UPS - the worst!!!!!
I sold an item on ebay and shipped with UPS. I paid for the shipping through Paypal, but then felt that the package that I used wasn't good enough to protect the item from damage. I took the item into the UPS store and had the employee repackage the item and I paid the difference for the larger box and the extra packing material. A few days later UPS took more money from my Paypal account telling me that I owed more because my package was larger than what I had originally said it was through e-bay. I explained that I had already paid the difference in the store, but they didn't care. The item arrived for my customer all broken, she filed a claim and they came to investigate - they determined that it was my fault. I now have to pay my customer back the purchase price plus the shipping cost. I am furious! I over paid by around $25 for the shipping, they destroyed the item and now I have to pay for everything. I filed a complaint with the BBB as well. I will NEVER ship with UPS again! Their lack of customer service skills, care for others items and the fact that they took money from my account while I was disputing the extra charges.

UPS bad choice for Overnight Shipping
I run a business that ships numerous packages weekly, all of which require Next Day Air shipping. Given that I ship perishables, it is crucial for my packages to arrive in a timely fashion. UPS offers about a 40% chance of that happening, based on about 2 years of service with them. I have since moved on to DHL and Fedex, both of which have provided me with aboiut a minimum of 80% success rate. The savings were minimal with UPS, and were by far outweighed by the devastating losses incurred. For those seeking reliable Overnight shipping, Fedex and DHL are much better bets.

I was contacted by a company to purchase product. They supplied me with a valid UPS number and I sent it. They not only didn't pay for the items ordered, they refused to pay for shipping and UPS is extorting the money from my company. So, not only does UPS condone stealing, they allow them to further screw to victim by refusing to pay shipping on the items stolen. They are too much of a coward to collect from the thieves, they instead go after the decent business owner. My company no longer ships or excepts requests for shipping UPS!!!
Do Not Use UPS - No Regard For Your Personal Property
I should have known better then to ship using UPS. I had worked briefly for UPS and watched as a driver threw everything off his truck down an embankment in the snow breaking things and laughing so that he could arrange it on the truck for what he considered better delivery. I recently shipped packages that arrived smashed and the contents of some packages smashed as well. Some of the boxes seemed intentionally damaged. As well when I packed some boxes as recommended by UPS at the store the weight of some boxes was beyond the recommended weight of the box. I was informed that UPS would not insure the packages only after they were excepted and processed. Also I had requested the packages ship the following day. UPS screwed that up as well and I was charged a re-processing fee to correct their mistake. I will never use ups again. NEVER!
UPS's bad service
UPS shipping a lot but offer bad service: Nov 6th, my package has arrived China Custom and required document for clearance. But nobody noticed me until I call UPS hotline. A guy who named Kidson Zhao sent me a mail without instruction. I had to call times for documentation. I complaint to hotline, but got cold word that "it is the process". Times I tracked after that, no progress. 17th, I had to call the custom who answered "no submission"! The custom office called UPS directly for the document. 18th, Custom got document. 23th, a postman gave me package rudely.

UPS in Los Angeles, California - Liar on customer support
I was pissed because my package was sitting in Southern California when it was suppose to be shipped overnight to Northern California. The girl on the phone first agreed with what was said online. Sitting in SOCAL. I told the girl on the phone it was unacceptable, they need to fix it. She puts me on hold and says she made a mistake and package would be delivered that day. IT was not. SHE LIED JUST TO GET ME OFF THE PHONE! I was a important package for my son at college, paid extra to have it shipped overnight. Pissed Customer.
UPS in Massena, New York - Miserable personnel
This is regarding UPS CCU Utica,NY store. I own an antique business and ship a lot of items thru UPS ground. Lately, I am greeted by a miserable woman with dark hair who has an attitude and should'nt be working there. There is also a wonderful lady named Sue, who is always cheerful and helpful when I bring my packages in.I am considering going back to Fed Ex as at least they treat me with respect... and are always cheerful there...Just wanted to let you know the help that you employ!! She should be thaknful for her job in this economy~
