Twice, UPS has delivered packages to us AFTER we have gone to bed, and after we have called their customer "service" number to be assured the packages will not be delivered that night. Both times, the driver delivered to our residence after 9:00 PM.
This insult is on top of many years' worth of injury in DC, where our driver would routinely not deliver to our house, but would post a notice that he attempted delivery while we were at home WAITING for him to arrive. The outcome was we had to drive to BFE to retrieve our package because the driver was too GD lazy to stop and attempt delivery.
We now encourage all online retailers we deal with to stop using UPS. We'll go way the *** out of our way to have any delivery company other than UPS deliver packages. In addition to their wanton disregard for customers, they require their drivers to travel all over rural Southern California, where crazy people with guns wait for some interloper to traverse their property lines.
They cannot seem to track packages, but other companies, like Uber and FedEx can tell you to the second when their drivers will arrive at your house. Last, drivers are expected to empty their vehicles, regardless of the number of packages in their charge. That means drivers put in 12-15 hour days, leaving them to ring doorbells after 9:00 at night in an attempt to satisfy their greedy CEO. WE.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Preferred solution: Customer deliveries completed by 6:00 PM, every day..
