Package delivery

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I am disabled and need packages delivered to my front porch or beside garage door. That's how the deliveries were for years. Now I never know where. My driveway splits; 450' to porch or garage door, and about 550' to rear of house. Drivers never leave packages in the same place twice. Last time they tied it up on a Bush 15' off the side of driveway, only 125' from garage door, but not visible from that driveway. I went down split driveway at 9:15 pm and fount it. Before that it was in mailbox, next in weeds 50' from street, then on ground where driveway splits, rarely at garage door, more rarely on porch. On last delivery, my son and I made three trips searching driveway out to the street before finding it tied in Bush. And last, I tried several times to call UPS about issue &;;;;;;; never succeeded. I called today and got a human who put me on hold for about 40 minutes and didn't come back to the phone. What makes this worse, is that all of my family was at home all day. Had driver rang the doorbell, I would have had my package at 11:40 am instead of 9:15 that night, 91½ hours later! So, your customer service needs me to come there and actually make it work because your employees have failed. Have a non-UPS person call your publicly listed customer service number without knowing which option to choose and just follow your phone prompts, and ask for a customer service rep. Don't know what your customer service does, but I'll bet most aren't actually providing service to a live customer, unless it's a big customer who has a direct number. There's more to say, but my finger is tired. In recent years, I've been very disappointed in UPS,s lack of LIVE customer service reps who actually ANSWER THE PHONE. Instead your customers waste time listening to various machines, choosing options. Usually the wrong choice or your system hangs up. Then it starts over again.

Difference in locations.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I've used two locations in the Salt Lake Area, One on 4500 So and 900 east, which is horrible, Every time I've gone in there I've left mad. Rude condescending tellers, No safety precautions, and what ever else if there were less than one star that's what they would get, On the other hand...The location on Murray Holladay road and Highland drive is the opposite. Super friendly staff, impressive safety precautions, and I never leave feeling annoyed. I give them 5 stars easily.

User's recommendation: Avoid the 4500 South location, Use theHighland drive location. You will be so glad you did.

Don't expect good service every time

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

For about a year, when ordering from Amazon, the packages may or may not show up at my door. I have given explicit instructions but somehow they either end up in front of a vacant apartment next door (outside) or one of my neighbors has to bring it.

It had gotten a little better for a while, then sure enough, one landed at my doorstep and one was left next door.

Amazon responds by giving me a $5 credit, but when it happens over and over where is the improvement?

I really have no recourse since Amazon uses them exclusively near as I can tell. Just so tired of it!

So if you're tired of it use an Amazon locker delivery. Or don't use Amazon. It's obvious by this point neither UPS nor Amazon are going to change and yet you are repeatedly banging your head against the wall every time then wondering why you have a headache.

So "victim blaming" is your response? It's true it seems crazy, but why shouldn't I expect service to improve after so many complaints?

At this point I have accepted things will probably not improve, especially during holidays. Holding out hope that UPS will get a clue.

We've been left in the dust

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We've been a commercial UPS customer for about 20 years now. We spent over $100,000 with them last year. One would think that if we had an invoice being disputed someone would call before sending it to collections. That didn't happen. This was one of our air freight invoices that was partially paid because the bill didn't match the quote. We try to get someone to care, but no one does. It's just amazing to me that a long time customer who always pays on time gets treated like dirt.

A neighbor from waaay down the street had it and called UPS themselves!

Updated by user Sep 24, 2019

After several calls with UPS, I have found their representatives to be very kind and quick with helping me find out what exactly is going on. They were each very helpful.

In the end I had to contact Apple and have them give UPS the O.K. to start an investigation. However, in the meantime I was given the choice of refund or replacement. Whereas the whole situation has been extremely frustrating...

I am feeling taken care of and heard. I am thankful for the ease of the processes to making sure the customer (me) does not become disgruntled & impolite.

Very thankful. $700+ is far far far too much money to be losing for myself.

UPS claims to have attempted delivery of my item, but at the time of this claim... my father and brother were home. We had a plumber at the house. We had a few men working on our yard. There is no way it could’ve been mistaken whether or not someone was home and could sign for my package. At the time of this alleged delivery attempt, my even father remembers seeing a UPS truck across the street! However, no delivery was made ... and no invoice had been left! The following business day would be Monday, and I knew nobody was going to be home to sign for my package. However, but I did not receive an invoice, I couldn’t change the next delivery date! Come Monday, like I said— nobody is home —I receive an alert that my package has been delivered and signed for at my front door! The name used for the signature sounds made-up, but more importantly, NOBODY WAS HOME. Three phone calls later and I still don’t have an answer as to what happened to my package. I was told on my latest phone call I would be receiving one back within the hour. Three hours go by and still nothing! What the heck happened to my package?! Did the driver plan this? Did the driver know it was a brand new iPhone? How does a nonexistent person sign for MY package when NOBODY is even home!? I want answers, UPS! Where is my very expensive package!?!!?

UPS must be out of their minds. Today I shipped a 14 lb package. I had them put it in a box, add packing material and insure it for $3,000 ship it to Tennessee. $175 . Is that ridiculous or not ?

UPS CLAIMS DAMAGE INSPECTION (PACK&SHIP GUARANTEE)

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I brought a 2U 4 NODE HPC cluster into my local UPS Store and chose to have the store pack and ship under the pack&ship guarantee. We purchased additional insurance of $3,850.00 Packing and shipping was over $200.00 Item was received by buyer at destination damaged. Pictures were taken and I started the claims process. Rather I had the local UPS Store start the claims process. I was told the item needed to be picked up by UPS and undergo a damage inspection. The package was picked up by UPS from the purchasers address and shipped to Macon, GA to undergo the inspection. The package was refused by the damage inspection team and sent return to sender. The package then came all the way back to Ft. Worth to my local UPS Store where the local store then refused delivery and sent it back return to sender. My package has bounced around here and there …. the tracking information is now pages long and eacgh time I've called the UPS Claims & Damage Inspection Team to be told that I would get a call back within the hour as the matter was being escalated. 3 or 4 days now and still no call... Each time I call UPS to explain takes time out of my day and results in the same conclusion. Were looking into it and we'll get back with you. My buyer is quickly becoming frustrated - I chose the Pack & Ship Guarantee because of the guarantee.... Still no resolution, no refund of my $200+ in shipping and packing charges... and no claims status. Not to mention everything is sent to the UPS Store Dashboard making it difficult for me to get updates.

UPS Amazon Package pickup lies
Updated by user May 16, 2019

I pray to god that one day that someone finds the boss man that runs this crooked company and puts a bullet to your brain and brings this company to it's knees and I hope I will never have to deal with such a *** ING crooked company ever again But it's like I said this...

Updated by user May 12, 2019

UPS is going to rob the wrong MFer some time in the near future and that person is going to come after you and UPS will then take this issue more serious Most likely when it's to late when the law suit is just to much for you to handle But don't take my word for it UPS...

Updated by user May 11, 2019

Just an update with no thanks to UPS I had to call up amazon to get a new mailing label from them so that I can send my package back to amazon which I mailed out today Thank you Amazon At least someone knows how to do their job right And FUQ UPS you sorry POS

Updated by user May 10, 2019

Original review May 10, 2019

I have a return that was supposed to be picked up today for a return to amazon and I am always home since I live with disability
After sitting at home all day twiddling my thumbs waiting on this UPS driver to pick up my package
Also before I go any further I have DVR CCTV Video surveillance at my front and back door So I think I would know when someone came knocking at my door I would be able to see them before I even answered the door since it is connected to a TV monitor
I even have a magnetic sign I put on my door to let them know to knock loud on my door Not that I really need the sign there because I would know since I can see outside my door
So at about 6pm I go to my door to to get my sign off the door since no one showed up and I called UPS at 6:34pm to ask about the package pickup and they said the UPS driver made an attempt to pickup at 2:31pm Which I already know that is a bunch of BS and even if they did make an attempt they at least were supposed to leave a return shipping label at my door "which was not" But I already knew it wasn't there since I already know they didn't show up in the first place UPS lies So on the phone the guy tells me that someone will be calling me back on this issue within the hour and to remind you that it was 6:34pm when I was told that ( Sarcastic HA HA ) Here it is hours later no call What a FUQING JOKE Not only do the UPS drivers lie but support fills their customers full of *** just to calm them down
UPS ? Why do you feel you have to lie when people already know the truth before we even speak to you This has been going on for years that I have been seeing people making complaints and showing there video surveillance videos where one guy recorded the driver just sitting on the street corner for a few mins not even a block from the mans house just to make a u-turn without even making an attempt to deliver the mans package when he was sitting right there watching and recording the whole thing and then he gets a message saying there was a delivery attempt made where no one was home WTF ! ? So what I am saying here is that I am not the only one that is having this happen WHY UPS ? WHY ? Enough with the lies UPS needs a perma fix Fire the drivers that do this
Now thinking about it , Shouldn't I have received an email letting me know of a delivery attempt if there was one ( I didn't )

The worst

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Jan 30, 2019

After writing review I was contacted by UPS offering to delivery after 7:30PM. They add that there was a GST charge and that was why they could not deliver to gate security.

So that is an understandable reason why the delivery was abandoned twice but does not account for 2 of the customer service calls not mentioning that fact. Some communication between departments seems off here.

Happy not to have to pay to delivery my stuff to myself but still unhappy I did not get strait answers when I tried to troubleshoot and being assured of things that turned out to be false. Frustrating.

Original review Jan 30, 2019
They used to deliver to the security gate at my service apartment but 2 days ago they drove all the way to my flat but did not leave the my international packages with the gate security. Regular packages no signature required. I phoned the customer service and specifically instructed them to leave at gate security as I was working and could not wait around for 12 hours waiting for a delivery. Was ASSURED this would happen next day, no problem. Well, no delivery the next day. I called again. New person explained that they can not leave packages with gate security. I informed them that they have always done so in the past. Service person said delivery would be the next day after 7PM. I checked from work at 5PM and they tried to delivery already, would not leave it with the gate security despite my instructions and once again drove it all the way back to Changi. I called again and was told my only recourse was to pick it up myself at Changi. So, on my time and at my expense I have to delivery my packages to myself. UPS, the worst.

Inept driver, lousy customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Order from Amazon, due to arrive 1/15. UPS claims package was delivered with note "Met Customer Man." No package was delivered as no one was home at the time claimed. Called UPS late 1/15. Said they elevated to "level 2", would call me at 11 am on 11/16 and driver would return to scene to investigate. No call, no contact from UPS on 1/16. Called them very very late, asked what was done. Answer was as far as they could tell nothing was done and they couldn't tell me why I wasn't called. Filed online claim with UPS late on 1/16. Not to get money back as Amazon refunded it, but to understand how the driver could have given my package away to some unknown person. Received voicemail from UPS on 11/17, said claim was being closed because Amazon doesn't allow their customers to make claims, only Amazon can make claims. Dumbfounded, I called UPS back at the number they left if I had further questions. I told them my compliant was not with Amazon, they gave me my money back. My concern was their driver gave away my package. Was basically told it is policy to not investigate claims for Amazon deliveries unless Amazon starts the claim. Still dumbfounded, I asked, it's an issue with your driver, not Amazon, are you really going to do nothing and close the claim. Answer, incredibly, was yes.
