I have more trouble with ups than any other delivery service! I have ups my choice but the drivers do not read directions! They throw them in an unsecured area ! Totally inappropriate! I take usps smart post or fed ex or usps any day over ups! Company and staff sucks!

UPS - Denied claim for damage

We shipped an RO system with them. It was damaged beyond repair, my customer took photos of the damage. I sent the photo's to pictures@ups.com and was denied the $1,000.00 claim which I insured it for. They said that I should have used a box with a 275lb rating instead of the 200lb rated box I used. We shrink wrap the internal parts and pack the system in 1" dense foam. Nothing moves inside the box, so i believe based on the damage that the box was dropped and left in water or rain. The box was destroyed and it would not have mattered what pound the box was. Just an FYI for all who use UPS, make sure you read all the fine print before shipping. They will deny your claim based on a technicality! NEVER USING THEM AGAIN!!!

UPS in Chicago, Illinois - Failure to process damage claim properly

Shipped insured piece of musical equipment. When reaching destination, item was damaged. Buyer and seller have been trying to get UPS to resolve claim for 1.5 months with still no payment as of 1/20/2019. Will never use UPS again. Findings from corporate: 1) Instrument not packed properly 2) Damage claim protocols not followed by receiving or sending UPS Stores. 3) Owner of sending UPS Store abdicated responsibility and allowed subordinate inexperienced clerks to manage claim. 4) Once complaint submitted to corporate, owner of sending UPS Store appeared to retaliate by obstructing and delaying payment 5) Item shipped 12/8/2018, Damage reported 12/14/2018, claim approved for payment by corporate 12/22/2018, still awaiting payment ($1,000) on 1/20/2019. Owner of UPS Store, 17 Jct. Drive, Glen Carbon, Illinois, Jerome Kellerman refuses to return calls to me on status.

UPS in Portland, Oregon - Broke my item and refuse to replace. No refund either.

They broke the very expensive ( and incredibly durable!) item that I was foolish enough to attempt to ship through their company. They completely removed me from the claims process. They refused to speak to me regarding the claim until after they denied it. They disposed of the damaged portion of the box (which would otherwise be known as evidence) and returned my broken item across the entire country to me in the remnants of the box. They refuse to replace the item. They refuse to refund the shipping and handling charge I paid. I am surprised there is not a class action lawsuit already. I would be willing to sign a petition or whatever the *** needs to be signed to start one. This company is a bunch of crooks.
