UPS Rang buzzer for apartment and as soon as I answered he hung up - got in his track and left!

I've been waiting for a parcel delivery via UPS and finally today (after a week and $75 for shipping!) he rang my apartment buzzer and as soon as I answered he hung up! I raced out to the balcony to see what was going on and he was driving away. He didn't want to be bothered so he was taking the parcel back to the station hoping someone else would have the annoying delivery to make tomorrow. Annoying because it's a long elevator ride up to my apartment plus money to be collected on the parcel. Annoying for having paid so much for a service that is NOT there. UPS is horrid.

UPS NON SERVICE DELIVERY NIGERIA

Ups documents arrived in Lagos 3/8/12 ans scanned teusday 7/8/12 still not recieved and when you call the office there is NO ANSWER WHAT KINF OF INTERNATIONAL COMPANY IS THIS!!!!!!!!. THEY ALSO DENY THAT THE PARCEL HAS ARRIVED IN NIGERIA BUT YET IT REFLECTS ON THEIR OWN TRACKING WEBSITE. How does ups allow franchises that do not adhere to international service standards and this seems to be the same issue from many people in Lagos THANK GOODNESS FOR DHL ( THANKS RANDY YOU HAVE A GREAT TEAM MAYBE YOU COULD SPARE A FEW TO TRAIN UPS STAFF)

trying to do business to or from Nigeria is where you went wrong. Nigeria is one of the most corrupt and dishonest countries in the world.

parcels dissappear in their customs office all the time. I don't even allow my customers to send there anymore, even though I could make a lot of money off the shipments.

UPS lost $500 worth of stuff

We shipped clothes, shoes, and some cooking items to our new house couple of days before we moved. We shipped 2 x-large boxes and 1 suitcase to our new house. We recieved our items on the same day as the movers came and were unloading our stuff. Since the movers were unloading we were unable to open the boxes until couple of days after they left. We found that couple of expensive jeans and shirts, a steel cooking pot, and some spices which were imported form India. When the boxes came to our house we found though we shipped the items in x-large when the boxes came they were in size large and the tape was all crooked and messy, which means that somewhere the boxes were opened and sealed again. We put the items we were shipping in the boxes in front of his eyes. Since the man saw us put the items in the boxes he probaly took the items out himself and re-sealed the boxes. Since we weren't able to open the boxes and the suitcase until 3 days after they came (because the movers came the same day) UPS wouldn't honor the claim we moved for the lost items. (They only read your claim if it was made wihtin 48 hours of receiving date.) I wouldn't recommend UPS to anyone and won't ever ship stuff through them ever again. I will use USPS or FedEX from now on. At least though they charge more, they get the job done well.

UPS driver verbal abuse

Hi, we arranged for a shipping online, two parcels to be picked up from S.E. london. Parcels meant to be picked up Friday. I got two phone calls in quick sucession from the driver that I missed. Next thing the door buzzer rang, which I answered. WE live in a block of flats, when the door rings a camera switches on. There are two entrances to the building about 50 yards apart. When the driver rang the door I couldnt see him in the camera, so I told him it was the right place but wrong door, and where the other door was. Never heard from him again, even went down to front door looked up and down the street, no sign of him. Meanwhile the office rang, saying their driver was outside and cant get in, I told them what hapened, they contacted the driver, who returned, shouting that he was busy, and what the *** do I think it is. Summary I will never use UPS ever again, due to the fact that they employ *** bags, who think they can throw verbal abuse at people who pay money for a service.

UPS delivered to wrong address

UPS got the package all the way to my city then they delivered it to some buisness that was not my house, I know this because it had front desk listed on tracking info. Someone with a totally differnt name signed for it, and they will probably get a free ps3 out of it. That is if the driver didnt steal it, I think they know what companies will do the trace what ones wont. I have to wait atleast a week for a replacement, I just hope they can do it right this time. Their logistics can kiss my ***!

USPS beats UPS hands down for service cost and they even deliver!

On May 7, 2012, I shipped 18 boxes to my daughter who moved to Miami. One box by UPS because it contained more fragile items and the other 17 boxes via USPS. All boxes had Prepaid Pre-printed computer-generated shipping labels and bills of lading. All packages had the requisite plastic envelope to contain that label. The one UPS shipment required waiting in line at the Needham UPS store for more than 42 minutes to get a receipt. The line was out the door. Shipping 17 packages with USPS took about7 minutes in total. Two of the boxes reached my daughter in 2 days by USPS - faster than their standard and faster than what UPS was supposed to do. The remaining USPS boxes arrived within their shipping standard. The UPS-handled box got as far as Miami and then, per their tracking system, disappeared. I wasted over an hour with an Illiterate in their Manila call-center attempting file a lost package claim. That was May 11. On May 15, the box strangely returned to me minus the shipping label and instructions. UPS first told me that they would have to now charge me, 2nd fee, for returning this lost package back to me! The next day UPS itself shipped the package to my daughter. It was eventually delivered with three china items broken. Remember the point of using UPS was better service, in theory, and insurance. I called in an attempt to file a claim and in two telephone calls that went to Manila I was variously bounced around for over an hour until someone said that first I need to know the actual damage repair cost. On June 9, UPS followed up by billing me for now the second, and finally successful, shipment. So, in theory they wanted me to pay 3 times for the package they lost, broke, and delivered in a ridiculously long time period. Today, with all receipts in hand, I attempted to use http://UPS.com to enter the claim but neither the first nor the second tracking numbers were acceptable, as if the shipments never had existed. I called UPS and waited in *** and eventually spoke to a representative in Manila who refused to tell me how to file a claim, and refused to give me a number for the Claims department. Over a period of more than 2 hours on the telephone I was variously forwarded, put on hold, and dropped call, needing to restart. When I finally reached someone who understood English, she attempted to explain to me why I should have been billed for UPS sending me back my own misrouted package, Then she tried to tell me that it was unclear they could accept the claim. Finally she took the information telling me to expect a call back! I suspect that will be most unlikely. I repeat, USPS delivered every single package cheaper, faster, and in better condition than UPS. The one caveat is use on the on-line system to produce a computer-generated shipping label for USPS. Follow-up: So now its been two business days since I posted the earlier note. In that time I have been three times promised a call back. Attempted to reach the "Claims Dept." through a telephone auto-attendant that refuses to offer the remote chance that UPS even suffers aclaim. It does not accept "agent" representative" "damage" claim" or "human" Eventually, again you reach Manila - good luck. Finally in my third call of the day, after no less than three transfers I reached a "Todd" in Tampa who explained to me that the reason I could not enter or initiate a claim on the online system was because a claim had already been started- which was back in May when they lost the box for 2 weeks. The second tracking number which was the one used when they reattempted to ship, and attempted to charge me a second and even third time for making delivery of the box which had been pre-paid to start - that tracking number was also not eligible to be used to enter a claim. So they took my insurance premium and my delivery fee, but ... So he's explaining yet again that some 2-1/2 months from when I started the claims process now they are going to go out to Miami to my daughters apartment t examine the box which by now of course has been trashed. When I explain that they had told me I first needed to get the items repaired or replaced before I could submit the costs, he started to explain again [no doubt something bout how they could find more argument about not processing the claim] but the line went dead - it being on the thirds or fourth transfer. Since my telephone number is on all the tracking numbers and I have given it every single time I have called, you would think UPS would have the minimal intelligence to call me back? Don't even think about it!

Another person sent package back and UPS won't stop it

The packages sent from Florida to the wrong address in Tennessee.....just 2 houses up the street. A person/relative of theirs came to that house and called UPS and asked them to return them. UPS picked up packages and sent to hub for return to Florida. I called them and they first told me I called to have them sent back. When I told them I never called they said that it didn't matter it was too late. I explained there were medications involve, and even worse, safety issues due to domestic violence if they were sent back. Worse...... I was told that if I had called a few minutes earlier it might have made a difference.......after I was kept on hold 25 minutes waiting for the superviser!!!! Inaddition, it says on the tracking that UPS tried to ascertain the whereabouts of the named individual.....I live two houses down, am well known in the area. And there is a shipper's phone number on the package. What the *** did they do???? UPS NEVER AGAIN. And if something happens to the package or party involved you will be held liable. And will likely be sued anyway!

oh gee all those mean words, waaah...

honey, you are most definitely not any type of attorney. the only place you've worked in a courthouse is under a judge's robes, assuming you found a judge desperate enough.

please do try to form a torte on this matter though, you'll have lot's of fun trying anyway. hysterical.

speaking of hysterical, you seem to let emotion cloud everything you say and do, so it's not likely just a "monthly" situation. you may want to get those meds afterall.

Your mindless words are impressive. Get your facts straight. What do you know about contracts? You want to quote the UCC to me? Look it up ***. When you don't know what you are talking about, fall back on insults. It makes you feel important. lol

Like we always say.....you can never argue with an ***; so don't even try. So you don't deserve any more of my time. I have much more important and educated people to speak to today. I will take up my issues with those that graduated High School....your supervisors!

With your GED I'm sure you've been quite successful. I likely make more in a month than you make in a year; which also likely coincides respectfully with the disparity in IQ as well.

When you come down from your afternoon blunt and killing more brain cells I am sure you might have a better chance to understand all that has been said. And that explains the reason UPS screws up and damages so many packages as well. You represent them well.

ever hear of the words agreement or contract? ups has a series of them that all shippers (ups customers) are required to sign before ups will carry their products.

these are referred to as the shipper's terms and tariffs. i can wait, please, feel free to look it up, doll. i'm sure all the confusing language will hurt your overhairsprayed melon but in effect, the carrier's limitations do not extend to you, the receiver, and merely cover the original shipper up to the cost of shipping. please, feel free to look it up.

so there you go, your wild claims are baseless and your emotional tirades laughable.

trial attorney?

hahhahaha, ok. i'm sure you are terribly successful, with $200 piece of paper you bought at that online diploma mill, er, 'university.' good luck with that, esquire.

I was told by someone that has worked for UPS for a long time that they could have done something about it!

And as far as meds....they were not mine....and people with medical problems do have to have medications! Thank God if you don't.

Let me add, that I know your mom is proud that you passed your GED and got a job at UPS; but as far as hiring a lawyer, I am a civil trial lawyer for a big multi-state firm. And I spend everyday dealing with liability because of business policies!!!

emotions are strong with you, remove emotion and succeed you will.

once a package is in the return shipping pipeline, it can't be rerouted. seems silly but only outbound parcels can be intercepted.

sounds an error on the part of up but who knows how the package was addressed, maybe the shipper screwed up? in any event, ups won't be liable, you can waste your money hiring a lawyer but their terms and tariffs are quite clear to limit any liability.

your best solution (instead of wasting time here complaining)...call the shipper, tell them what happened, have more meds sent overnight (to the correct address).

is life always this difficult for you? no wonder you need meds.

UPS IS ***

I ordered a package two weeks ago. UPS physically had it once and then never had it again, even though my package tracker said it was being delivered to my house that day. Then, it changed the delivery date two times and the same thing happened again. I called UPS and they said found part of the package and that was the last they saw of it. The woman I talked to said "I don't know why the driver didn't notice it wasn't a full package, but you know how they get in a hurry." Um, no! I understand that keeping track of thousands of packages is hard, but losing someone's package like that--which I am sure they have done numerous times--is ***. I am extremely upset with the services.
