UPS is horrible.

UPS left a message at my door for the missed package delivery. Upon calling i was told i can pick up my package from their riverside location in edison , nj. I reached the place around 8:45. there was a big line, I stood in line for more than 2 hrs. after that they told me they do not have my package. The lady at the location was really slow and did not talk properly and attended the customers. and now they do not have any information about the package. I needed this package urgently because i have a flight next day morning. I will not chose UPS in future.

1 Day Air Ship = 5 Day UPS Ship

I was trying to ship a package from Orlando, FL to Boca Raton, FL which is just a 1 day ship, but to be sure that it actually did arrive in one day (ship wed. arrive thurs), I paid extra for 1 day Air delivery. Well it is a good thing the is was just important paperwork and not a heart for a transplant because then I would have been really screwed. When I called on Thursday to find my package the tracking stated that there was a mistake in the sorting and "corrective action" has been taken. Fine, mistakes happen I will get a refund, fine.. Meanwhile Friday, I call again and it has yet another of this "corrective action" has been taken. Let me ask...How many times do you have to make a mistake before you actually do your job and ship your package. Apparently the package is STILL in Orlando, that is 2 days later, and the envelope hasn't even moved from where it was dropped off. At this point, I MAY get this package by Monday or Tuesday if I'm lucky. Funny part is I am going to Orlando on Saturday, but I can't just pick up my package because apparently it has already been rerouted - maybe. They should pay me to do their job, I would have gotten my package faster. The person I spoke with was fine on the phone, the problem is not with the customer service all of the time, it is there system of shipping that is wrong. I don't know what they need to do but they should work on their "Logistics" so that they can make their customer service reps' lives' easier. Thank You UPS for doing absolutely nothing and taking my money. I appreciate it.

UPS in Milledgeville, Illinois - NICE driver not nice service

I work in front part of a law firm office along with a few other coworkers. I am still in school so I am just trying to get my foot in the door. Our boss told us to be on the look out for a VERY important next day air document, which must be delivered by 10:30 via UPS. It wasn't until about 10:45 when the driver came in to deliver! My boss was furious. It was not the normal guy and this guy was looked extremely panicked saying he didnt know the route and he was just covering for the day... After about 5 mins of getting chewed out by my boss I felt really bad for this guy. He was very apologetic, so I offered him a bottle of water. He gladly accepted after my boss had left the front of the building. We told him to take his time so he could catch his breath. He called his boss to explain what had happened and asked for help. I started going back to work as usual almost forgetting the UPS man was in the office. Then i got a text from my coworker across the room. It said "look at MR. BIG", confused I looked up and she was gesturing toward the driver who was on his phone. I look over and he was leaning against a chair and the outline of his you know what was clearly visible!! It looked almost exactly like he had put a banana in his pants but you could see the end of it. The biggest I have seen is my boyfriends which is like a hot dog but shorter. I cant even imagine what Mr.UPS would be like excited. I hope he doesnt get in trouble so I can see more of him. I love my boyfriend, but I cant stop thinking about what it would be like...

The other people on here are close minded, so don't even worry about them.....If that is what your BF is working with, then I guess I can understand your curiosity. There is a reason you think about what it would be like.

It sounds like you are feeling disappointed in certain areas. Let me tell you, The excitement of what you saw is only a taste of what could be a reality.

Do what makes you happy and don't let others judge. It is their place!

My ups driver is smoking hot also! He is the talk of our office. Too bad he is married because I don't think he would make it out alive otherwise!!

I agree with sessa. To begin with anybody old enough to be working in a law office is old enough to not be letting the world know about this. It would be one thing to talk about it with a friend but to put it online is rather immature.

UPS tries 3x to deliver, after that your screwed

I had ordered a mattress topper from Kohls, but they actually never carried the item, so it got sourced out to a vendor to deliver via UPS. I got a dumb little notice on my door saying it was their 'second attempt" at delivering which was a lie since it was actually their first, so they came one more time, and oh ALAS I was at this dumb little thing, we as American's like to call A JOB! So when they made their half-*** delivery attempt during the week M-F I wasn't home...I know UPS, it's my fault. So, I log on to their website and track the package and request for it to be left at their store so I can pick it up myself. 3 days later I was off and ready to retrieve my item, I log on, and it said the package was signed for? Being that it only could have been me, I was perplexed to say the least. I call UPS, and this lady reading from a script of trouble-shooting issues says I need to contact the seller, and that was all she could do. "Is there anything else I can assist you with today ma'a," she says, (me) "no, no, you've been so helpful" loaded with sarcasm of course, and she says "ok, well thank you for calling UPS, and have a good night" Needless to say, I had to reorder the item, pay more because it was no longer on sale, ALL because UPS is a piece of ***!

UPS delivered to the wrong house and a dog chewed up the package!

I hate UPS!! They have messed up the last two times I have used them. The first time they delivered a package with my dads insulin to the wrong house and the neighbors dogs chewed up the package entirely! If they had gotten into the insulin I am sure they would be dead now!! Then I had a package coming from Florida that was suppose to be here by 5:00 I actually called them around two to see if they could give me an idea of when.... they said before 5:00. I called at 4:45 and then they said I needed an APPOINTMENT??? I had waited ALL day and then they say they needed an APPOINTMENT?? They had my number!! Why didn't they call??? So now they are saying sometime tomorrow!! REALLY?? I will NEVER use them again!!! I am definitely ANOTHER PISSED OFF CUSTOMER!!!

YOU ARE NOT ALONE! May not be any consolation to you, but they lost our regional payroll envelope today.I made eight calls and still no explanation of how they screwed up.

My envelope was one of several that were shipped from Canada on Thursday. It either goes standard mail(5 days) or UPS overnite) I checked status at 8a.m Friday. It showed out for delivery. Then I called to see why it was not there.

It never left Louiville KY. Record showed it got there. Just could not get it airborne. Too long a story, still no answers.

I have to pay my employer the $50 PREMIUM RATE to get the package overnited. *** Poor Customer Service at High Prices. To add insult to injury UPS is making our entire group wait until Monday. When I asked them to get the package to me via Saturday Service, I was told they cannot locate the package and change the label.

I wish my employer would ship Federal Express. I do absolutely and positively need my paycheck.

UPS.. why!?! Closed down good facility now having to deal with bad..

Update by user Sep 24, 2012

I also have wasted $5 worth of minutes talking to this SOB facility when it could have been resolved for $1

Original review posted by user Sep 24, 2012

I have generally enjoyed UPS but this time all is not well. I had found out that the Gurnee, IL facility closed down (i guess to bad economic issues) and now i have to deal with the Northbrook facility. Not only the facility is 50+ minutes away they are not being very helpful. When they tried to send me my package they gave up at the lobby door. Couldn't find my name in the building directory, yes this is my problem as i don't have a landline phone and so i noticed that i needed to contact them. Well trying to contact the facility was a pain. Everytime i called they said they would call back and let me know what happened, meanwhile everytime i try calling i get the same *** over and over again without any resolve. So i tried contacting newegg and this morning i contacted UPS at the site. So far no response from either place. If i cannot get a response i can't get my package. I am at a loss of what to do and i do not wish to drive 50+ minutes to get the package. I have been trying to get the package redelivered with contacting me on my cellphone. I am unhappy with the service i am receiving and i have always had great service with the Gurnee facility, why they closed it down and now im expected to work with a bunch of neanthrathals is beyond me. It's ridiculous!

Are you a UPS representative? Your comment is ridiculous.

If you were in my situation where they couldn't drop your package for whatever reason and had to drive 3 hours to get it you'd be pissed too! It's not my fault the economy sucks right now and i can't afford to have a landline phone and am forced to use a pay as you go phone service to save whatever money i can because i am UNABLE TO FIND A BETTER JOB BECAUSE THE ECONOMY SUCKS!

And it's not my fault UPS closed the facility that was nearby so i could pick up my friggen package! This is not simple as UPS has made it difficult to even give me a decent answer.

UPS service is horrible

I regularly ask to have wine shipped to my home. UPS can never deliver it timely and they fail to ring the doorbell when they do arrive. The last delivery was the worst. We specifically waited home so as not to miss the delivery. They again failed to ring the door bell and left their *** note--twice. We scheduled a specific delivery time and paid $5 to have it delivered on Friday. I took the day to work from home. They never put the package on the truck. When I called at 4:30 pm, I was finally told I should drive 30 min and pick it up at the warehouse. Guess what? I spend the 30 min to drive there, wait in line for 30 min, wait 30 min while they hunt for it only to be told they locked it up and they would "try to deliver it on Monday". What utter BS. I call the customer service number. It is a complete misnomer. They clearly don't care about the customers and the folks on the 1-800 number can't actually do anything. My advice is vote with your check book and use some other delivery service. I have. Who has time to wait at home for 8 hours 3 days in row for them to decide to do their job.

I HEAR YOU. I waited all day 5 feet from my door yesterday and the doorbell never rang, and nobody knocked on my door.

I have a dog that goes bonkers anytime the doorbell rings and anytime the door gets knocked on, he will stand there and bark at that door. I finally look outside my door at 7:30pm and see the sticker on the door that they had been here, but no doorbell and no knock on the door!!! HOW DO THEY NOT KNOCK OR RING THE DOORBELL? And it's a "new guy" and he shipped all my packages back to sender!!!!

HORRIBLE. THE 800 NUMBER PEOPLE sayin broken english "sorry cannot help you, we will let ups know your troubles, thats all thankyou." I was not happy at all.

UPS Customer Center, Doraville GA

By far the most unprofessional, slow, incompetent batch of employees I have ever seen. Not to mention they look like escaped convicts. I had the pleasure of watching this center's inefficiencies first hand for 3 hours tonight while waiting for a package. For entire 45 minute periods every employee would disappear into the back leaving customers waiting alone and completely uninformed. Never once did any of them attempt to update customers on the progress of receiving and distributing packages. Packages were hoarded in the back and slowly handed out in small batches, rather than handing them out as they were found. After 3 hours I'm told that my package was misplaced and I go home empty handed. There is a reason why these people can't get real jobs.

UPS discriminates against lower income customers

In New York apartments with lobbies, doormen and elevators tend to be more expensive so if you live in a third floor walk up without a lobby you don't get your packages. They purposely come when they know you won't be home just so they don't have to carry packages up the stairs. Since the lower class tends to live in these buildings it is discrimination. You can pay for them to bring your packages during a two hour window but why should I have to pay extra for that? I've already payed for shipping. And the My UPS is a joke. You pay $40 a year so you can do what? Redirect for free. And you still have to pay $5 per package if you want to narrow the delivery window? If you choose to have it delivered to a UPS store, you can't change your mind - even though you can for any other delivery. And customer service is a joke. All they will tell you is that they cannot confirm delivery times. I was told I could tell them to leave it by the front door. I live in an apartment building in New York. My front door is the street. WhenI asked to talk to a supervisor I was told they were all busy. They offered to tell the local delivery center that the package hadn't arrived on time. What a joke. And the worst part is that you can't choose how you will get your packages delivered from online stores. If you are lucky they come regular mail or you can pay extra for next day or second day shipping. I would love for some one to start a more reliable shipping company. One that actually cares about all of it's customers.
