UPS hires lazy, inept drivers
For what is probably the 12th or 13th time in the span of 10 months, the UPS delivery driver that handled my package failed to walk the 50 feet from my front door to the rental office so the office manager could sign for my package. I also had a package from FedEx that day, and the FedEx driver had no problem going to the office to have the package signed for, but not UPS. The last time this happened, which was about a month ago, the manager of the UPS office for my area rather dismissively told me that I should have signed the door notice and left it for the driver, which I never had to do for the other companies to have them leave it at the rental office. So you can imagine my surprise when I signed the notice they left yesterday, put it on my door in plain sight at eye level, and left for work, only to log on and find the driver had refused to leave it at my door or at the rental office for me to pick up tomorrow morning. Which reminds me, tomorrow makes the 3rd delivery attempt, and I would hate to have the driver fail to leave the package, and the package return to the online store I purchased it from. Seriously, how much effort is it for the driver to take a 2 pound package 50 feet to the office manager and have her sign for it, when every other package delivery service does this by default. For whatever reason, UPS stands alone in hiring drivers that are inept, lazy, or both. I've done what they asked, and they still refuse to leave the package at the rental office. Not only that, every time this has happened previously and I've spoken to corporate, they tried to help, but there seemed to be a major disconnect between corporate and this local UPS office. So I've been forced to wait at the local office for over 2 hours on several occasions while the delivery driver was still on the road, and only then, wait for someone to ferret around the truck for however long it took to find my package, which could have all been avoided if the driver had just left the package at the rental office like every other delivery service does...
UPS Sunnyvale, CA service sucks
My packages are delivered from UPS Sunnyvale in California and I have to say that this facility is very badly run and their service completely sucks!!! I was expecting 3 packages to be delivered on Wednesday from 3 different vendors but they missed their delivery date for all of them. I was like, no issues they will deliver next day. Next morning, I track the status as 'out for delivery' which by noon converted to 'exception - package left at facility. delivery rescheduled'. Wow... the driver did not care to pick up the packages - not one, not two but all three. Called up UPS 800 number to file a complaint. I was told I will receive a call in an hour from the facility. As expected no call was received. This has happened second time in a row from the same facility. Earlier in the month, I was expecting a COD delivery and waited the whole day for the package to be shipped and make consequent payment. But no one showed up and the tracking status was updated at the end of day as 'customer not available'. There was no attempted delivery note left so... mr. smart *** just updated the status to show he attempted the delivery. I really needed these packages to be delivered on time. I am so pissed with UPS at this time. No wonder, I always prefer fedex over ups.
I would like to express how much I HATE UPS and cant even stand seeing the brown trucks driving around town! I purhase things online frequently and have had several large checks mailed to me from my job. I seem to only have a problem receiving things when its sent through UPS. I know its the driver and i have made several complaints that are followed up by a call fom a " supervisor" that basically tells me im wrong his driver wouldnt do such a thing or atleast my package wasnt left on my doorstep when they gave my package to a complete stranger! I absolutely hate UPS!!!
UPS More than sucks
UPS obviously doesn't hire people who can read. I ordered a Christmas gift - a Bose sound system - to be delivered to my mother. She spent the entire day waiting for the delivery, frequently checking her porch, but the package was never delivered to her. Then UPS had the nerve to state they delivered the package. Earlier this year UPS claimed they delivered a package to me which they never delivered and another time, the *** they hired couldn't find my street despite having a GPS system in the truck. I guess you have to pass a stupidity and dishonesty test to work for that company! I wish they would go out of business. I am tired of paying to have something delivered to my door only to be told by their so-called supervisors to go search around the neighborhood! Their delivery prices are not cheap and to pay their ridiculous delivery prices is absurd. They never want to search or look for anything they have claim to have delivered, and the customer is left having to call the sender and the sender and customer have to do all the work while UPS does nothing. I could add a few choice names for them but it wouldn't do an ounce of good because they are nothing but a greedy dishonest bunch of jerks.
Geneseo, NY UPS STORE 5159 RUDE & CRUDE!
Dropped off item for shipping on 11/19/12, overcharged me for shipping and didn't ship out until 1 week later! Refused to supply me with a tracking number when I first dropped off the item. Said he would e-mail, NEVER DID. His phone lines at the store don't work, probably because he gets so many compliants! Had to drive to the store 3 more times before he gave me the tracking number, lied and said he had e-mailed it, I told him he didn't. Hey replied "YOU DON"T KNOW WHAT THE *** YOUR TALKING ABOUT!" David Walters is his name and he is the store owner.
UPS delivery issues
I ordered a couple of items online from different sites but the items mainly ship through UPS. My issue is why is it that UPS waits until it gets dark to start delivering to residential areas? This is not the first time that this has happened actually I've been through this twice within a 30 day period. I do not like UPS showing up and my doorstep at 7-8pm at night when they start as early as 4:30am. If it's going to be that long then they should deliver next day. Doesn't make any sense.
UPS Deceit and Incompetence
I ordered a package to be delivered to my business using 2 day service. We dutifully tracked the package and it showed "out for delivery" on the day it was due. When it didn't show, we called... and UPS said it was "still en route" and to wait until 7:30 pm. So one of my employees went on overtime for 2.5 hours to await the package. At 7:30 pm, we called again and they then said... "hmmm... it appears the package was never loaded on the truck" and that we could arrange to pick up the item at their facility, which we did the following day. They also said we could apply for a refund. We did so, but now UPS is claiming that because we arranged to pick up the package at their facility, that no refund is due. So not only did they lie to us repeatedly, they have now defrauded us with their actions by conning us into picking the package up ourselves. This appears to be an extremely dishonest organization and I will do my best to NOT do business with them again.
Pathetic UPS South Africa service
I phoned UPS at OR TAMBO on 24 / 11 / 2012 (SATURDAY) 12H42 PM (011-571-8860) and spoke to a man which unfortunately i could not remember the name of about my parcel that's from Germany. According to the website my parcel cleared customs and confirmed this with the man i spoke to. I asked him if i could collect the parcel and he said no because the parcel must be sent to the warehouse which is in Brussels Road, Spartan, Kempton park. He said I must collect it the following day at the warehouse and I must PLEASE COLLECT IT BEFORE 13h00 because on Sundays the warehouse closes earlier than other days. So on Sunday as instructed I drove all the way to Kempton park to collect my Parcel. I arrived there 11H45 to make sure I am not late. When I got to the security gate there seamed to be a problem and I asked them what is the problem and he said no they are closing at 12H00. So the man firstly informed me incorrectly about the closing time of the warehouse on Sunday. I was let in and so finally got to the warehouse. I gave my tracking number to a gentleman and he then called the person in charge which was Yvonne. She then told me she can not give me the parcel because on Sundays they do not allow any collections, so this is the second time the man at UPS OR Thambo gave me false information. I explained this to Yvonne and she said there is nothing she can do and I asked her if she can get me a manager and she refused and said she is the MANAGER. I told her I drove all the way form Pretoria and she went in again and came back after a while. She then told me that the UPS system on a Sunday is off-line WORLDWIDE and that she can not check to see in which part of the warehouse the package is. She also told me later that my package is not even cleared form customs so i asked her how she can check if the UPS system is OFF-LINE WORLDWIDE and she said she checked on the internet. So the only she could have checked is the UPS tracking website and according to the tracking website the package was cleared on Friday the 23/11/2012 ALLREADY. I then had no option to leave without my parcel and have asked her to please call me the next day on Monday the 25/11/2012 to let me know where my parcel is and it already 15h00 and heard nothing from UPS. Her attitude was terrible especially when I made her aware of the fact that her excuses does not add up. She turned her back on me and went in back in the warehouse. This is unacceptable services from such a big company. I am dealing with them every week and that's the sort of service I get? What I think it was too much trouble for Yvonne to give me my parcel since it was time for her to leave work. PATHETIC!!!!!
UPS website, live chat, and phone service sux
I've spent an hour (this time) trying to see how much it would cost to ship a poker table top to a destination 175 miles away. Entered my CC # 6 times on their confused website, trying to get the application completed. No phone service or live chat on Saturdays. Spent 10 minutes with the automated phone service, before finding that a 50 pound package had to be sent through a different department-that is closed on Saturdays. All I want is an estimate. There is no way to get one online or any other way. Why should I have to entered a CC# if I have no idea what it is going to cost? UPS usually has a good reputation, but the customer service is really poor.
Ups driver hit my well housing
My wife called and said we had no water. I got home and could see there were dual tire tracks that were imprinted on the grass and our well housing was cracked and in pieces the the electrical cable was torn apart. I asked if we had any deliveries form anyone that day. She said yes, UPS had delivered a package. it was obvious, the driver cut the driveway short and hit the well casing and tore the electrical out. They admitted they turned around in the driveway and could see the tire tracks in the grass. They said there was no evidence since the driver denied it and there was no physical damage to the truck so there was no proof they were responsible.
