UPS Outstandingly POOR Service

I sent a package to California on 12-24-09 via the UPS store in Royal Oak on Woodward. It was never delivered to the correct address in California but left on the front porch of a previous address they stored in their computer. After finally finding it in a city over 50 miles away, it was supposedly caught in San Fran and a customer service representative from UPS said they'd reroute it. Oh no-it was shipped back to the original sending point in Royal Oak and UPS Representatives said they would be nice enough to refund the original shipping cost. No customer service recovery, no nothing. NEVER SEND ANYTHING UPS. All experiences with the United States Postal Service have been better than this; they even refunded overnight charges when they failed delivery the next day AND STILL DELIVERED THE PACKAGE. UPS, YOU HAVE REALLY GONE DOWNHILL!

Sounds like UPS DID MAKE AN HONEST MISTAKE but, they guarantee priority shipping by a certain time and refund your money if that promise is made, so FREE SHIPPING!! they made a mistake you, got your money back and package still delivered. HORRIBLE JUST HORRIBLE LOL!!

Verifying that you sent it to the right address in the first place would have been a good idea. They don't just pick an arbitrary address from your address book to send it to.

And what are you talking about "customer service recovery"?

UPS in Los Angeles, California - Inadequate Customer Service

Purchased a GPS online with O.Depot--what was delivered was a Thumb Drive--Called O.Depot Customer Service-will replace it with GPS--but let me have your credit card just to place order (will not be charged) on delivery-have thumb drive be ready for pick up. UPS came out dropped off gps but did not take thumb drive. And of course my credit card is charged twice. Called repeatedly -- we will send UPS back out to pick up--Didn't happen. Called again-spoke to a supervisor--he "help" was not any better than the service rep. My double charge is being held "hostage" until they get this what $20 thumb drive back? I am totally fed up with this group. It is lack of follow up that will discourage me from using Office Depot, and my experience will be shared with others

I have been a professional driver in different cities in different states. And these so-called "professional" drivers that UPS hires are nothing more than extremely dangerous, violent, and destructive drivers! For one thing, I have NEVER seen a UPS truck being driven...

UMM....UPS has one of the safest driving records out there genius! There is a very long and rigorous qualification process for these drivers. UPS would not allow drivers on the road that puts the public at risk, they have a reputation to protect.

UPS delivered to wrong address

on Tuesday a letter was sent overnight to my correct address. When I had not received by 2 pm on Wednesday, I contacted the sender. We got on a conference call with UPS rep. She said it was attemped but no one home. I told her I WAS home at that time and no one made any attempt. Then we identified the problem. UPS had changed the street direction from W to E. So East was where the attempt was made. I had to drive 15 miles that evening to the service center to pick up the letter. The woman there said my address was not in the UPS system. I told her I had lived there for almost 20 years (house is 130 years old) and have mail delivered every day. Also have had several UPS deliveies made with no issues. I asked her to contact me when it was put in the system. No word as yet. The attitude on their side was non chalant and accepted no blame. I will not use again.

UPS Damaged package contents

I can't seem to find anything right with UPS no matter how hard I try. Every package I get looks like its been in a war. Ive seen the drive leave my package in the weather. Ive seen him throw it on my steps from about 10 ft away. The company seems to get slower and slower. I with a company that cares would spring up and put these guys right out of business. Bottem line they suck. Not just the drivers the company itself. Check out youtube videos of these guys kicking our stuff around. Their so mature!!

Because UPS is unionize, the employees have no fear they will be fired if they don't do their job! My sister has the same problem at the Post Office, you have to screw up 6 times in a month before they can nominate you to be reprimanded. If you mess up 5 times, after a month it resets, so no one ever gets fired!!!

UPS what a mess

UPS has mis-placed, mis-delivered or returned to sender several of my package in fact they have only managed to deliver 1 package to my home. So recently I placed an order with Nutisystems who ships with UPS upon finding this out once I got my tracking number I called UPS and gave them my tracking number and informed them of their history of delivery problems with my address and asked to supply them with information to aid them in the delivery of my package. I was advised that until my package was delivered, mis-delivered or marked as undeliverable nothing could be done. So today when my package was mis-delivered I called UPS and Nutrisystems and was told there wasn't much that could be done, they would track the package and get back to me. I was lied to by Nutisystems when I was advised that UPS is the only shipper they use and UPS was insincere and unintrested. Bad customer service all around!

UPS in Harper Woods, Michigan - Told patron to keep package that wasn't theirs

Shipped package from Michigan to Texas took over 2 weeks to arrive, what happened to UPS planes? Also, had wrong address on package; delivered to wrong address; recipient tried to be a Good Samaritan and returned to UPS store; UPS told her to keep package they didn't want it. She was extremely frustrated. Later she found out that she had to "call" UPS to get the package delivered to right address. She tracked down my sister and delivered the package to her. They accept no wrong doings because now all stores are independent they can do what they want.

All UPS stores are franchises. You could own one if you do desired.

However, had you put the right address on the package in the first place, it might have been delivered. Since the UPS store did not deliver your package, why would you assume they would take it back?

They should have told you to call the 1-800 UPS number and a driver would have picked it up.

Also, what level of service did you select?? If you did not select an air option and selected a ground option, they would not have sent it on a plane.

Absolutely true!! I ordered UPS 3 day select paid $16.40 extra.

Ordered item Monday night. Processed by vendor on Tuesday with and email confirming to UPS with tracking number. Now Friday, checking tracking number. Not scheduled for delivery until next Monday.

Why the heck did I pay $16.40 extra. UPS does not count the day they get the package, and no weekend days. So my 3 day select ends up being 6 days.

I could have had it mailed by the postal service. This vendor only uses UPS, so I guess it is good bye to them as well.
