In April 2017, a water taxi service found my MP3 player (likely stolen from my luggage) in Florida and shipped it to me via a UPS Store. The player was NEVER delivered to my home in Crystal, Minnesota.
Contacting a live person at the UPS delivery service was extremely difficult, and when I did make contact and provided the tracking number, they could offer no details of what they did to "investigate" what happened to my player. It took weeks and weeks of hounding them until they finally said they would send a check. The files on my player are irreplaceable at any $ amount. Four months earlier a UPS driver delivered a box of oranges to our delivery bin outside our home on the coldest day in Minnesota.
He never rang the doorbell, and we did not discover the oranges until two days later.
They were like rocks. I contacted UPS and they did nothing, not ever an apology.
