I shipped a duffel bag home while on an extended trip. When it arrived the handles were torn out of the bag and as a result the seams were ripped out. The contents seemed to all be there. This bag had survived road trips and the airlines without signs of wear and tear.

I filed a claim for damage to the bag on line and UPS came out and picked up the bag. It went to there local claims center and then was shipped back to the store I shipped it from.

Their customer (NO)service was not helpful at all. I kept being told I would have to talk to the shipper (remember, that was me). I just learned that they tagged my bag as a refused shipment and the bag was thrown out.

This was a frustrating experience and I'm out one very useful bag. Shame on UPS.
