UPS is lazy... Using The online tracker I saw that my package was in the town next to mine on Friday, so they switched the Delivery date to a day early. I have waited all day because it was to be delivered by today. I got back onto the tracker and Now at 4pm they change it back to tomorrow, which would be understandable if it were more than one town over, NOT to mention they supposedly deliver until 7pm.... They can't get my package one town over in 3 hours? Too bad they can't figure out what they're doing.
Don't Use UPS- deliveries not on-time
I have waited for 3 days for a package to be delivered from UPS and am still waiting. My package apparently has been on the truck for delivery for the last 3 "business" days (which to UPS does not include weekend days). I have called their 800 number and local shipping yard inquiring about my package, but all they can tell me is that it is on a truck. They are doing nothing to remedy this "late" delivery except say "I'm sorry that you have had to take time off of work" or "I understand your complaint" and tell me that the driver should deliver the package today by "end of day". Do NOT use UPS! FedEx delivers on time- or ahead of time.
Damaged shipment UPS
UPS delivered a package today with obvious damage to the shipping container. Torn open and TAPED back..The fiberglass constructed item inside was broken Shattered..What was one piece now is two. If they do that much damage to a package why not suck it up and admit damage..Not try to deliver damaged goods.. UPS used to give great service now It's seems they destroy most everything they ship come on UPS get your act together Of course I refused the package..And notified the shipping company.. Now I guess the ball in in their court.. I'll keep you posted...
UPS refused to deliver to the correct address
I purchased a keyboard on eBay. I am a software and web developer and tend to have weekend-heavy workloads, and was thrilled to have my keyboard scheduled to arrive on friday. I paid with paypal, and all was well. The next day when the shipping info came, the seller had accidentally shipped to the wrong address - somehow they saw my paypal confirmed address, which is not the address i listed as my shipping address in the order, which i double checked and he confirmed as well. an aside - paypal refuses to allow me to change my confirmed address unless i put in a completely new bank account number. I have had the same acct number since i was ~10 years old, and originally registered for paypal and confirmed my address in high school. after moving out and getting married, they wont let me update the address even though i changed the account info with the bank. I dont want to change my account, as this is now my and my wife's shared account. just another rant... So I contacted the shipper, as I cannot have any packages go to my parents home address - my mother, who suffers from severe psychological and antisocial problems and passionately hates my wife and I, trashes any mail that comes to the house instead of forwarding it on to me. Shipper says no problem, he had already dropped the package off but will call UPS and do a delivery intercept/change of address. UPS' policy is that only the shipper can do this until the first delivery attempt is made - thats *** but OK. He responds to me saying that because he bought the postage through paypal, UPS refuses to allow him to change the delivery but he can go ahead and cancel the shipment and it will be returned to him, and he will reship. Ok this is getting to be a pain, but I agree and he cancels it, I get a confirmation from UPS that it has been cancelled via email. Fast forward to friday, I check the shipping info to see if it has made its way back to him yet, and am shocked to see it listed as out for delivery to my mom's house! I double check to see that the shipment was cancelled, it was, so i frantically contact the seller. He says he will call UPS to take care of it. He calls, and is told that since he bought the UPS label through paypal, only a paypal employee can do a delivery intercept, and he has to call paypal. wonderful. He says he will call paypal, and meanwhile I call UPS. I speak to a rep after foiling the phone system(just keep saying 'no' when it asks for a tracking number until it forwards you) and carefully and politely explain my situation. I get standard form answers, and told that they will make a delivery attempt and to call back after it happens. I reiterate that once delivered, it will be thrown away and I need to get it before delivery. They refuse, and tell me to contact the shipper. I explain that the shipper has tried repeatedly and been refused. She says I cant do anything about it until they attempt delivery. I even requested that maybe she could give instructions to the driver to only deliver it if someone answers the door and not leave it on the porch, in case she isnt home, but she says that only the shipper can request that as well. I got angry and asked to speak to her supervisor, who gave me the same unhelpful answers. Getting off the phone I hear from the seller, who says paypal doesnt handle shipping and has never even heard of such nonsense before. We both call UPS back, and are both told that only a Paypal employee can change the shipment, despite telling them that paypal doesnt do that. Now im upset, ive been looking forward to this keyboard all week (an IBM model M) and now it looks like its lost forever. I dispatch my friend (im at work) to wait for the UPS man and see if he can intercept the driver before he makes it to the door. He goes, but has to leave to pick up his dad at the airport before it gets delivered. I get off work at 5, notice that it was delivered at 5:24, and jump in the car with my wife to race down there and see if it happens to be on the porch (UPS info says "left on porch"). We get there at about 6:00, see nothing on the porch, and no answer at the door. The keyboard is gone, but at least I can change the shipping info now =) I will never use UPS again nor will I purchase from any business or seller that uses UPS. their complete lack of customer service, flexibility, or common sense and logic which has resulted in me losing the item that I paid for and paid to have shipped using their service is infuriating and unacceptable.
ups delivery service has the worst service. they need to obtain a signature for a delivery, leave a note they will try again tomorrow after 5pm. I leave work at two o'clock, lose three hours pay, and think that i have enough time to be available for the delivery. i arrive home at 2:25 and there is a note on the door that they have already been there. when i call the customer service number they told me that that time is just a window. awfully big window from 2 pm to 5 pm. then their excuse was it was a different driver that day. their solution...i drive 70 miles round trip to their nearest pick up center to pick up my package. i paid $15. to have this letter sent ups. never again. i will be at work monday, the next delivery date, so it will be returned to the sender. I will now have to make arrangements with the sender ( a large corporation) to try to resend thru the post office. #*($(#
UPS in New York, New York - Lazy u.p.s. driver lied about ringing bell
Prior to the 8th of July, I had 2 deliveries made, which driver never rang bell and just left pk in hallway, values $1000.00, didn't even get signature. Today, I was here all day, again never rang bell, just posted sticker on door (entrance) I live on the 4th fl. As he left, my grand daughter walked in, gave me the note, I called U.P.S n was told driver would come back. Informed them about complaint; two minutes later, get a call driver wasn't coming back. pk#932014362749, I need this asap.m.a.h
I'm quite unsatisfied with UPS signature requried delivery
I am quite angry about the UPS policy about the signature required delivery.Usually we require a signature because the package is very important, and needed to be delivered to the correct person hand to hand. But UPS never use a phone call to connect with the correct person~!and they even don't give a notice when the package will arrive~!I have been out of work specially waiting in my house for my package delivery for two whole days~!Because it is very important and expensive to me,the sender required my signature. The UPS driver has come twice, but each time he just knocked the door, didn't hear the answering and left. Can you hear the sound of someone knocking the door of a big house when you live on the third floor? The guys even didn't ring the bell just on the side of the door ~! Why they are so carefree?~! Can you UPS find me a better way to connect with me directly to make sure the package be sent to me on time and hand to hand? The work is too formal to think about the possibility that the way you work doesn't work. Can you image that house is different from apartment? How tiny the sound is to the big house~! Could you please change your way of working at least use a phone call?
Dear UPS, When I was at my Son's house last, he showed me how to order items in my internet shopping cart. I was so excited because I get very exhausted pushing the shopping carts at the Dollar General store in town. As you can guess a few days later the UPS truck...
UPS and The UPS Store
I spent $67 to ship a custom-crated, well padded framed print from California to New York. Over half of the weight (and shipping cost) was the 5/8" plywood and 2x2 wood framing I used to protect the contents from damage, as these idiots don't give a *** about what it is they are shipping, just getting a paycheck at the end of the week. My package showed up in NYC with the glass contents broken in a thousand pieces, and the limited edition framed print scratched & destroyed by the broken glass. If you use the words "FRAGILE" or "GLASS", it is guaranteed that the *** dock workers that handle your package will give it an extra hard toss, drop, kick or whatever to destroy the contents. I am absolutely certain of this! Standard handling does not produce the kind of damage that was discovered on the other end, despite the time, effort & expense by me to ensure my solid wood shipping crate was tight & bubble-wrapped to the extent that there was absolutely no movement of the contents inside. THEY DESTROYED IT, ON PURPOSE! When I tried to file a complaint I was transferred to idiots in the Philippines who wasted a half hour of my time and two weeks later when I called to check status of my claim they had no record of it, so I had to waste more time filing a claim again, which was ultimately denied because the broken glass had been thrown out and not saved for their "inspection". *** - and OUTSOURCING AMERICAN JOBS, to boot! (although the Americans that handled my package dont deserve to have a job!). Bottom line: ZERO DOLLARS refunded to me for damage. $67 paid to ship broken glass cross-country and destroy a $400 item! The UPS Store is also to blame, as once they get their money all you will hear is "you need to contact UPS for that". DON"T USE EITHER AS THEY COMPLETELY SUCK!!!
UPS lost my 74 year old mother's bday presents
UPS lost my 74 year old mother's birthday presents and could care less. I sent a package to my mom for her birthday. UPS said they delivered it but it's nowhere to be found". When I called them about it they not only didn't care but were indignant and told me it would be up to 8 days for them to investigate". Well 8 days later they admitted to losing the package and told me to send proof of everything in the box including pictures, receipts, etc, so I could receive my $100 insurance?. Now I've had to buy the presents again and jump through hoops to eventually get the insurance money:. Some of the presents I can't replace|. They were things I bought on vacation in the mountains,. The value is a lot more than $100?. I learned my lesson and I will never ship UPS again:. What a bunch of incompetent ***
