Ups said it would only cost me $35.51 to send my package to Texas. After sending it i am then told that i would have to pay another $33.75 brokerage fees for my parcel to reach its final destination. Why was i not informed of this before when i was asking for the cost of delivery? Now they have my package hostage and i am forced to pay them more. After getting the runaround for the last two days with no results i just came to the conclusion that i will never use ups ever again. The service sucks.
UPS in Livingston, New Jersey - Incompetent, rude and unreliable service.
on july 20th, i sent 5 envelopes with pictures, 3 to fl. and 2 to the bronx, n.y. after 7 days and numerous calls to u.p.s. and absolutely no help whatsoever, only 2 envelopes arrived on the 27th. since these were insured, i want a refund for the remaining 3.envelopes of pictures. u.p.s. refuses to honor the insurance as of today. i have sent dozens of packages via u.p.s. over thee past 2 years,about 12 in the past two weeks alone. it is obvious that i will never under any conditions , use incompetent ,u.p.s. ever agan ! if they don't refund my money, i will take u.p.s. to court with my proof .
UPS delivery person didn't knock or ring bell. Only put sticker on window and hurriedly left. Called UPS and was assured that the driver would alert me at next scheduled delivery. Posted note asking that driver ring bell and stayed home all day waiting for delivery. Driver never bothered to show up. Again called UPS and was given every excuse imaginable. Informed this person that I was home all day and did not leave. Their driver never came. Finally made arrangements to pick package up myself. 20 miles round trip, heavy traffic, and an hour and a half later, I have my package. Will avoid UPS in the future if at all possible.
UPS, c'mon you can do better than this.
Normally I have a lot of patience with freight companies, not because I am on their team, but because Most of the people that work for these companies are regular citizens like you and me, and they are trying their best. I have to say tho, that UPS is an unfair company with really questionable ethics. Recently I purchased a package from Amazon.com. Actually, it was at the beginning of this month, so it's been about 3 weeks. The package was scheduled to be delivered 07/21. Everyday since 07/21, they have been changing the scheduled delivery date WITHOUT notifying me as to why. It is now the 27th, and I called them directly asking what the friggen deal was. The operator then tells m e they don't know, and that they don't have the number to the DC where it's at. Basically, their customer service department is this detached entity that is there to filter customer complaints and make the company appear to care. The lady then requests I contact Amazon to file a case. Why is it only the sender can file a case? Is UPS not advanced enough to work on their customer satisfaction policy? Do they not make enough money? Anyway, I called amazon and they said UPS probably either lost the package or ..whatever.., which was also very annoying. What makes this especially rude is that when the tables are turned, UPS WILL NOT hold your package longer than they have to. You can never request they hold your package for an extra day to allow you to pick it up, and if something happens that is their fault, they are most definitely capable of shipping a package back to the sender without listening to a word you say. If they do make a mistake and ship the package back, they don't compensate you for their error. It's a hot mess. Oh, but they can lose your package and not notify you? Pssh, that's both unfair and incompetent. I would have been able to empathize with the situation more had UPS contacted me directly and explained the issue to me, rather than just update the website and assume I visit it. It's like, come on now, be a proper company. Anyway, Amazon is sipping a new package to compensate for this error... and yes, they're shipping it via UPS.
UPS in Manchester, England - The driver delivered to the wrong address and lied
UPS argghhhh !!! Where does one even start , they delivered to the wrong address despite it being right on their system next to the tracking number and in the UK you can get the exact address from the postcode anyway . .so NO EXCUSE , then rude unhelpful couldn't care less that they had given my credit card that was in the package to an UNKNOWN stranger at the wrong address, even the address they said they delivered to the people have no knowledge of a UPS delivery .. and i believ them actually because i could tell the guy was simply lying ....they tried to actually claim that somehow the envelope address was 'mysteriously' changed ...and when i got really irate put me on hold for 20 minutes and then said they had to deal with it tomorrow ,it was 5pm they are supposed to open till 8pm ...a vile disgusting company with no ethics and no customer service or accountability
UPS Redlines Deliveries and Pickups
UPS refuses to enter my building to deliver or pickup. They claim it is a safety issue and not discrimination or racist. I lived in NYC all my life and never had to go outside to pick up my own packages. It wasn't until I moved to Staten Island (which has the lowest crime rate of all the boroughs)in the projects did I experience this. I complained to Consumer Affairs and they said more folks had to complain. I'm going to court as this must be illegal. UPS says they are using Jersey policy for Staten Island.
UPS is lazy... Using The online tracker I saw that my package was in the town next to mine on Friday, so they switched the Delivery date to a day early. I have waited all day because it was to be delivered by today. I got back onto the tracker and Now at 4pm they change it back to tomorrow, which would be understandable if it were more than one town over, NOT to mention they supposedly deliver until 7pm.... They can't get my package one town over in 3 hours? Too bad they can't figure out what they're doing.
Don't Use UPS- deliveries not on-time
I have waited for 3 days for a package to be delivered from UPS and am still waiting. My package apparently has been on the truck for delivery for the last 3 "business" days (which to UPS does not include weekend days). I have called their 800 number and local shipping yard inquiring about my package, but all they can tell me is that it is on a truck. They are doing nothing to remedy this "late" delivery except say "I'm sorry that you have had to take time off of work" or "I understand your complaint" and tell me that the driver should deliver the package today by "end of day". Do NOT use UPS! FedEx delivers on time- or ahead of time.
Damaged shipment UPS
UPS delivered a package today with obvious damage to the shipping container. Torn open and TAPED back..The fiberglass constructed item inside was broken Shattered..What was one piece now is two. If they do that much damage to a package why not suck it up and admit damage..Not try to deliver damaged goods.. UPS used to give great service now It's seems they destroy most everything they ship come on UPS get your act together Of course I refused the package..And notified the shipping company.. Now I guess the ball in in their court.. I'll keep you posted...
UPS refused to deliver to the correct address
I purchased a keyboard on eBay. I am a software and web developer and tend to have weekend-heavy workloads, and was thrilled to have my keyboard scheduled to arrive on friday. I paid with paypal, and all was well. The next day when the shipping info came, the seller had accidentally shipped to the wrong address - somehow they saw my paypal confirmed address, which is not the address i listed as my shipping address in the order, which i double checked and he confirmed as well. an aside - paypal refuses to allow me to change my confirmed address unless i put in a completely new bank account number. I have had the same acct number since i was ~10 years old, and originally registered for paypal and confirmed my address in high school. after moving out and getting married, they wont let me update the address even though i changed the account info with the bank. I dont want to change my account, as this is now my and my wife's shared account. just another rant... So I contacted the shipper, as I cannot have any packages go to my parents home address - my mother, who suffers from severe psychological and antisocial problems and passionately hates my wife and I, trashes any mail that comes to the house instead of forwarding it on to me. Shipper says no problem, he had already dropped the package off but will call UPS and do a delivery intercept/change of address. UPS' policy is that only the shipper can do this until the first delivery attempt is made - thats *** but OK. He responds to me saying that because he bought the postage through paypal, UPS refuses to allow him to change the delivery but he can go ahead and cancel the shipment and it will be returned to him, and he will reship. Ok this is getting to be a pain, but I agree and he cancels it, I get a confirmation from UPS that it has been cancelled via email. Fast forward to friday, I check the shipping info to see if it has made its way back to him yet, and am shocked to see it listed as out for delivery to my mom's house! I double check to see that the shipment was cancelled, it was, so i frantically contact the seller. He says he will call UPS to take care of it. He calls, and is told that since he bought the UPS label through paypal, only a paypal employee can do a delivery intercept, and he has to call paypal. wonderful. He says he will call paypal, and meanwhile I call UPS. I speak to a rep after foiling the phone system(just keep saying 'no' when it asks for a tracking number until it forwards you) and carefully and politely explain my situation. I get standard form answers, and told that they will make a delivery attempt and to call back after it happens. I reiterate that once delivered, it will be thrown away and I need to get it before delivery. They refuse, and tell me to contact the shipper. I explain that the shipper has tried repeatedly and been refused. She says I cant do anything about it until they attempt delivery. I even requested that maybe she could give instructions to the driver to only deliver it if someone answers the door and not leave it on the porch, in case she isnt home, but she says that only the shipper can request that as well. I got angry and asked to speak to her supervisor, who gave me the same unhelpful answers. Getting off the phone I hear from the seller, who says paypal doesnt handle shipping and has never even heard of such nonsense before. We both call UPS back, and are both told that only a Paypal employee can change the shipment, despite telling them that paypal doesnt do that. Now im upset, ive been looking forward to this keyboard all week (an IBM model M) and now it looks like its lost forever. I dispatch my friend (im at work) to wait for the UPS man and see if he can intercept the driver before he makes it to the door. He goes, but has to leave to pick up his dad at the airport before it gets delivered. I get off work at 5, notice that it was delivered at 5:24, and jump in the car with my wife to race down there and see if it happens to be on the porch (UPS info says "left on porch"). We get there at about 6:00, see nothing on the porch, and no answer at the door. The keyboard is gone, but at least I can change the shipping info now =) I will never use UPS again nor will I purchase from any business or seller that uses UPS. their complete lack of customer service, flexibility, or common sense and logic which has resulted in me losing the item that I paid for and paid to have shipped using their service is infuriating and unacceptable.
