UPS 'Sucks'!!!!

UPS oh My God!! They do tell porkies don't they? Supposed to leave package in garage; he left a note saying it was LOCKED!! The 'dufter' had not bothered to turn the handle! Phoned them; said I'd get a call back within 60 Min's. - no call back! Phoned again; told no one had 'logged' my earlier call = NO CALL BACK!! Then told my package was on it's way to 'Frankfurt'; I live in Doncaster!! Then told I'd get it next day; but a Manager would phone me to arrange it. 'Manager' phoned and told me no guarantees for next day that ANOTHER manager would phone me after 8AM Satureday to let me know if they'd deliver before 12 that day. I have an apt., very important, at 10 am Saturday, so son has to get up early to wait for UPS which might not come anyway!! *** service but isn't it just typical of how consumerism is making US ALL NUTS!!

Why is it half the complaints on this site stem from people who obviously do not speak English as a primary language?

My guess is a communication issue between the whiners and UPS are responsible, not the actual UPS service.

UPS screws up again

I had ben tracking a package for days and all the tracking info said it would arrive Wednesday; said it was out for delivery. Wednesday came and went and no package. Called UPS and was basically told that the tracking info we all depend on is ***. Most of those scans aren't actual 'physical' scans of the package, but scans of the trailer the package is on and packages can fall out of the trailersI? I kid you not. Bottom line: I was informed by a UPS supervisor that my package is lost or stolen, and the last physical scan of it was in Chicago (I'm in WA). He told me a trace and claim could be filed the next morning. So, the next day I plug the old tracking info into UPS site and it says the thing is out for delivery again!. I called UPS and was assured the package was actually physically scanned and for sure it would arrive today. Guess what? It didn't. I have no idea how many times it's going to be reported as 'out for delivery' or how many clueless UPS agents I'll have to speak to to get this thing resolved, but as long as 'out for delivery' keeps showing up, I can't have it traced or initiate a claim process.

UPS wasted my whole day

I had to spend my whole day at home waiting for the UPS truck to come because they needed a signature. I think they should give you a time from that they are going to show up so you can do more important things then sit here and wait hoping every truck u hear is your delivery. People actually have their lives to live. They cant spend their whole day waiting for UPS to show up at 7pm. in this technological age i am sure they can work out some better delivery arrangements. Today i had to be calling folks to do my business while i sit at home for the ENTIRE day waiting. Seriously UPS you really need to be more customer oriented.

I agree both Fedex and UPS should be able to narrow down the time. I got a package at 6:30 pm after waiting all day. Have your neighbor sign for it - yeah right.

I live in an apartment complex and when we first got here, UPS delivered two packages directly to my door. Last month I waited all day for an overnight check from our mortgage closing, finally called the attorney who tracked down a tracking number for me and found out...

UPS made unauthorized charges to my credit card. When we contacted them they said that the shipper number was input incorrectly so they charged the wrong account. Now, they have my money and said it will be 3 to 5 business days to get it back! They can take...

Maybe someone else tryed to have you pay or there was a mix up on info when someone else paid for something, either credit card number or account number. Either way they did the best they could to fix it should they have drove to your house and gave you cash..... I'm sure you have never made a mistake...

Ups Account
I have a 1969 Cutlass convertible and needed to replace the driver's side door because of some rust. I found a good looking door in Dallas. Pictures over the web showed it to be in great shape. I bought it and paid $130 for UPS to ship it to Gainesville Florida....

Blame...the shipper obviously didn't pack your item well enough. I've shipped hundreds of pieces of framed art and never had any damage via UPS.

UPS (and all carriers frankly) require a package have enough packaging material to avoid the types of damage that you claim. That would require 2" MINIMUM packing on ALL sides of the item and all packages must be able to withstand a drop from up to four feet. A large portion of the shipping process is automated, machines, conveyors etc that is why directional arrows and fragile stickers are irrelevant.

Have your shipper file a claim and when they send the next door ask them to package it PROPERLY.

Good day.

They don't do anything logically. My fave is when they can't simply call a driver and ask him "hey dude, where'd you put the package." Insted they have to do an "investigation."

I've had drivers unable to read my address either. I wish I was kidding, but my address is 1000 East Johnson.

I've had stuff delivered to 2000 Johnson, 1000 West Johnson, 1000 Jackson, and my personal fave 984 Jackson (?????).

These are not bright people.

UPS is the worst option for shipping

A while back, UPS left a package clearly marked "XBOX 360" in front of my house, and they were surprised that I reported it missing when I got home at 9:30pm after working a 13 hour shift. The UPS driver was rude like he always is, and accused me of lying about the package not being there. Previously, he had complained to me, my friend that used to live with me, and my pet sitter every time I received a heavy package. Since then, they have required a signature for every delivery. This is a huge inconvenience since I work until 8pm, I can't be home for the deliveries. So I have to wait to get the shipping notice on my door, ask them to hold the package at UPS, and drive 30 minutes to the UPS location. If I have a day off work and wait at home for my package, the driver doesn't usually get to my house until between 6pm-7:30pm. Waiting at my house turns out to be a waste of my entire day AND night. UPS is a waste of time and I will be searching for a shopping website that uses only FedEx or USPS.

Once you have reported a package 'missing' after it's been delivered, UPS will put a signature required on any future deliveries. You obviously live in a bad neighborhood and the local crackheads are now not able to 'steal' your merch.

You should be thanking UPS, not complaining like a little beach.

U should change that comment above to "theres always a chance UPS wont break it and you will actually get your package! Its slim, but its a chance.

My Experience: 61 Shipments from stores/ebay etc.

thru UPS 29 of the packages damaged and breached and 17 of those the contents were completely destroyed. UPS Sux.

UPS isn't in the business of repairing items. They have offered you the minimum included DV for your package.

Which you agree you didn't even ask for.

If you had wanted to cover the full cost you should have requested the full 300 and paid for it. As it is 100 should be sufficient to repair your *** box then you and your son can get back to doing what you do best, nothing productive.
