UPS website, live chat, and phone service sux
I've spent an hour (this time) trying to see how much it would cost to ship a poker table top to a destination 175 miles away. Entered my CC # 6 times on their confused website, trying to get the application completed. No phone service or live chat on Saturdays. Spent 10 minutes with the automated phone service, before finding that a 50 pound package had to be sent through a different department-that is closed on Saturdays. All I want is an estimate. There is no way to get one online or any other way. Why should I have to entered a CC# if I have no idea what it is going to cost? UPS usually has a good reputation, but the customer service is really poor.
Ups driver hit my well housing
My wife called and said we had no water. I got home and could see there were dual tire tracks that were imprinted on the grass and our well housing was cracked and in pieces the the electrical cable was torn apart. I asked if we had any deliveries form anyone that day. She said yes, UPS had delivered a package. it was obvious, the driver cut the driveway short and hit the well casing and tore the electrical out. They admitted they turned around in the driveway and could see the tire tracks in the grass. They said there was no evidence since the driver denied it and there was no physical damage to the truck so there was no proof they were responsible.
UPS in Union, New Jersey - USP Constant Harassment from the Driver
We are located in North Plainfield, NJ and have had a continual problem for last 10 years with a driver who works out of the Chimney Rock Rd off rt 22 east in Bound Brook, NJ location. His supervisors and upper management have done nothing to resolve this harassment including his confrontational nature, lying about UPS's policies as well as damaging packages by kicking holes in them or throwing them around. He has misrepresented his direct manager by stating that he was told to photograph our packages after they are in our hall, when his supervisor stated that he was never told to do that. He has said that it is UPS's policy for a customer to assist with a heavy delivery when the real policy is to wait until the last delivery of the day and request assistance from a fellow driver. Last December of 2011, he left a 75 lb, 7 foot carton booby trapping our downstairs door that would prevent us from leaving our apartment in case of a fire or the need to flee in case of an emergency. He also endangered the lives of the family who lives downstairs from us, including husband, wife and their two very small children. I have had lies told to us by their corporate office in Georgia as well has he is being shielded and allowed to continue this type of harassment with little to no interception from his immediate management. He has 10 years of complaints against him and UPS is being used by him to commit actions against their policies and mission statement. We have asked UPS to put him on another route to help with this issue, but they refuse to do so. We try to NEVER use companies that utilize the services of UPS, but that is impossible at time. I was expecting a package delivered through USP and it did not arrive despite the tracking number stating that it was. I called UPS and they insisted that it was delivered to my address. They rudely said that I even called and refused the package. I told them I was home all day an they never came to my house. I asked them for the number, called it and discovered it was a residence a block away. This is not the first time this has happened. They were rude on the phone and insisted 3 times that it WAS delivered to my house. CAN'T THESE PEOPLE READ SIMPLE NUMBERS? Are they hiring kindergarteners?
UPS does not honor insurance claim.
I shipped my almost new plotter from UPS store # 1009 to zip code 99669, and purchased $500 in insurance just to be safe. I paid a little over $200 to ship the package, but it would be ok if the plotter was received undamaged. They denied my claim because it was not packaged properly. Let me tell you how I packaged it. I bought 4 comfy shock adsorbent pillows at Walmart to cover the 4 major sides and wrapped a soft blanket around the entire plotter to ensure it would not get broke. It fit perfectly and was extremely snug with padding all around and would have to be thrown into oncoming traffic to be broken. The package arrived with a big punch hole on the top and the UPS driver said it must have suffered a blow and didnt know how it happened. Nothing was thought of it because of how much padding was inside the box. I opened it and the paper guide was completely off but it clamps together so no biggie there. I turn it on and cartridges will not move and makes loud clicking noise now!! INSURANCE DENIED! They said if I would have wrapped it in bubble wrap it would have been accepted. REALLY! Bubble wrap is better packaging material then 4 pillows and a blanket????? I call B.S. I am going to make some YouTube videos showing how much of a blow it must have suffered to break with all the packaging materials. I am also going to make a video showing how bubble wrap would have been no comparison to my packaging. Moral of the story is UPS insurance is a scam. NOW I AM OUT MY PLOTTER AND OVER $200. BBB is next, this insurance fraud has to stop. Only reason I shipped it because I trusted UPS better then Alaska Air but none of my other stuff was broken on Alaska Air JUST UPS!!
UPS in Houston, Texas - DROPPED DONATIONS TO THE BOY SCOUTS
UPS has dropped donations to the boy scouts because of an on-line petition against the boy scout's stand against *** leaders and scouts. I have been a scout leader for 32 years and have seen situations where these perverts have preyed on the boys. The BSA has to protect the boys from these perverts. Shame on UPS for their stand. An on-line petition should not be enough to justify pulling donations. Who are these people (or person) that constitutes these on-line signatures? How *** can UPS be? A real organization there. Use FEDEX until they cave into the sodomites.
UPS don't deliver and lies about it
USPS and Fedex resumed delivery 4 days after Sandy in Sea Gate, Coney Island. Those bastards from UPS, I saw a track after a week or so and after that what they did they deserve to go to jail. I ordered 2nd day delivery important items to fight the flood and mold in basement; the idiots did not want to deliver, but they did not inform Amazon that they will not deliver, they just had the merchandise one day out for delivery and after that they send it back to sender, saying that due to adverse weather conditions (what adverse conditions after Nov 12 to Nov 16?) they returned the merchandise. On Nov 16 they lied to my pharmacy that sends every month valuable injections (on ice) for my wife MS, saying to the pharmacy that I did not accept the package that's why they are returning it. Because their irresponsible action valuable medicine probably were ruined and besides that my wife did not get her treatment. Anybody knows how to and where to fill out compliant about this no good company? The email received from their Customer Service says the same lie, that my merchandise were returned to sender because emergency conditions. Why they did not contact me to schedule a pick, why they did not try to deliver 3 times, I thought that their policy is to try 3 times and only after that to return to sender. This company doesn't exist for my family, we will boycott them anywhere we can, we will not order from any vendor that uses UPS.
according to our video camara's UPS NEVER stopped at our house.. the package was signed 2:49--they never even passed my house till 3:01pm-- that was a 10 min span..however the package was SIGNED *MET MAN*-- I will say my bad in the past my neighbor has signed for...
UPS in Toronto, Ontario - Changing Delivery Address
UPS first instructed me on its site to request a change of delivery address with the sender, which I did. They then still tried to deliver to my home address which I didn't want. When I called to request a change of delivery address, I was directed to the online site www.ups.com, which did not provide a change of address selection even though it was supposed to. Next when I called them to speak with a representative over the phone to redirect the delivery, I was told once again to speak to the sender, which I had already done but like automatons they could not do anything. It was a never ending circle of idiocy just to try to change an address. Where is the flexibility or trying to accommodate the customer's needs? There is a reason that UPS refers to themselves as "Brown", I have had the *** service from this company and will never, ever use this company to deliver nor will I ever recommend it to anyone! I am pissed!
Using UPS to move my belongings was a diasaster
So much damage to my belongings,properly packed, that I didn't even pursue rectification....I haven't recovered enough yet. Do you know what it takes to dent in a Makita circular saw case in a box with foam? I shipped 54 boxes across the country most had damage. I worked for a moving co. and my packing still didn't spare me the results. They're like the old Samsonite Commercial with the gorillas throwing suitcases around except they use forklift trucks too!. Almost all of my packing beads and bubble wrap had been melted to my belongings...no kidding. It just goes on from there.
