UPS Delivering Wine
UPS Tracking 925680456904 Attempted Deliver Case of Wine ... day after day they deliver at 12-1PM ... no one home ~ would not accept neighbors signing or people working on the property. Caused wine to sit in 100 degree temps on a truck for 2 days. Refused to deliver later in the day ... why not? Spent 3 hours on the phone with UPS. Then they wanted me to drive over 30 miles to pick it up. They really do not care ... what is amazing they will deliver amazon books from 4-7PM to our neighborhood, but wine can only come when no one is home.
I recently sent a package to my aunt via UPS containing irreplaceable childhood vacation pictures in a handmade scrapbook along with several other miscellaneous items. I checked the status of the package on the date it was set to be delivered and the update online said...
UPS in Columbus, Ohio - Driver damaged my house with truck and insurance will not pay
On June 3 2008 UPS made a delivery to my house. In the process of leaving the driver drove through the branches of a tree next to my house. It had been raining and the branches were hanging low. As he proceeded into the tree a branch snagged on his truck and also on an overhead wire. The wire was attached to the side of the house. The wire was ripped down and siding was pulled from the house. Liberty Mutual, their insurer refused to pay for the damages saying it was an act of "Nature". After contacting my lawyer, he told me it was useless to sue them in small claims court as they would have it moved to regular court and a team of their lawyers would put me through "***". Evidently this is the way they treat all claims against them.
UPS is the biggest inconvinience to online shopping
Angry UPS is the biggest inconvinience in online shopping. - Today, 20:40 I have ordered 2 computers in a row within 2 weeks of each other. The first one was lost (By UPS) that is why I had to order a second one. Now the second computer shipping takes the cake. Me wanting my new toy so bad I take the day off work to wait for the computer. I check the website in the morning and it showed: TAMPA, FL, US 07/11/2008 10:42 A.M. THE PACKAGE WAS LEFT IN A UPS FACILITY / FORWARDED TO THE FACILITY IN THE DESTINATION CITY So I call the 1800 number and they told me that I can go pick up the package at the shipping center. At this point I am already frustrated that I have to drive a total of 40 miles to get it. I call my wife and tell her to pick it up after work. She gets there and asks to pick up the package and they tell her it is on the truck... probably. She asks to check in the warehouse just in case, so they do so and come back and tell her yes it is definitely on the truck and it will be delivered before 7:00pm. 8:00pm she is home now and calls the center back to figure out what the *** happened. This is my favorite part: "The package was put overnight on a holding Truck (18 wheeler) with a pad lock that none has access to. So it was not shipped out, so it was not ready for pickup nor for delivery." "If the people that have the key to the padlock find it on Monday another attempt will be made." 2 computer lost in 2 weeks, way to go UPSh1t (Brown excellent color choice).
UPS AND THEIR SECRET BACKYARD DOCK
I ordered some things from a nursery... 3 trees... I get delivery here all the time by UPS and often they screw it up. This time, the *** couldnt find my address. No calls for directions from him or anything! I called the office 3 TIMES and gave directions.. Still a no show. Last call to them they said they would re schedule delivery on Monday.. that waould 4 days from the supposed delivery date. These are LIVE trees! and cannot be in a box that long. I told them to foget it, I would pick them up myself. I paid 50.00 in shipping charges and then have to pick them up myself? Well, the next day I drove out to get my trees... This is in Sallisaw Oklahoma. What do I find? Locked doors. So I walked around to the back loading dock. No one. I started calling out hello!! Finally I found a guy hid out in a small building. He took my shipping statement and went to find my parcel. You wont believe what we found there at the Sallisaw UPS Depot. There were packages strewn everywhere around laying in the dirt, tossed under a picnic table and even out in the parking area (gravel and dirt in behind the UPS depot where they load trucks.) I picked a couple of them up, and they were full, taped, and addresses on them for shipping. And here they were tossed in the dirt, gravel and hot sun, just laying out there. Anyone could just walk off with them. Not stacked up, not in a neat pile... I'm saying it looked like they just threw them out and left them lay where they landed. No wonder UPS is always losing packages for people!! Its probably stuck under a bumper or a wild dog drug if off somewhere. I couldn't believe it! These people need put out of business and they have lost me as a long time customer. I have always shipped UPS and I do alot of shipping with our business. No more! S. Gardner
Over the years I've seen UPS go from good to bad. To save money and time they now only ring the doorbell, and leave your package at your doorstep. I once had a computer delivered like this, and couldn't believe it was just left there. Today my package was delivered in a box that looked like it was straight out of the garbage can. I saw that *** delivery guy scurry away as fast as he could before I could answer the door. Unbelievable. Even if I wanted to complain, he was already too far to do so.
UPS denial of claims.
Shipped a 52lb computer system in a double wall box rated at 44 ECT and 95lb gross. This is well within UPS's rated specs and requirements. Along with the standard styrofoam corners there was an additional 2 inches of firm sponge foam around the computer case. Inside the system there was rolls of bubble wrap to firm up and support the internals. Upon delivery, bottom corner showed evidence of a hard drop and crushing. The system did not work, troubleshooting revealed the motherboard needed replacement. Service tech $150, replacement motherboard $165........$310 total. It was insured for $500.oo UPS is denying my claim based on insufficient packaging. It has been weeks of phones calls to UPS and various 'agents' and supervisors, then dealing with the UPS store and its parent company Mailboxes ETC, their regional rep etc etc. The end result is that I ended up refunding the money to my customer $485 and UPS stole $310 plus $65 in shipping from me due to their damages.
UPS in Newburyport, Massachusetts - Nasty reps for attempt to change address 2 x
I have called to 6x to speak with a billing representative to change my address BACK to the billing address it was for over 1 year. I did not make any changes to my billing address. This was generated by UPS. I have not been receiving my bills since May 08 and reported this twice. I To resolve the issue I have called and have been left on hold for three days over 25 minutes each day, and had to endure very rude representatives when I did get someone. All with no avail. What gives with you people! How does anyone get through to tell you your customer service stinks!!! Why are you training people to be so rude when there is a problem. One representative told me the other one lied to me - is this really how you folks do business? I have reported this issue now six times - five in three days.
UPS in Apple Valley, Minnesota - Charged me for an order I had cancelled
First I was charged for an order I had cancelled on the same day I placed the order. My credit card company took care of it and I was refunded. I had placed another order a day later which was May 16th. I had emailed them several times with no response. Finally on June 27th I received an email that my order was on the way. It is July 9 and I still don't have it and UPS says they never received it. Again I emailed them and at this time have not heard from them. This company stinks.
UPS in Denver, Colorado - By way of explanation...
This is a letter that I had to write to a client that kept insisting that there must be cheaper delivery to his address; Good day, Mr. Lxxxxs. I would ask you to look at the feedback that we have managed to keep in good stead all of these years. It is because we really try to make sure that everyone is totally satisfied. I must point out that you have repeatedly asked for extra consideration on shipping, which we simply will not do. In fact, I would be remiss not to remind you that, in the ad, we refuse to deal outside the USA. This incident has a few calling for an end to any requests like this at all. In our area, and for some reason especially with us, UPS and Fed-Ex both have an abysmal record for trashing high-dollar and often very rare music stuff; i.e., tubes, amps, processors and the absolute worst, when they delivered a 1967 Gibson SG to San Francisco and ruined it (the guitar had survived almost 3 decades of being utilized by some top talent). This guitar was in it's proper hard case, within a wooden frame and double boxed, and they still managed to trash it as if it were nothing more than a box of pencils. The Samsonite gorilla would have gotten out of the business after seeing what these untouchable, effete teamster "pros" can do to our prized treasures. On another occasion, they did the same to a Gibson ES 175. Apparently, they consider a "fragile" designation stamp to be a challenge. Further, if you have ever tried to make one of these organized-crime backed organizations make good on the "insurance" that they foist upon one, you will know as well as we that you have wasted your money on the insurance and time on the pursuit. It is a definite "do not do" type of situation, and we are not anywhere near alone in our misery; all complain, some acquiesce. I cannot know your reasons for wanting this particular pickup. I have offered to let you out of this and we both part with no harm, no foul. Yes, it does seem like a lot of money to ship, but we are not the USPS and we do know that, unlike the 'private' delivery companies, they show pride in their accountability, not sneering mockery that one would be so *** as to trust them in the first place. Checking the very convoluted and circuitous UPS website, the best rate I get is over $80, with the same pain-in-the-patoot system and results coming from their "competitor" FedEx. We just do not do DHL. Oy. So, this brings me to my very final point after putting all of this time and effort into satisfying your inquiry; do we, a) both file for a mutual agreement not to complete this purchase, or b) follow through. We need you to be nothing short of completely satisfied. Your call.
