UPS in Lake In The Hills, Illinois - Horrible company

I recently had a claim with UPS because i did not receive a $30 dollar package. and i had amazon send me another because i clearly did not receive said package even though ups claims i did. now they are calling me at 7am harassing me to answer questions when i first wake up. some *** even went as far to say that they wanted a police report from me!? wtf *** you guys. when you lost a 400 dollar package my girlfriend sent to her aunt wtf did you guys do? oh we cant find it sorry. poof its gone. or how about when i got someones package on my door for a road that wasnt even close to mine? no one ever came back to get it or anything. they probably just assumed that the person got their package. idk what it was i didnt open it. waited a week before driving to them and *** them out. and how about when i send someone a 500 dollar package and the person rents the place to a different person before the package gets there and the rentor keeps the package and says it wasnt delivered to them? all you guys did was say that the person at the house said they didnt receive it. you wouldnt help me at all so now you want a police report? you can go *** yourself ups. call me again and i will come to your office and *** you up. i already told you if you call me again the police will be notified.

I have spent 2 hours dealing with UPS. They were suppose to deliver 3 boxes, totalling over 200 pounds to my unit, the lazy driver left them in the lobby.

I cant move them, UPS said they cant move them til monday and in the meantime i will be fined daily by my condo unit.

UPS does not have a complaint option on their contact page and if you search their site on "complaint" nothing comes up. Are they that Arrogant or do they just not care.

Just because you order several items from the WalMart web site doesn't mean that they are all shipped from the same warehouse and some of the items are actually shipped from separate businesses.

UPS hijacks your packages.

UPS does not deliver packages. What they do deliver is little sticky notes saying they 'tried' to deliver your package, without bothering to ring a doorbell. Yesterday, as I was getting off the subway, I saw the UPS truck on my block. When I got to my front door, there was no sticky note, so I figured my package was not going to arrive that day. This morning, at 7am, I saw the sticky note on my door, which means they "attempted to deliver" my package when I was already home, they just didn't ring the bell. The sticky note also had all the redelivery times crossed out, as if they were never coming back. I, as well as everyone else in my building, have resorted to leaving notes to UPS pleading to ring our doorbells. This is the service I'm paying for? To have to schlep out to a sketchy part of Queens on my weekend to pick up packages I paid to get delivered to my doorstep. Sounds like I'm doing all the work.

In New York apartments with lobbies, doormen and elevators tend to be more expensive so if you live in a third floor walk up without a lobby you don't get your packages. They purposely come when they know you won't be home just so they don't have to carry packages up the stairs.

Since the lower class tends to live in these buildings it is discrimination. You can pay for them to bring your packages during a two hour window but why should I have to pay extra for that? I've already payed for shipping. And the My UPS is a joke.

You pay $40 a year so you can do what? Redirect for free. And you still have to pay $5 per package if you want to narrow the delivery window? If you choose to have it delivered to a UPS store, you can't change your mind - even though you can for any other delivery.

And customer service is a joke. All they will tell you is that they cannot confirm delivery times. I was told I could tell them to leave it by the front door. I live in an apartment building in New York.

My front door is the street. WhenI asked to talk to a supervisor I was told they were all busy. They offered to tell the local delivery center that the package hadn't arrived on time. What a joke.

And the worst part is that you can't choose how you will get your packages delivered from online stores. If you are lucky they come regular mail or you can pay extra for next day or second day shipping.

I would love for some one to start a more reliable shipping company. One that actually cares about all,of,it's custo era

UPS SUCKS

I've received packages via ups and fedex for more than 18 years on a weekly basis, as I home office. I never had a problem until the first of this year, when a package (a landline phone, no less) was reported as being delivered but none of us had seen it. UPS delivery guy came, told him that I didn't have package, we both talked about how we'd never had a problem before and so strange this one was a problem. It was a $43 phone, no less, nothing big or important or expensive. So... fast forward about 3 weeks. I found the box, it had been put into a packing box we were saving as we are preparing to move next spring. I immediately notified OfficeMax AND UPS that the package had been found, sorry about my mistake and issues. However, in the meantime, the driver of the truck had put a block on our address, we cannot receive anything unless signed for first. Regardless of the fact we have had - LITERALLY - thousands of packages delivered here with no problem, and the ONE problem we had was our own mistake, which we 'fessed up to, they are punishing us by making us be here every single package. In the past 2 weeks I've paid to have something shipped overnight, which didn't get to us in time because I was in the shower and couldnt' get to the door in time, or because they didn't knock loud enough to hear. From now on I will ONLY ship packages UPS that are HEAVY as *** and not needed in a hurry. Let the driver pay for his stubborness and stupidity. Everything that needs to be delivered in a rush, I will use Next Day Service via USP or FedEx, have not had troubles with either of them. So be warned - if you ever make a lost package delivery, even if a mistake is corrected, you will have to sign for every.single.box.that.comes, even if it was shipped overnight and the driver can easily see it was needed in a hurry.

THe driver has nothing to do with it. It is standard procedure by UPS loss prevention.

It is in an effort to make sure your packages are safely delivered. Keep after them and you can get it back to business as usual. Have some patience and don't hold the driver liable for what in fact was a problem you created.

UPS counts pennies dily and your claim cost them time and money. I know it sucks but that's how thar bean counters react.

Good luck and don't forget all the years of great service you mentioned.

I will never use UPS again!!

So i ordered a laptop and accidentally had it shipped to the wrong address (which i know was my fault) It was supposed to go to a family members home to keep it a surprise or else i would have used my own. But the thing that *** me off the most is that i called UPS and told them right away what had happened. Cause my tracking number said it had already been delivered 6 days ago. There best advice was to go to the address itself and get the package!! At that point I didn't mind cause there are only 3 houses on that block and my aunt's house was one of them. I actually went knocking on doors and of course no one has seen it, Which i actually doubt very highly but whatever. But what i actually discovered when i went knocking on doors, is that the address I had put in for delivery actually does not exist!!!! (even checked on MapQuest and Google) So again I called UPS to let them know that the address was non existent! And of course they didn't get a signature they probably just dropped a $700 laptop on the door or maybe some UPS guy/woman got a nice tip!! So there going to start a investigation which i'll get an answer in 8-10 Business days. But now after reading this website I probably wont get anywhere with this company. The UPS drivers just drop items off at any location just to get there job DONE!!!

I just did the same thing, my address used doesn't exist either. So who knows where my package is really going to.

I love when people screw up but that's ok. UPS screws up and it's the blame game.

If a shipper is too cheap to pay the extra couple bucks to require a signature, that's not the drivers fault. And if it's an unmarked box Mr. Driver has no idea what's in it.

Actually they will likely recover it despite your error. When they do please make sure to comment on that as well.

Good Luck

UPS Innovations,, AETNA and USPS

UPS Innovations is a department of UPS. UPS Innovations sends the items they get to the US Postal Service for delivery. The UPS Tracking number is changed at the USPS so when your package gets lost they don't know where it is. I order medications that sustain my life through Aetna who ships by UPS through UPS Innovations who gives it to the post office. I sent in an Rx over two weeks in advance. It is lost. No one can find it. No one can help me find it. UPS customer service says it was delivered to USPS. USPS says they don't have it. I got bounced back and forth with no resolution. The only person they didn't blame was George Bush. NEVER USE AETNA mail order pharmacy, UPS or UPS Innovations. They are FUBAR and, well, the post office. What can I say. Put the three together and it is a formula for disaster. REPEAT:: NEVER EVER USE AETNA, UPS, UPS Innovations, USPS. Find another way.

why is this posted in the UPS section? UPS doesn't just decide to give your package to the post office, it is requested by the company that sent it to you because it's a cheaper option for them.

Aetna cheaps out on you, UPS delivers it to the post office without a problem, then the post office loses it, and you complain about UPS?

they're the only ones who did the job right! lol you've failed.

UPS delivery guy was delivering a package to my business when my 30 pound austraiian shepard circled behind him and sniffed his shoe; he suddenly kicked my dog, getting her airborne, and claimed she bit him. I was within 5 feet of the incident, she didn't *** him (I...

You will lose this argument every time. You need to talk to the animal control authority for your area.

They will educate you accordingly and give you a warning. You are responsible for the dog no matter what. A delivery person should not have to wonder whether its safe to enter a property or not. A lack of language control doesn't help matters either.

A simple apology (whether right or wrong) would have been all it took for a resolution. I am not a delivery person but am sympathetic to the thousands of situations that delivery people have to endure every day.

We do that because we love to make three attempts on every stop so we can work til 8 pm and our kids are in bed when we get home!

I get blamed for knocking too hard. For knocking too lightly.

For leaving packages with a neighbor you don't get along with ( I wonder why)

Quite honestly we don't get have a lot of time in our schedule. I seldom look for a bell and most don't work anyway. I knock count to 15 and if no one makes a sound I am gone. Funny your neighbor who saw him didn't take your package.

My guess you don't get along with them either. Go figure.

UPS lied about delivering the package

I bought a new vaccum cleaner online which was shipped via UPS. After waiting for a week, I checked the UPS website, which indicated that they delievered the package. I was home all day and the UPS guy never came. When I complained with the online store, a week later the UPS guy came asking about the condition of the package. He told me that he left it at the door and left (without any signature). So I filed a complaint with my credit card company. They started an investigation and followed up with UPS. Now UPS somehow cameup with a fake signature that the delievered the package. If there was a signature, why did the delivery guy say he left it at the door? Now my credit card company is claiming UPS has my signature and wont reimburse me the money. Now I paid $174 for a merchendise which I dont have. UPS stole it.

I ordered some items through a company and I realized the process time for the order to be sent out would take a few weeks. The items were sent on 9/5/12 and was to be delivered "by end of day" 9/10/12. Which isn't bad at all. Only a week. Well, I was checking...
