UPS---many excuses,few on-time deliveries

UPS issued me a tracking number which I checked on daily until the delivery date. On the delivery date, they posted "Adverse Weather Conditions" and no delivery took place. I telephoned UPS to see what happened because the weather was sunny and beautiful. I was told by a UPS Rep. that because of excess snow at my city--the delivery truck could not move. There was ZERO snow at my city and the Rep.(who was a half a continent away from me) informed me that I was surely mistaken ! I asked to speak with a supervisor and was informed that my situation did not warrant a supervisor ! My opinion of UPS is somewhat tainted by this experience and I would never accept deliveries from these people again----E V E R ! This type of corporate "incompetence" is almost what this country expects : "The two most common elements in the universe are hydrogen and stupidity"--

UPS in Cambridge, Massachusetts - Horrible billing problems. Terrible delivery service!

I sent two packages with the option of billing the recipient. UPS billed me. I called them, they said they would bill recipient. I received another bill from them for the packages. I called them again. They said it was straightened out. Then I got a third bill. I called them again. They said, so sorry, we will bill recipient. Six months later my account was suspended for not paying those bills! Recently I had a package delivered to my office address. Instead of leaving the package inside the office building, the delivery person left it outside the building on the street. Even trying to change the address on my bill was a nightmare.

Did you fill out a waybill when shipping it? Did you write their account number and check the 'bill recipient' box? Probably not.

UPS did nor ring the bell and only post a note

My wife was waiting all day by the door for an ups delivery that needs signature. Ups called us the day before. She saw the ups car came and an ups person came out and walked to our door without carrying a package. And he did not ring the bell or knock on the door. He just post a paper at our door said ups will try a second delivery next week. So my wife went out to catch the guy before he leave. He said next time he will knock and handed her the package. We are very mad that what kind of delivery service is this? Do they try to save cost by using this quick "delivery" so they do not waste time waiting for customers to answer the door and sign the package? A very disappointing ups customer.

While she was in the washroom the guy came.

Bu the time she got to the door he has already left after ringing the bell three times. She was afraid I would get angry.

Online store shipped UPS to post office - lost it

Ordered 2 items online, received tracking number and was told 3-5 day delivery UPS tracking said delivered but never received. Called UPS and was told target has a deal with the post office Post office could not help me without post office tracking number, which nobody had. After hours on the phone and visiting the post office I was refunded the money (in 3-5 working days) Hope the refund comes faster than the package, which never arrived. They did not seem to care about the problem or my wasted time, so I will waste no more with them!

AS A FORMER UPSER I CAN TELL YOU THAT YOU SHOULD AVOID USING UPS. UPS HANDLES TOO MANY PACKAGES AND IT HAS BECOME OUT OF CONTROL.

UPS holding a package

I've been told by several people at UPS that a package is being held Kentucky. It can't be picked up! We can't get to it. The package WILL go to the UPS facility in Massachusetts next week. That is the earliest it will be available. Now, UPS has a huge facility in Kentucky, and a lot of packages get routed there. I fully accept that. Problems can happen in any business. OK. The package was shipped GROUND from NEW YORK to MASSACHUSETTS! UPS drove the package 700 miles in the wrong direction! Alright, I've dealt with shipping mistakes over the years. I've gone to facilities for FedEx, DHL, and UPS before to pickup packages that weren't delivered on time. We deal with a lot of packages between Boston and New York, and feel more comfortable with ground shipping because at least a package won't end up on a flight around the world. I think it's criminal for UPS to say: "Yes, we made a mistake. We took your package 700 miles in the wrong direction. Yes, it's being tracked in our system, and we know where it is right now. We're sorry for the mistake. No, you can't fly down to Kentucky to pick it up yourself. You have to wait until we drive it up to Massachusetts in 5 days. Alternately, you can have the package intercepted and sent back to the shipper. That takes about as long. We're sorry for our mistake."

UPS lies in customer support

Trying to return a damaged item I purchased on EBAY, The were supposed to come and inspect it and the driver said I had to package up the item and they would take it another day. They did not come back. I call customer service and they lied about everything twice. They would not tell me when they would pick up the package and transferred me to people who did not know anthing about the previous conversations. The seller at EBAY has not contacted me since. I will not buy anything from EBAY or use UPS ever again . They all lie!

Ive got one better, they said they delivered my package today at 3:23....I was here, there is only one way down my street and back out...No UPS truck even came down my street today and there is no package....the wed site says at front door but its not there and they have 8 days to "trace" it, which consists of their driver going to the location where he left the package and looking for it..FREAKS

UPS is the worse!

I bought a guitar from Guitar Center in FL thru my local Guitar Center here in Boston. The guitar made it all the way to my local office but got damaged on the truck supposedly. UPS never even tried to deliver the package to me so I could check it out. According to Guitar Center it was packed very well and it would take a lot to damage the guitar short of actually standing on it. I called UPS just to get the standard run around and no real information. I am sending Emails to all the people I do business with and ask them to drop UPS. SOMERVILLE, MA, US 11/16/2010 1:43 P.M. Let me get this straight you buy a Guitar from guitar center and you never get the guitar. You find out that the guitar got damaged in shipping.

So you call UPS and get the Standard run around and are mad because they did not let you check out the damaged guitar. But you are not a UPS customer you are Guitar Center customer. Why on earth would you be dealing with UPS when you are doing business with Guitar Center?

Why on earth would UPS deal with you, your not there customer. This complaint is not your brightest moment

Guitar Center ships in those *** triangular boxes with no peanuts or bubble wrap around the guitar. I've had 2 guitars damaged that were sent by them.

They are poorly packed, despite what they told you on the phone.

Either way, you're not responsible for the damage, they are. It's not like you're out money here.

mines its funnier!! NOT!

when the package arrive to my state they couldnt find the address and this is what it says on the shipment progress when i track it: "The apartment number is missing or is incorrect UPS is attempting to obtain this information / The address has been corrected The delivery has been rescheduled" funny thing is that the address information was correct but they just send it to one of the ups stores n well! when i get to the store they never got the package on the date of arrival n in THE OFFICE they said they couldnt do anything they just told me to call costumer service n track the package... then i called the costumer service they apologize blah blah blah n told me they were sending it back to the office again because they cant redirect to my home address n told me to pick it up over there!

now i get to the Ups store to pick it up and they charge me 10$ in order to pick up! WTF 10$ fee because i dont have a mail box in the office!

Had a high dollar bat shown scanned in California at 1:00 a.m., made it through to out for delivery at 9:54 a.m. then shown as missing at 11:07 a.m. Then they told me they were not responsible because the container I shipped in did not meet shipping standards. Only problem is that I purchased a brand new tube from Office Depot and shipped from there. Now I have to get Office Depot to file complaint because they are considered shipper. I even purchased the insurance on the item.

Seems very strange to me, that they could have it for so long before relizing that there is no bat in the box.
