I paid for insurance to cover possible damages and losses for a shipment. After numerous phone calls and emails the claim for loss on a package that was broken open and parts were missing was determined to be my fault. Some agent who I would bet has never even put a...

I spend my summers living in a different state than where I live the rest of the year. I made the mistake of letting my Dad choose UPS to ship a bass trombone to me for the summer so I could practice.

The trombone itself was packed inside it's hard case which was packed in a box with peanuts. I inspected the trombone before it was sent, and it was in perfect condition. Somehow, during shipment the box received such a bad hit that the bell of the instrument was crushed through the box, packing material, AND hard case. An extremely rude UPS worker took my trombone away to have it inspected.

They have had it for WAY too long and it is very doubtful that i am going to be receiving any insurance even though it was insured for $2500.

My dad sent it through his company which has a preferred shipper number. If that is how they treat their preferred shippers, I never want to ship with them again.

Deeply disappointed with UPS

UPS delivered my package in time but in day time when everybody were out for their jobs. I contacted customer service (somebody named Christopher) and asked for after hours delivery because that option was offered to me by UPS representative two weeks ago for another parcel. That time representative was not so nice. He explained that option does NOT exists in UPS (????? How it possible? It was offered to me two weeks ago as a valid option!!!) and recommended me redirection or pickup. Redirecting could be a good option . I acked for shift manager. Conversation with shift manager Albert ( ID: NET2395) was useless also. He explained that UPS charged in addition for redirection. PickUp is kind of inconvenience for me because I need to live work early. Now I contacted my supplier with request to change Delivery Company.

I went back into our company's account and pulled up the history. I can no longer paste the information showing the package promised for Monday delivery, since it is now in the system with a rescheduled delivery date for Tuesday (although, the fact that it says "rescheduled" is a big hint). However, I WAS able to copy the information stating that a Saturday delivery was indeed scheduled. Please see below. Personal details have been removed.

UPS in Amsterdam, Ohio - Undelivered Parcel Sinkhole

My experiences with UPS have been bad every time. Once I ordered flowers that the vendor shipped via UPS and UPS held the flowers in their warehouse for a week! Another time, I purchased an item to be delivered to my office. For some reason the Suite number was not added to the shipping label. The vendor called back requesting UPS add the suite number within the window of time accepted. Rather than accepting the change they have refused to deliver the package. Now I have to drive 20 minutes out of the way to get the package from the UPS shipping facility. The vendor was apologetic and said that they did everything correctly, but someone at UPS did not make the changes per their own policy! I am at the point where I have considered not shopping from vendors that use UPS!

I have to agree UPS ALWAYS ASK FOR A SIGNATURE. WHEN YOU KNOW UPS IS GOING TO DELIVER REQUEST A SIGNATURE.

THAT WAY IF YOU ARE NOT AT HOME THEY WILL HAVE TO COME BACK. SO YOU WAS HOME AND IT TOOK YOU A LONG TIME TO COME TO DOOR.

DO NOT BLAME THEM. NOW I CAN UNDERSTAND IF IT WAS FED EX...THEY ARE THE REAL S*&* HEADS.

They do not leave packages in high risk areas, such a apt. complexes.

Sounds like your peaceful little dead end street isnt very high risk like you tried to make it out to be. Also, they are not even allowed to enter your home

UPS in Kelowna, British Columbia - Ridiculous fees!

I bought items from an ebay seller & shipping was 67$ now UPS wants another 60$ on my end forr so-called brokerage fees! So a pkge that was supposed to be shipped via US Postal service & would have cost me 30-40$ for shipping will now cost me 128$ for shipping via UPS! No other courrier charges these absurd fees! They know ive pd for these items so now they want ransom money for me to get them! Even the UPS driver once told me to never use them for anything worth more than 20$ otherwise they will make you pay bg time! Its nothing more than a scam to charge Canadians brutal fees! Its funny how they never ever tell the shipper about these fees! They are an absolute rip-off!

If you don't want to pay customs/brokerage fees, then don't buy things from other countries. And it's not UPS you should be mad at, it's the Canadian customs agency. They are notorious ***.

UPS in Austin, Texas - I am pissed off at driver who keeps dropping off expensive packages at apt doorstep in San Marcos TX

I am upset that the UPS driver keeps dropping off expensive packages at my doorstep in a college apartment. This is in the hood and nothing will last out on the doorstep of a college apartment. I know a good friend who drives for UPS and they have informed me that this is not how the driver should act. I should go by the terminal and complain. I am not there and this is about the 5th time this has happened. I have been by the UPS terminal in San Marcos, Texas and complained about this incident and nothing gets done. I guess that when I leave the property they all just sit back and get their chuckles at me. Aren't we paying these clowns good money to provide a service? I don't understand why this keeps happening. Thanks for any help you could offer me.

I agree the driver is only delivering according to instructions and unless the sender indicates otherwise, they(he) will continue to leave the package at your doorstep. Perhaps you can have the sender send packages to the apt.

mgmt. and have them sign off.

#152855

If you don't want the driver to leave the package, then you'd have to tell whoever sent it to you to require a signature upon delivery. The driver is just doing what the sender indicates. He has no idea that the contents are valuable, unless it's indicated by the sender.

UPS=Damaged goods again

UPS driver is a POS...this lazy SOB instead of walking up 5 steps and knocking on my door literally throws my packages into my alleyway over a fence. Yesterday I had a pair of fishing rods and reels(that I need for work) thrown into the alley and both were damaged. I would love to beat the *** out of this guy but I never seem to catch him...what can I do? I cant believe in this day and age that there is no way to combat this kind of BS. This is what happens when a company gets too big.

I ship my product all over the US and Europe. I used to use UPS in the US but they kept breaking my product.

Switched to Fedex, no problem. Ship to Europe with USPS, no problem. My product got picked up by another company and they wanted me to ship UPS with account #.

Guess what, more broken products. UPS just sucks!!!!

Contact UPS directly at 1-800-742-5877. Ask to speak to the supervisor who is in charge of routes. Good luck.
