I have purchased some lighting equipments (6 lights for my whole apartment renovation) from Belgium to China for self use, the seller shipped via UPS.

When the goods arrived the port, I told UPS that I am willing to pay any kind of import duty, but the UPS China lady just told me because the volume is big, they cannot do the custom clearing (my feeling is they feel it is too troublesome to do the clearing) and said I need to appoint my own clearing agent. Ok, then I appointed my own agent.

When the process is still ongoing (2 weeks from the phone call with UPS), my agent told me UPS is preparing to ship back my purchase to Belgium.

I am fine if UPS has tried to clear the good and rejected by the Custom and the goods need to ship back. But it is terrible that UPS never ask for my details (I am eligible for tax free import), never try to contact me, never try to clear the the goods, never offer any help or solution, and going to return the goods without even notifying me.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
