Parking and driving to fast in neighborhood.

UPS - Parking and driving to fast in neighborhood.
UPS - Parking and driving to fast in neighborhood. - Image 2

I having an issue with the drivers stoping in front of my driveway here in Lakewood co. When the delivery is being done someone needs to address this issue.

it is not legal to park in front of driveway here in Colorado in case of an emergency vehicle that needs to get to property like fire or ambulance.

I have asked the drivers not to park in front of my driveway time and time again with one driver saying he is a commercial vehicle and can park anywhere he wants. This is not true, I have a medical condition and need access to my driveway at all times just in case.

If you please can put this in a company wide letter letting all drivers know this it would be very much appreciated. I do understand that they need to make deliverys as quick as possible but at what cost. Also let them know that the speed limits in all housing tracks are 25 mph that seems to also be ignored.

If a child is ever hit and killed it would be a tragedy at both ends.

I hope you agree. If you have kids or grandkids Im sure you will.

All I can say is slow down.

And please dont park in front of my driveway.

Thanks for your time.

Please note that the only remedy ever sought for UPS violating federal public acvommodation laws, this customer's contractual rights and calling the police in bad-faith (based on racial stereotypes) was an apology. And despite the video, below, and the franchisee's own security video, no apology was provided by Store #4249.

Nor did UPS Corporate give any explanation for why this store and its employees were not held to account either.

What a way to do business. .

Updated by user Mar 08, 2024

Only response that was ever received from UPS was the following, which was a promise by Store #4249's to respond. No response was ever received (February 27, 2024, 6:29 PM). See full text below:"I am the owner of this store and just saw all these emails and will read them after work and get back to you tomorrow by 3pm CST.Thank you,Your store associatesThe UPS Store 424981*-***-7411**** Central St, Kansas City MO 64112"

Original review Feb 17, 2024
This message supports my official UPS complaint about the two (2) White UPS employees at UPS Store 4249 that 1) refused to provide me the best rate for shipping a package (USPS) and instead tried to upcharge me for the UPS rate; 2) refused to type the recipient's address from my phone and/or a print-out that I brought along for that very purpose and tried to force me to I read the recipient's address to them; 3) told me to leave the UPS store when I asked these two (2) incompetents to follow the proper UPS protocol and 4) later called UPS security and local police to tell blatant lies based upon certain anti-Black stereotypes that these two (2) UPS works hoped would lead to the unlawful arrest of a customer.
UPS is being asked to correct, retrain and sanction "Gavin" and the seemingly illiterate UPS employee that works with him. This request, and its related official complaint, rose from an attempt to send a package around 1:35pm CST at a UPS Store (4741 Central St., Kansas City, Missouri 64112). I have done lots of business with UPS and rarely had my legal rights violated in these unforgivable ways, never been told to leave a UPS store nor had UPS security/local police called by an employee who that was not even part of the transaction/cannot read.

I ordered a Halloween item from Halloween.com. It used to be a good store as they keep their word when shipping their items.

I had ordered 3 items from them in the past and received them with no problem. It's not the store I have a problem with, it's their shipper, UPS.com. They only let the package go to Ohio then they ship it back to the seller. Then when you confront them about it, they claim that they already sent it to USPS.com.

Funny, USPS doesn't have it as it says on their tracking website.

Status: Still waiting to receive package. Make that company stop shipping packages back.

User's recommendation: Be careful on shipping when ordering online,if it's from UPS you might not get your order.

Resolved: UPS is subcontracting USPS to do deliveries

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Aug 31, 2024

Issue has not been resolved. The issue is that when you take a package to UPS for shipping and handling it should not be given to USPS.

You are paying UPS for a service that you are not getting from them.

If they do not plan on delivering your package for any reason they need to inform you of that before you pay them. You need to be informed IF the package is given to USPS and you need to be told that USPS can destroy your package with no explanation given to you.

Original review Aug 30, 2024
I recently learned that some items sent by UPS are actually delivered by USPS. This creates problems with returns and damaged or undelivered packages.

Both UPS and USPS claim that they are not responsible for covering the cost of undelivered or damaged items. UPS is now functioning as an unnecessary middleman. UPS is more expensive than USPS. So, why are we paying for UPS to deliver packages that they are giving to USPS?

The excuse given to me was that UPS couldn't find my street when, in fact, it's one of the longest streets in this city. It stands out like a sore thumb on a map and is hard to miss. Doesn't UPS have GPS? This is clearly a lie.
EXPERIENCE 1:
I purchased an item from Garrett Wade.

I requested a return and was given a UPS label. Because the package came with both UPS and USPS labels I personally handed the return package to my postman who said that was no problem as there is a UPS bin at the post office. He would place it there and UPS would return the package. After 2 weeks I had not gotten notice of the return and checked UPS tracking which transferred me to a USPS tracking which stated that the package was "destroyed" by USPS.

I went to the local PO to inquire about it and was told that "the US PO does not destroy packages" and was given a 1 800 number to call. Upon calling I was told "USPS DESTROYS PACKAGES ALL THE TIME." The box may have gotten wet and if so we would destroy it. But when I asked for the precise reason for destroying the package they would not answer. After a week of back and forth phone calls to GW customer service and reminding them that UPS insures all packages up to $100 they refunded my money.
EXPERIENCE 2:
Another package from GW was stated to have been delivered to my home but I had not received it.

GW said that USPS delivered it but upon going to the local PO I was told that the package was left in front of my garage. I asked to see a photo and was told that USPS had a photo of the delivery but that they would NOT show it to me. After much investigating I found the package but the issue was that I had paid for a UPS delivery. UPS shows photos of the delivery.

USPS takes photos but refuses to show them to the customer. What is the purpose of the photo if they won't show you?

Pros:
  • More reliable delivery if they do the delivery
Cons:
  • Less reliability
  • More expense

Preferred solution: Explanation as to why this is taking place.

User's recommendation: I don't know because FedEx may be doing the same thing. The issue needs to be addressed by Congress.

This has been a thing for 20 years... Where have you been?

And for 20 years UPS has been delivering packages to my house without a problem and in fact most of my UPS packages still come to the house. The problem is that for me this is new and upon speaking to the UPS delivery person who came to my house this past week it is increasing.

One day I may get 2 or 3 packages delivered by UPS to my front door and a 4th package is ostensibly not delivered because UPS can't find my house?

The duration that this has gone on is not my complaint, the complaint is that UPS knows when you give them a package if they will or will not deliver it. If they won't deliver it they need to inform the sender of that at that point in time to allow you to take it elsewhere for a lower price.

Tired of all postal entities acting like cover up artist.

UPS - Tired of all postal entities acting like cover up artist.
Updated by user Sep 20, 2024

I will let anyone sending me something through them change who they use or ask them to send it where I have to sign for it.

Original review Sep 18, 2024
I received a package from UPS today. The driver, like all the individuals that work for postal entities, left a large package on my front porch for the porch pirates to potentially take. This was instead of using common sense, or better yet, following my delivery instructions. These are instructions they set up on their app for you to choose from. What a joke! After a bit of a go-around, I was able to talk to an agent and explain that my delivery instructions had not been followed. She understood and had another agent call me about the matter.

I recognized this woman's voice; I had talked to her about this once before. She basically covered up for her delivery person. Even though I told her about my delivery preferences, she told me, in so many words, that it was up to the driver's discretion on how he or she could deliver my package. She also said whether they did what they were supposed to do and whether I could get compensation was up in the air. She suggested I probably wouldn't get compensation and would have to take a loss.

She became frustrated with me, saying I was overtalking her, so I stopped talking. Her solution was for me to post a sign on my house advertising how I want the UPS man to deliver my package and specify where. There was the implication that the driver might comply or might not.

In the black community, I can't expect any better - the postal systems are shot. This woman's suggestions were a cover-up for the delivery driver not doing his job. Thanks, UPS.

Pros:
  • Like any postal entity they serve a purpose
Cons:
  • No accountability
  • Unreliable delivery
  • Cover up for bad service

Preferred solution: I'm looking for improvement in service accountability for delivery peoples actions and true compensation if articles are lost or stolen not stipulations and cover ups for bad service with the consumer

User's recommendation: We need a large lawsuit against these postal entities.

They delivered to wrong address in twice

UPS - They delivered to wrong address in twice
UPS - They delivered to wrong address in twice - Image 2

Ive visited Largh Lauren in Michigan Lighthouse Place Outlet and tried to buy a t-shirt but they didn't have the size I wanted. So, they ordered online for me.

I waited for a month because it didn't deliver.

Later then I visited the warehouse to ask for tracking No. to track my order and I realized that my package was delivered to another house. The employee helped me claim UPS and ordered again right away.( I checked my address several times but had nothing wrong)

But I didn't get the second package either. It was delivered to the same house that the first packagehad been delivered.

So I claimed a second one too.

Almost a month passed UPS gave me a call and they are on the process also have sent the paper work to fill out to the sender but the sender didn't get any of it.

UPS wont refund me unless the paper work has done. Its all their fault. Why just I can't have a refund?

I don't understand why should I contact with the sender and UPS. Why not UPS with delivery man who has fault!

Disabled people are customers too.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
UPS - Disabled people are customers too.

@UPS, @FedEx, @DHLUS should spend less time on DEIB, Chief Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Social Impact Officers, BDS, worrying about my pronouns and what I wish to do to and/or with my genitals. They should focus more on the fact that I am disabled!

Delivery instructions? We live in the community and deserve to be listened to just as much as everyone else. I don't know if there's a Disability Pride Parade or a Disability Pride flag. I don't need 73 word alternatives to describe my situation.

What I need is to be heard, to be listened to, and to have my requests honored.

Being disabled means I have limitations. It doesn't mean that I am totally incapable, but rather that I need some help and certain considerations.

Pros:

Preferred solution: Disability Rights.

User's recommendation: Emphasize emphatically and reemphasize that you are disabled. Repeat it as often as necessary.

Delivery problem

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Delivery required a signature. The driver got out of his truck with the package, but then took the package back into the truck.

He never attempted to get a signature and left a message on the garage door saying the delivery was missed and would have to be picked up at an external location. When I went to the external location to pick up the package, it wasn't there. 'Where's my package?' I asked. UPS responded, 'I don't know!' UPS is going downhill.

There is no connection with the customer. Don't use UPS.

Stolen package

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This is the third package that has vanished from a Chicago warehouse, and I was told it was damaged and subsequently disposed of in the garbage. I have a significant issue with this.

If my package, or any other customer's package, is damaged, I want proof (photos) of the damage, and so should everyone else.

This situation is being handled carelessly; the value of the package is over $350, and a guy at UPS in Edina, MN tells me, 'Well, at least you'll get $100 back.' This is totally disrespectful and shows a disregard for customers' hard-earned money which purchased the contents of the package I shipped to my daughter. UPS workers cannot be trusted.
