Delivery Service

Our apartment complex office refused to accept the package because we haven't signed some form. This is the first time such a rule has been enforced and the first time we've heard the policy existed in the 4 years we've been here, but that's on the complex's office, not UPS.

What is on UPS is that we never got a sticker on the door or any other notification that they had tried to deliver our package the first and second time. If they had left a note like they're supposed to, we would have found out about the issue and had it fixed before the "final" attempt. Now UPS wants us to pay an extra $5 just to try delivering the package again. Their website says you can have it sent to a UPS store and pick it up there for free but then every store on the list says it costs $5 to have the item delivered there. Otherwise they'll just return the package to the sender.

This isn't the first time UPS has screwed us. On a previous package they claimed to have attempted deliveries when they just left a sticker and didn't even knock. We know this because we were in a room right next to the door all day on all three "attempts". We needed the item quickly so we called them and were told the item was at their distribution center in the middle of nowhere. Once we drove all the way out there they told us they didn't have it and it wouldn't be there for a couple more hours, by which time they would no longer be allowing pick-ups.We had to schedule another delivery attempt that time as well.

We've never had a problem with Fed Ex or USPS, it's just UPS that sucks around here.
