I just signed up for UPS Premium Service to allow for an upcoming vacation in 2015. Unfortunately after doing so I came to find out from a UPS Manager (after escalation through the ranks) that their computer system currently is not allowing packages to be held for vacations to be scheduled in the new year.

Please be aware if signing up for their premium service that your $40 payment will not actually deliver the service promised. Apparently I am the first UPS customer who has discovered this glitch, but surely there are other people who plan to take vacations in the new year and do not want their holiday packages stacked up at their front door while away.

Preferred solution: Deliver the service ordered (i.e., 14 day vacation into 2015) and refund at least a portion of the premium service cost for my time spent working with UPS to troubleshoot..
