UPS has damaged more shipments than Fed Ex or USPS combined, including international post. Boxes routinely arrive scuffed, smashed, and torn.
They are more concerned with speed than service, so packages are tossed rather than moved, and are often crushed in the truck. Also, the UPS store is not able to place shipments via accounts other than your own, unlike Fed Ex, who has printed labels from an account number many times for me.
Also, drivers who claim they knock when they arrive don't, and never try a second time, or wait for an answer. Pickups are scheduled from early in the morning to early evening, and there are no customer service centers other than one in the south end of the city.
