My item, a patio umbrella was delivered to a vacant residence. I contacted UPS within hours of realizing this thru tracking information.
They told me someone would go back to the vacant house immediately to retrieve the package. I continue to call them every day for the next six days. Same story. We havent had time to send a driver out to the house to get the package.
They say, contact the shipper. Why contact the shipper when UPS knows they have stolen the package. On the last call I just made a few minutes ago the lady, who sound like she has a 3rd grade education told me her hands are tied, because the shipper has to contact them before they can proceed. I told her this is *** They know where the pkg is.
Tracking info now saids lost pkg investigation. What I want to know, how can the customer stop this blatant thievery?
