UPS Pick up

UPS customer service is a joke! They were supposed to call me to pick up a large deck furniture set I was returning but instead came out without calling and I wasn't home. They left the labels but when I called them said that I would have to pay them to come get the packages. Spoke to supervisor MARIA who said that it was my fault I wasn't home and nothing they can do about it. My choices are pay them, get the items to a UPS location or flag down a UPS truck driving down the street! To schedule a new pick-up, I was told that I would need to be home from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday!!!! WTF???? FED-EX please save me!!!!

I am a disabled woman vision impared and i dont go out of the house unless i have to ( doctors appointments) i do a lot of online ordering and i rely on UPS greatly each month i order and have it delivered and each time UPS claims it couldnt be delivered or left outside til either someone sees it and bring it in or its jacked by god knows who cause they see it just ditting there. i have a security locked door downstairs im on the second floor so when im expecting a package i put a big note on the security door AYTENTION UPS driver!!!! please BANG on door so i can open fpr you if delivering to APT 203 and what happens i dont get what im waiting for and on top of that they got UPS hubs in diffrent areas to drop your package off and you the person that paid the fee have to go pick it up from where ever they take it too..... UNEXCEPTABLE thats not what i paid for. Im very dissappointed withUPS cause ive been on the phone with them for an hour and still aint gonna get my package :-( whats the point ? UPS IS SOOOOOO ***

My tracking confirmed that the package was received and signed up by someone, but it was delivered to the wrong address. The following day I called UPS, and first call they told me the address it got delivered to, which was completely different and in the wrong city. Each call I placed to UPS I had to repeat my story (i called a total of 6 times in 2 days). Why did I call 6x? Because each call, they told me the California UPS center will call me back within an hour. So on my 4th call back, I asked if there's confirmation that whomever signed for the package can be located by them to see whether they still have the package. They put me on hold, and said they were able to speak to that person, confirmed the package was there, and will now send a message to UPS California to get a driver to pick up the package, and that the UPS california will call me back. Same thing, no call back. On the 5th call, I spoke with a 'manager', who tried to call UPS california, and of course what do you know, that person taking on the case had already gone home. Come around to the 6th call, they basically told me that it can take days to even get someone to pick it up and drop it off, so I asked to speak to another 'manager', who basically had the same name and same voice as the agent I spoke with earlier. She was in the middle of calling UPS, and my call 'ended' for no reason. She did call me back and said she spoke with someone from the UPS California and one of them would call me back, but she can't guarantee when. So at this point, I know I will not be holding my breath to get my package. I had them open an investigation, so I can get my money back if they can't get back the package (which probably will take months). I want to tell them, just let me go get it myself!! All these messages they wrote on this tracking number were not read by the next agent. I always have to re-tell my whole story, and asked them to read the messages, then they said ok, i see. And they just read off a scrip and tell me the same thing over and over again. How can a company like this doing this type of business be so careless?

UPS - Terrible service !!!

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD!!! I PAID OVER 20$ TO HAVE MY PACKAGE SHIPPED SECOND DAY AIR BECAUSE I NEEDED IT IMMEDIATELY, AND MY PACKAGE GOT "HELD UP" . THEY REFUSED TO ALLOW ME TO PICK MY PACKAGE UP AT THE ACTUAL UPS FACILITY AND THEY REFUSED TO REFUND ME THE EXTRA MONEY I PAID TO HAVE IT SHIPPED IN 2 DAYS WHEN IT DIDNT COME IN 2 DAYS !!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE UPS AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE USE THEIR SERVICES.THE LEAST YOU CAN DO WHEN YOU MAKE A MISTAKE IS OWN UP TO IT AND MAKE IT RIGHT "SORRY" IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH THATS NOW HOW YOU RUN A BUSINESS.

UPS continues to fall short

I order a lot things online due to my disability. I depend on having the items I purchase delivered. I have very little to no issues with USPS or FedEx but nearly every time I am stuck using UPS there is an issue. I hate complaining because I hate to see people get in trouble or even lose a job. but UPS really needs to clean up their act. I had a an order was supposed to be delivered last Monday 7/31/17 and I waited all day and it didn't show. later that night I seen that UPS said no one was here. I have two dogs and I was waiting and listening for the delivery all day. NONE Of us heard this delivery person..and my dogs can hear anything. there is no sorry we missed you tag nothing..today Tuesday Aug 1st I have been waiting all day doors wide open to make sure they know I am here and it's now 6:30 pm and nothing. maybe it will still come but no one should have to wait to solid days not knowing if it's going to arrive or not. I have a covered porch it has a 20 by 10 awning my porch is 3 feet off the ground. really is no reason to not just put it on my porch. this has happened several times here with UPS and I think it's because I live so far out that the drivers simply don't want to deliver the package out here. I am going to stop purchasing anything that uses UPS. it's just not worth it.

As a long time manager of a large shipping and receiving department for a major manufacturer, please allow me to relate : only two shipping companies ever attained "Do Not Use" status with us.

One was REA, Railway Express Agency , which most of you will not remember.

It was so poor that we had "Not REA" printed on our P.O. forms.

The other gradually became UPS.

For many reasons that I will not expound upon here, service became worse and worse as costs increased. When UPS had its famous strike of 1997, they were replaced completely and not missed.

As a residential customer years later, they toss packages in the yard or leave them by the garage door.

But just to be fair and balanced, they did put a package in a plastic bag once before leaving it outside in the rain without ringing the bell or anything.

Avoid UPS like the plague, their customer support is unable to keep any word they give.

I needed a check to be delivered to my landlord, and paid for ups to deliver it for me. What followed was more than 7 hours now and counting of dealing with customer support who will say anything to ease any frustrations their customers may have, while failing to handle any situation in a remotely seamless fashion. I was not only contacted by their support center's manager, but have been contacted by the local management of the hub that my package was being shipped to. Due to my landlord's company renting an office space, which mind you didn't have his company's name on the over all building... again shared office space, decided to mark the package as return to sender. I've never felt so frustrated with what should have been a relatively simple process, while being made to look like a liar while I contact my landlord to keep him in the loop. I would recommend USPS... they were able to find the location... the first time. I truly can not capture the extent of my frustration in just a few words, but in an attempt to try, simply avoid this company like the plague.

UPS - Next Day Air Rip-off

I ordered an item online and selected UPS next day air. The driver never knocked on the door, just left a slip to pick-up at the access point. The Access point never got the package that day. I guess he was too busy to leave the package at the office complex. Day 2..it's Saturday, the access point said the driver will only come on Saturday for special deliveries. like Next Day Air. Since I paid $30 for Next Day Air, I figured he would come today. No. Called UPS customer service. Spoke to Rep named "Carisma," and she actually laughed and chuckled at my experience, and offered me the "option" to have it delivered to the access point on Monday, or left at my door on Monday, because apparently, UPS is closed on Saturday and Sunday. So the only option is Day 4? I requested a refund and asked to speak to her supervisor to report her unprofessional behavior and was left on hold for 30 minutes. Still on hold while I'm typing this review. Don't know how to request a refund. I will never use UPS again in my life, and will encourage people to use a more reliable and forthright service.
