UPS lying about delivery, many times

Today they said my package was delivered to the front door at 7pm so I went outside literally 5 minutes later and nothing was there! This has happened on multiple occasions and only with UPS. I have lost hundreds of dollars over the years from UPS not just letting management know they can't find an address. I would happily pick it up from UPS if I know there is a problem. I've filed claims that never get paid and are ignored. I have to rely on Amazon to be gracious enough to do a redelivery and I am extremely thankful to them, otherwise I would be out of luck. This is a huge discouragement to even shop online.

You don't lose money if a package gets stolen off of your porch or misdelivered. You get a refund, it's a guaranteed service. Just have to call Amazon or whoever and report it.

UPS can't figure it out like the rest can

So last week we were supposed to receive a shipment of wine a Washington winery. The shipment required an adult signature at the address. For some reason, every other shipping company understands that they can get that signature at the front office of our apartment complex. Not so with UPS. Furthermore when I called and asked them to have the shipment delivered to the front office for signature they said it could be done the next day. When the next day came it was not done. When I called and asked why they agree to have it re-delivered. But the driver opted not to because it was Friday afternoon late. Finally almost a week later, I was told that it was company policy that may not have someone else sign for something that needed to be delivered to my address. Five different stories five different people and finally almost a week later we get our shipment. Who's on first, what's on second, poor delivery service, and for supporting service when asked where the delivery was. Don't use UPS!

Is it against company policy to knock on the door now?? I had been waiting on this delivery for a week, and luckily was keeping track of it....when it was delivered, the UPS driver didn't even knock on the door, just dropped the package on my porch!! I'd say...

NEVER USE UPS

UPS is a waste if time and money. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt from all their complaints. I paid a pretty pricy cost for next day air delivery. I was supposed to receive a package Friday. Today is Saturday and they say that either the package is lost or it might be waiting at the customer service center. When i called all they did was mock me or leave me on hold for thirty minutes and hang up. I called the specific location and I had the same experience. Every time I would call and finally be able to talk to someone they would say they would forward a message to the center. However, not once out of the eight times I called did I get a call back. Instead some crystal woman said that she was going to hang up on me because she didnt know where the package was and wasnt going to look because it was the weekend and there was no way she could get a hold of anyone in that center. I asked to leave a complaint in the person above hers voicemail and she said no one at ups had voicemail or an extension that i could be forwarded to. Basically lying. Who doesnt have voicemail nowadays I will never use UPS again.

UPS in Salt Lake City, Utah - Too lazy/powerful to fix their own mistake...

To UPS "You sent me a bill/invoice #0000YE2485440, Control ID 37S9, for $36.72. I have not contracted or asked for your service in at least a year. The V.A. contracted with NOVASAM INC...Glen Burnie MD 21061 to send me a small computer to check my breathing. Once done "NOVASAM" called UPS and had them pick the device up and instructed me to leave it on my front porch. Your driver picked it up, there was no return sticker provided. 5 Nov 2010 I recieved a bill for a service I did not ask for. I called your customer service and explained the above. The woman I spoke to went to talk to her supervisor, the result was I was supposed to contact NOVASAM and get them to take care of the bill. I explained that I do not have the slightest clue how to get ahold of NOVASAM. Then I asked why I should do your job for you. I did not tell UPS to pick the item up. Nor did I tell them to ship it any where. So I can not be held responsible for a problem created by UPS with NOVASAM's help. The woman said, "those are the rules." To which I responded I am not doing your job for you. I eventually asked to talk to her supervior and she stated that she had just spoken to her supervisor. I asked again to speak with her supervisor , she said "Goodbye Mister McCoy," and hung up on me. I would like as many people as possible to know how I was treated, and hopefully for all of them to e-mail UPS and ask ... why??? Thank you...

Call V.A. 1-800-827-1000, and tell them you're being improperly billed because they failed to properly issue a call tag. Problem solved.

UPS

I am very unhappy with the delivery service of my package that I ordered from amazon. I have recieved packages from UPS on many other occasions and have never had any type of isse before. The delivery guy practically threw the package into my hands as soon as the door opened, and even after I said hello, he said nothing. UPS may wanna consider investigating or monitoring who works for them. This is ridiculous. After all the money they charge for shipping and handeling,my package should have came with a smile or at least a hello would have been nice.

Ups sucks

i ordered something from webs best deals and they shipped it through ups. but i never received my item. either they delivered it to the wrong door, stole my package, or one of my neighbors took it (highly doubt that). all of this is very fustrating because webs best deals hasn't contacted me about this matter although i have made 3 attempts to contact them. and ups won't do anything unless webs best deals contacts them first. either way i will never buy anything off of amazon again. what a bunch of thieves........ will be reporting this to the bbb and consumer affairs. also ups needs to stop allowing their drivers to leave packages at the door @ their discretion. they could say they left it and really be stealing. all they have to do is scan it, mark it left, and then take it back onto the truck. what a scam.

UPS Service SUX!!!

UPS's service is TERRIBLE!! I had to pick up a package at a pick up center because they said no one home to sign! Sign?? I've been receiving packages for a while & this time they need a signature?? Makes no sense. When I went to the center here in League City, Tx., I was told by a "supervisor" that they couldn't find my packages. This guy Arthur was a punk kid that was so unprofessional & lacked any managerial or communication skills. He searched for about an hour while I waited at the center until he came up with one box. Ok, he got half the order. He then searched for another hour & brought me someone else's package & if it weren't for me being honest, he wouldv'e let me walk right out with someone else's package. Unbelieveable! He then proceeded to get an attitude because I made the comment that he was willing to give me someones else's package. There I lost it with this guy inside but I was raging because he acted as if he could care less that the package was found & had a whatever attitude. I left after that & tried to complain to someone about what happened. THERE IS NO COMPLAINT DEPARTMENT AT UPS!! INCREDIBLE! IF YOU'VE GOT A PROBLEM WITH UPS OR AN EMPLOYEE, WELL BETTER GET READY TO RECEIVE A "WE DON'T CARE ATTITUDE" BY THEM BECAUSE THEY KNOW YOU HAVE NO RECOURSE & NO ONE TO COMPLAIN TOO! WELL, I FINALLY RECEIVED MY PACKAGE A WEEK LATER...I STILL THINK THEY HELD MY PACKAGE AT THEIR FACILITY OUT OF SPITE. IF ARTHUR WOULD'VE BEEN MY EMPLOYEE, I WOULD'VE FIRED HIM ON THE SPOT, NO QUESTIONS ASKED. I'LL NEVER USE UPS AGAIN IF I CAN HELP IT, BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY TO COMPLAIN OR GET ANYTHING DONE BECAUSE IT IS A CONTINUOUS LOOP OF THE SAME PEOPLE TAKING THE CALLS. WHERE'S THE UPPER MANAGEMENT???? THIS COMPANY HAS *** POOR COMMUNICATION, TACT & MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IN MY OPINION!

I work for UPS and we can be difficult at times. Though most of us are pretty helpful.

The only reason why you would need to sign for a pkg is if the shipper added that to the pkg. Or if the pkg contained wine/alcohol.

Now with the customer service person, can't help you there. Some of them are not as bright as the others.

When you were there you should have asked to speak to the center manager or one of the full time supervisors.

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience.

We are all not like that.

Sounds like the sender requested a signature. You probably went in there annoyed because of that and acted like a bitchh right from the start, then wondered why you got crapppy service.

Ups are a bunch of idiots

Today I recieved a package but to my surprise it was left on the front door of my apartment.what it shocked me more is the innapropiate and very rude note left behind by the delivery man.It say WANNA PLAY *** LIKE YOU DON'T HEAR THE DOOR I'LL LEAVE YOUR BOX TO BE STOLEN!.I filled a complaint with them and all that supervisor tyrone could tell me is that he was a seasonal worker like if that excuse him and at no time there was a I'AM SORRY.never will use ups again they don't care about their customer and they worker are nothing but lazy.

UPS delivers illegal tobacco shipments from NY

United Parcel Service UPS is handling illegal shipments from Mail order tobacco companies. These shipments do not comply with the remaining provisions of the PACT act identifying them with proper labeling and requiring an adult signature at the door. It is also UPS corporate policy that they not deliver tobacco/cigarettes directly to consumer. Their service center in Olean, NY and the UPS store in Jamestown look the other way when these shipments come in. We suspect bribes but do not have proof. This is a perfect example of corporate greed. UPS has no problem with our children getting these products and becoming addicted to cigarettes.

Ordering cigarettes from an Indian reservation is not illegal.

And if it's coming from a UPS Store, it's not an example of "corporate greed" at all, since UPS Stores are not owned or staffed by UPS employees.

If someone lies about the contents of their package, it's not UPS's or a UPS Store's fault at all.

What evidence do you have that UPS knows what it is in the package if the shipper does not identify the contents correctly. If your kids are buying tobacco it appears the problem is with the parents not the delivery company.
