UPS in Calgary, Alberta - Bad driver experience

I have spent the day waiting for this delivery. I left the front door open with the screen door shut and was in the same room, not 10 feet from the door as I do not have a door bell. I also reset one of my cameras to pick up the movement so there was no way I would miss him. At 11:50, my dog started barking and I heard the truck pull up and a man came up the steps and put a missed delivery notice on the door and jumped back in the van. I yelled but he drove off. So I get in my van and follow him, honking the horn until he pulls over. I asked him why he didn't knock on the door. He says he rang the door bell, which is a lie because I DON'T HAVE ONE. I tell him I want my package and he says no because he doesn't like MY attitude. I tell him again, I want my package! He again continues that if I "know how to read" I can pick it up at the address as he is not going back to re-deliver because a signature is required. There is nothing more infuriating that someone who does not want to do their job and treats a customer like *** because of it. My home camera shows the driver running up to my door, placing the notice on the door and LEAVING and I still don't have my package. I will contacting both the BBB and the shipper, especially since I was charged $19.99 extra for the delivery confirmation. Had he of done his job and actually attempted delivery instead of leaving the notice and leaving, everyone would be happy. My son was in Vancouver and had forgotten his iPod in Calgary. I paid for overnight express to be able to get it to him before he flew out for Japan. I sent the parcel from Cochrane, Alberta to Vancouver on Monday morning July 25. He was flying out on Thursday afternoon July 28. It was recieved in Burnaby on Tuesday morning. The parcel was not delivered to the address until Thursday afternoon. He did not recieve it as he was gone. I paid to overnight, why would it take 3 days to deliver? Then I had to pay for it to be shipped back to me. With another company and then pay to ship it to him overseas. All I have asked is to get my money back that I paid to UPS. All I am getting is the runaround. It has been over a month and still waiting for a response. I would like to get this settled. I also will be posting my complaint on line as a warning to others.

Details
Had to take days off from work to wait for my packages. Second day of waiting the whole day, the driver was late and never made it. What a waste of time and that I am not earning money from staying at home. Maybe they should train their staffs on how to prioritize who they send it to first. This is totally ridiculous!

Ups Delivery Service Review from Calgary, Alberta

Just had my 3rd microwave delivered by ups. The first one was returned dented on delivery. The second one we opened the box because once again the box was so damaged and the delivered man dropped it from a foot in front of me so I checked before he left. The item was ok so I kept it. The next day we were delivered another one by mistake which I refused, the bottom of the box was hanging open and other dents once again to the outside box. The ups lady said her company loads them like that and there no room in her truck so they get damaged. I would never use this company for any personal items.

UPS in Calgary, Alberta - Driver after a contact with a customer refused to deliver and Sent package back to the sender

The package was sent back because the customer on the receiving end didn't understand the intentions of the USP delivery driver and did not speak a good English. After a call to the main office,Main office requested $35 Money Order on top of all the charges they have got paid for the delivery of a small package. It has been a week now and the package still at the Warehouse, and never has been delivered.We called and explained many many times all the issues and that we want our package. The UPS Office just been saying that hey do not give any information for what ever reason to whoever calls and that they do not care what so ever.

UPS in Calgary, Alberta - Can't even get the basics right...

I asked UPS to redirect a package which was sent to me. Called the customer service line. They said it would be $6 for admin charge...fine. They then said there would be a transportation charge. I said how much is the transportation charge to this other address? (I gave them the new address). They said they didn't know and the computer couldn't tell them. Ok.... It's like going to a restaurant, asking how much the steak is, and the waiter can't tell you. Of course, in their defence, I'm sure I'm the first person in the entire history of UPS to make this incredibly outside-the-box request. How pathetic...

Thats ups way of being nice to scammers. Only the shipper can redirect package unless first attempt has been made.

UPS customs charges, failed delivery, bad service, even worse support

My package was coming from the USA to Canada via UPS. It was fast and on time. The driver left a note on my door that the package was unable to be delivered, like most people in this world I happen to have a job and work it from 9-5. The driver tried to deliver 3 times within the one day only. I was furious when I read on UPS.com that my package would be returned to sender immediately after 3 failed attempts because there was a $28.00 COD charge. I paid for an expedited service that cost $54.00. After attempting to call UPS and getting recorded message after recorded message telling me the rules and to visit their website. As well as visiting their website only to find out that I must wait 5 days for them to send me an activation code, as well as my tracking number not working, I have still not received my package and have no way of finding out where it is. *** you UPS. I will do my best to let others know and I will never order again if the delivery company is UPS. Extremely pissed off customer of UPS.
