UPS stealing from customers - for shame
Recently I shipped a box of gifts to a family member. When the shipment arrived, one electronics item was missing from the box. I reported it to UPS and their "investigation" reported that the box I shipped was not "regulation" and could have been damaged. My insurance claim is void. I have used all the major shippers a thousand times and never had someone steal out of the box. Shame on the person who could do such a thing. Worse yet that UPS could refuse to acknowledge the theft and try to blame it on the box. Shame on you.

UPS have the worst international service
I have a pair of prescription glasses sent for San Juan Puerto Rico to the Dominican Republic. This package was received at the UPS wharehouse on August 29 and today is Sept 3 and they have no idea when my glasses will be delivered. I will never use this company again. They are lost and have no idea how to deal with customs and other agencies in the country. I tried to get help with the United States UPS customers service and they blew me off stating ¨They will not call me overseas to let me know the reasons for the delay¨ This is the way they treat you after you pay for the service. Be advised and avoid my headaches!

Substitue driver can't find butt with both hands
Our regular driver was out most of the simmer and the sub driver didn't even try to find our house. We even had the phone number on the package and 'we had to call them' and pick it up at the store and one was sent back without even trying to locate us! It has been over a month and we still haven't received it because of the sending company's rules. But we would have had it a month ago if UPS hadn't sent it back! Our regular driver is back and we appreciate him very much!

UPS lost two packages on the same day!!
I ordered two different products from two different companies, and it just so happened that they would be arriving via UPS on the same day. Yesterday (September 4, 2008). So I waited around... I needed to have at least my school text book which I paid over 75 dollars to get in two days. I go out to eat, and come home and there is nothing on my door. I check the status online, and it said it was delivered to the front office and a woman by the name of WENDY had checked it in. I go to the office, only to find that they had no record of the package (they keep track of the tracking number). AND there was no such person as WENDY at the office. I know that my address and such was correct. And I've used UPS before and no problems occurred then. I cannot talk to a single person to SAVE MY LIFE. UGH!!

United parcel service/staples charge for insurance and will not pay
staples took a box over their counter, united parcel service, their partner, destroyed it, refused to payout for the damage they have done because the recipient simply threw it out. THEY AGREE THAT THE DELIVERY DRIVER TOLD THEM THE BOX WAS DESTROYED, THEY AGREE THAT THERE WAS A A 3RD WITNESS FOR THE CLAIM BUT REFUSE TO PAY. DO NOT BUY THEIR INSURANCE I BELIEVE THEY ARE LIARS AND THEIVES. Go somewhere else. I had a similar situation many years ago when they kept on taking the info for a claim down and shuttled me from 1 department to another and eventually I gave up with the claim because it was too difficult to get a straight answer from this company. Fed ex charges less, as does DHL[ I have heard from sources], Fed ex clearly charged me less on my last ground service package.

By way of explanation...
This is a letter that I had to write to a client that kept insisting that there must be cheaper delivery to his address; Good day, Mr. Lxxxxs. I would ask you to look at the feedback that we have managed to keep in good stead all of these years. It is because we really try to make sure that everyone is totally satisfied. I must point out that you have repeatedly asked for extra consideration on shipping, which we simply will not do. In fact, I would be remiss not to remind you that, in the ad, we refuse to deal outside the USA. This incident has a few calling for an end to any requests like this at all. In our area, and for some reason especially with us, UPS and Fed-Ex both have an abysmal record for trashing high-dollar and often very rare music stuff; i.e., tubes, amps, processors and the absolute worst, when they delivered a 1967 Gibson SG to San Francisco and ruined it (the guitar had survived almost 3 decades of being utilized by some top talent). This guitar was in it's proper hard case, within a wooden frame and double boxed, and they still managed to trash it as if it were nothing more than a box of pencils. The Samsonite gorilla would have gotten out of the business after seeing what these untouchable, effete teamster "pros" can do to our prized treasures. On another occasion, they did the same to a Gibson ES 175. Apparently, they consider a "fragile" designation stamp to be a challenge. Further, if you have ever tried to make one of these organized-crime backed organizations make good on the "insurance" that they foist upon one, you will know as well as we that you have wasted your money on the insurance and time on the pursuit. It is a definite "do not do" type of situation, and we are not anywhere near alone in our misery; all complain, some acquiesce. I cannot know your reasons for wanting this particular pickup. I have offered to let you out of this and we both part with no harm, no foul. Yes, it does seem like a lot of money to ship, but we are not the USPS and we do know that, unlike the 'private' delivery companies, they show pride in their accountability, not sneering mockery that one would be so *** as to trust them in the first place. Checking the very convoluted and circuitous UPS website, the best rate I get is over $80, with the same pain-in-the-patoot system and results coming from their "competitor" FedEx. We just do not do DHL. Oy. So, this brings me to my very final point after putting all of this time and effort into satisfying your inquiry; do we, a) both file for a mutual agreement not to complete this purchase, or b) follow through. We need you to be nothing short of completely satisfied. Your call.

UPS SUCKS
UPS has consistently delivered packages to wrong address. This has happened 3 times within the last week. In addition to this once we finally get our package from our neighbor due to it being sent to the wrong address, the package is badly damaged. Lastly, when we tried to reach UPS to file a complaint the Customer Service Representative insisted that we have to have a Tracking Number in order to file a complaint. After giving him the tracking number I continued to explain to him the incompetency of the delivery driver and although I did so in a professional polite manner, the representative hung up on me! UPS SUCKS!

UPS IS THE WORST DELIVERY SERVICE
I live in Brooklyn - is you are not *** during working hours - how many people are - then good luck getting your package - I have spent hours on the phone trying to arrange pickup - they tell you that you cannot go though the depot after 6 then after several phone calls they "allow" you to go. The depot is far away - I go and the package is not there. Then the staff is abusive and tells me that my package is still on the truck and I was *** to come at that time - but I came at the time I was told to come. They will not redeliver to another location - they argue and spout bureaucratic nonsense. I will not order from any company that uses UPS. Friday night I stood on crutches for an hour only to be told that the package was still on the truck - I had requested on Thursday that the package be removed from the truck - 2 other UPS call assured me that the package was there waiting for me. IT IS UNBELIEVABLE THAT ANY COMPANY CONTINUES TO USE SUCH A TERRIBLE, CONSUMER UNFRIENDLY COMPANY TO DELIVER PACKAGES. THE same woman who was rude, abusive and lazy last September is still the supervisor and is still rude abusive and lazy a year later. That says a lot. I told them to return the package - their website says that I made another request to pick it up at their depot.

UPS can't find address, card too late
I just recieved my card today telling me that UPS doesn't know where I live. B/S. They have delivered to me several times before. Now since I am a hardworking person, who works past 7 pm, I will not be able to pick up my package, which by the way is luggage, until AFTER my vacation. FED Ex has no problem finding me. Guess that is the difference between someone who gets paid by the hour, and someone who gets paid by the package. But, anyway, now my wife and I get to go out and buy luggage for our trip, even though we have luggage waiting on us at a location that most banks have better hours.

UPS threw my family pictures away
I recently sent a package to my aunt via UPS containing irreplaceable childhood vacation pictures in a handmade scrapbook along with several other miscellaneous items. I checked the status of the package on the date it was set to be delivered and the update online said that the package was missed at the terminal. The following day when I looked online it said the package was rejected by the recipient. I contacted my aunt and she confirmed that she did not reject the package. I then called UPS and was told that the package had been damaged and it was being returned to me. I asked it I could intercept and have it sent on even if the package had been damaged because most of the items were wrapped individually in plastic, so they should be fine. I was instructed to call the damaged items department and I was then informed that the entire package had been discarded. They said that one of the items in the package leaked and all the items in the package were destroyed. There is no way all the items would have been damaged beyond repair since they were clothes and pictures and plastic wrapped. I was given a claim form to fill out, which I did and the total of the items in the package totaled just under $ 500 which did not include the irreplaceable pictures that were lost. I received a call from UPS and was told that since I did not purchase the optional insurance, they would only be able to pay my claim up to $ 100. I understand that I did not purchase the insurance, but find it hard to believe that there policy is to discard personal property without the courtesy of a phone call. The terminal was very close to my aunts’ house and she would have been more than willing to pick the package up, but again, I was not given the option. Please help me!!!

UPS said they can not find Sloane Street in London
UPS said that they could not deliver a parcel because they could not find Sloane Street in London. They asked for directions, even though I had provided them with full details, including postcode and they had delivered to the same address on multiple occasions in the past (always with a delay ofcourse!). I was asked to give directions from central London! Even though as they explained, they did not know ehere the driver would be coming from, so in their words "we have to shope for the best" !!! This is totally unacceptable. Sloane Street is one of the most well known streets in London. Surely they must have maps as well that they can use. I wonder whether they know where Oxford Street is!

Verified Reviewer | Los Angeles, CaliforniaUPS Delivering Wine
UPS Tracking 925680****04 Attempted Deliver Case of Wine ... day after day they deliver at 12-1PM ... no one home ~ would not accept neighbors signing or people working on the property. Caused wine to sit in 100 degree temps on a truck for 2 days. Refused to deliver later in the day ... why not? Spent 3 hours on the phone with UPS. Then they wanted me to drive over 30 miles to pick it up. They really do not care ... what is amazing they will deliver amazon books from 4-7PM to our neighborhood, but wine can only come when no one is home.

UPS Stole an iPod Touch (delivered empty package).
I sent a friend's brand new iPod to him and he received an envelope that had been cut open, sans iPod. UPS "investigative team" came and picked up the envelope for investigation. That was a week ago and we haven't heard from them since. It was a $300 item mistakenly insured for $250. So now we have to enter the UPS phone menu jungle to try and get some of his money back. It's gonna be a long couple of weeks. This is the second time this has happened to him. Last time, they took a laptop. If your time and packages are valuable to you, do yourself a favor and avoid UPS.

UPS says I refused the shipment I shipped
I purchased a rug from Target, which was shipped to my home via UPS. I received it Thursday. I decided to return it. When driver picked it up Friday, he input that I refused the shipment. Now they are trying to return it to me instead of sending to Target in Ohio. After speaking to 7 people, including 2 supervisors, with numerous assurances that it will be sent to Ohio, it's still in Houston and they're still trying to return to me. What's worse, they're sending to my office. I'm calling the corporate VP tomorrow!

UPS AND THEIR SECRET BACKYARD DOCK
I ordered some things from a nursery... 3 trees... I get delivery here all the time by UPS and often they screw it up. This time, the *** couldnt find my address. No calls for directions from him or anything! I called the office 3 TIMES and gave directions.. Still a no show. Last call to them they said they would re schedule delivery on Monday.. that waould 4 days from the supposed delivery date. These are LIVE trees! and cannot be in a box that long. I told them to foget it, I would pick them up myself. I paid 50.00 in shipping charges and then have to pick them up myself? Well, the next day I drove out to get my trees... This is in Sallisaw Oklahoma. What do I find? Locked doors. So I walked around to the back loading dock. No one. I started calling out hello!! Finally I found a guy hid out in a small building. He took my shipping statement and went to find my parcel. You wont believe what we found there at the Sallisaw UPS Depot. There were packages strewn everywhere around laying in the dirt, tossed under a picnic table and even out in the parking area (gravel and dirt in behind the UPS depot where they load trucks.) I picked a couple of them up, and they were full, taped, and addresses on them for shipping. And here they were tossed in the dirt, gravel and hot sun, just laying out there. Anyone could just walk off with them. Not stacked up, not in a neat pile... I'm saying it looked like they just threw them out and left them lay where they landed. No wonder UPS is always losing packages for people!! Its probably stuck under a bumper or a wild dog drug if off somewhere. I couldn't believe it! These people need put out of business and they have lost me as a long time customer. I have always shipped UPS and I do alot of shipping with our business. No more! S. Gardner

Hubby ordered a cricut expression for a belated 40th birthday present on March 14th. Arrived in WV on March 19th on its way to Fredericksburg, VA (one state over) it has yet to arrived it is now March 30.
It would\'ve been easier to drive and pick it up in WV. Oh yeah, was told by Provocraft, that if I didn\'t receive it by the 3rd of April to call them and they will reissue the set send it by UPS. (as this happens often that is why the second time they send it out UPS.
HELLO...wouldn\'t it be wise to just send it out UPS or FEDEX the first time and not lose merchandise and money..... Whatever.....
