Bought shipping and insurance from a business shipper on frozen fish and they wouldn't give use the tracking numbers and when one box of fish was lost within 2 miles from the business to the airport they didn't and said they didn't know how to file a claim form. After calling UPS claim dept, customer service, chamber of Commerce and a UPS supervisor to replace the package it took 3 months to get resolved.

Shipper lied to use every time we called them. UPS doesn't have any special way of shipping frozen food and deliver guy just throughs the boxes at your door and leaves. I wouldn't use UPS to ship anything ever again. When UPS investigates a lost package they only let the shipper know what they find.

The costumer never can find out anything for all the money you spend on shipping UPS. They are no one to use.

Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Monetary Loss: $893.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

I didn't like: Shipper and ups customer relations.

This sounds like the fault of the "business shipper" you used, not UPS. For one, there is a way to ship fish, as I've done it successfully on a few occasions; the best route to go is usually to overnight it with dry ice to keep it cold.

Second, and more importantly, you can't insure perishable goods. That's a basic when shipping UPS. So, whoever let you insure frozen fish basically scammed you as far as I can see.

Also, the fact that they wouldn't give you a tracking number screams scam as well. My advice is next time don't follow through if things seems off, or if you're not completely comfortable with how something is being handled.
