibility with regards to the package.
