UPS : Customer WHAT !

UPS has no idea what Customer Service/Relations mean. I think they need a real competitor in the market to make them realize how upset people are ! I have daily - DAILY - deliveries by UPS my delivery guy is so nice and friendly. UNTIL - a package was dropped off on my porch, at sunset when no one was home. You know what happened next, the package dissapeared. The retailer I purchased the item from was very helpful, sent the items again next day no problem. Guess they have heard about Customer Service, UPS on the other hand turned up with a form at my front door demanded I sign it saying I did not receive it, informed me they would be contacting the police AND sending out their own investigation team. They also informed me that from now on I would have to sign for every delivery, even if there was no signature required. This would be a great plan if I wanted to be a hostage in my own home waiting for my daily deliveries ! At this point I thought I will talk to customer service, ummm Customer WHAT .... the representatives that passed me around on the telephone for nearly 30 minutes could not help me. They informed me the dispatch supervisor from my depot would need to call me and no I could not have that number it is kept private ! Why I dont know because when she called me the caller ID showed the number. She also was so abrupt and rude I actually asked her what her issue was with me. I was a victim also. She informed me she had over 500 calls to make today : I guess I am not the only one to have a package dissapear during this crazy time of year. BUT they make you think you are !!!!

UPS useless

My normal driver is amazing. Hides my packages and manages to deliver! The guy that covers his route when he's out, horrible! Five separate occasions he's left my packages on the truck to have to be delivered by my regular guy. Delivered one item to someone else no one on my block. Can't figure out how to deliver to me but can deliver to my neighbors! To make matters worse, my sorting facility on Long Island hve started losing my packages as soon as they arrive! Ups customer service sucks. You have to do all the work and they take no responsibility for losing your packages. It's not the companies fault you hire people who can't deliver and lose people's items!!!!

UPS Thailand

UPS UK shipped goods for me to Thailand for 95 UK pounds, which i thought was a good price for 20 kg. UPS Thailand doubled the cost of shipping declared on the customs declaration form (UPS Thailand say they did not know the cost of shipping, how can this be when they UPS shipped the goods from start to finish). So i was charged customs duty for my goods plus duty on the freight charges resulting in the freight charge duty doubling. UPS Thailand says they cannot amend their invoice which has caused me to pay double the duty cost for shipping. Typical Thailand not their fault is the reply to my complaint. STAY AWAY FROM DOING BUSINESS WITH UPS THEIR ARE MANY OTHER COMPANIES TO CHOOSE FROM!!!

UPS in Ottawa, Ontario - Driver left within 15 seconds or ringing bell.

I work nights. When the doorbell rang I woke up, checked the time, 3:55, burst out of bed, threw on my robe and flew down the stairs. By the time I opened the door the truck was taking off. I barely got to see that it was ups deliverying (I ordered from Costco) to me. I ordered my tv. It said it'd be here yesterday an now the driver waits 15 seconds for a response? There's a problem here. I got back to my bed by 3:57. I'm in Ottawa Ontario. It's kind of cold out, but I don't even think two minutes is all that much to ask. Is it?

Drivers don't have have 2 min per stop to wait.

With 200 individual addresses, that would be over 3 1/2 hours of their day, just not time for that !

UPS non delivery

I don't often use my blog as a platform to air my personal (or business, as the case may be) grievances, but as I sit down to write today's blog, I find myself distracted due to the gross incompetence of the United Parcel Service (UPS). And, if you, my good readers, can relate to this experience, it is my hope that you can understand why I'm exercising my right to free speech here and, well, venting for all to see, about how UPS just ruined my day!! Here's the story: We have a computer training course occurring in Ottawa this coming Monday. So, to be diligent, I called UPS this past Tuesday (well in advance) to schedule a shipment (of our course material to our facilitator in Ottawa) to be picked up at our location on Wednesday and be delivered before close of business on Thursday. UPS assured me that the driver would arrive here between 3:30 pm and 5:00 pm to pick up the package. They never showed up!! On Thursday morning, I called UPS to find out what the *** had happened. They were apologetic and assured me that the driver would definitely show up today (Thursday). I explained, however, that due to the fact that the shipment was now going out a day later, we would have to ship using their "˜Express' service as opposed to their "˜Standard' service. As "˜Express' service is more expensive, I asked that they compensate by not charging me the extra fee. I was impressed when they offered the service completely free of charge, with a guarantee that the package would arrive the following day (today – Friday) by no later than 10:30 am. I take it you know where I'm going with this… At about 10:15 this morning, the recipient had not yet received the package, so I called UPS to track it. They assured me that, yes, it was indeed on the truck for delivery and would be arriving in the next 15 minutes. I was guardedly satisfied with that. I hung up the phone and waited for the recipient to call to let me know that the package had arrived safely. I waited until 10:45. The phone rang. It was Greg, but the news was not good! UPS had in fact shown up at his apartment building, but for some reason that only the forces beyond will ever know, the driver, in his infinite wisdom, neglected to actually buzz Greg's apartment, instead opting to simply leave a sticker on his mailbox, indicating that UPS had been to the building with the package. My question for UPS (when I called to find out what the ***!!) was, "How does this help us?" They took all of my information yet again, including the tracking number, only to tell me that there had been an attempt at delivery. I explained how that attempt had fallen short and that the bottom line still remained that the recipient did not have the package in hand. The person I spoke with mumbled something about an entry code to the building and how it had not been included on the waybill. I patiently explained that an entry code was not necessary – that the driver needed only to buzz the apartment number. I also explained that we had shipped to this address about a gazillion times in the past, without incident. I requested that the driver go immediately back to the building – no harm done. I was told that would be impossible. I requested that the package be re-delivered sometime later in the day. I was told that would be impossible. I asked if the UPS depot in Ottawa was open on Saturday so that Greg at least could pick up the package himself. I was told that, no, it was not open on Saturday. After much kerfuffle (and quite some time on hold), I was informed that they could send the package to the UPS store, located on the other side of town, and that it could be picked up there, but only between the hours of 12:00 and 3:00. When I explained to this person, with a sense of urgency, that the contents of this package were crucial for a meeting this afternoon (a little bit of shameless lying never hurt anybody) to see if I could light a fire under their collective ***, I was told still, that this was the best they could do. When I then asked how UPS compensated their clients for these types of blunders (money lost, embarrassment at not having the required documents for a meeting, time lost, etc.), I was informed in no uncertain terms, that "UPS doesn't do that." Now that's customer service for ya'! I could have really lost it, used my well-stocked four letter word vocabulary and been insufferable, but that would have only served to upset me more than them. I simply thanked her for her time and let her know that my next call would be to Federal Express to set up my new account. Without waiting for her reply, I hung up. Anyone want to place bets on whether or not the package will be at the UPS store tomorrow as promised? Well, we're not taking any chances – we have put together another set of course material, packaged it up and will be making a trip to Ottawa this weekend! Thank you so very much, UPS!!!

I pissed off by UPS post in Canada, Toronto

I SENT MY MOTHER PASSPORT THROUGH THE UPS FROM CANADA TO TURKEY WITH PRE-PAID ENVELOPE INSIDE AS PER EMBASSY REQUIREMENTS. PASSPORT DELIVERED TO TURKET AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS WITH 105 DOLLARS COST. (GOOD SIDE OF SERVICES) AFTER ISSUING THE VISA, EMBASSY PUT THE PASSPORT INSIDE THE RETURN ENVELOPE AND HANDED OVER TO UPS. UPS RETURNED BACK THE ENVELOPE TO EMBASSY AFTER 3 DAYS AND MENTIONED THE RETURN ENVELOPE IS PAID BY CREDIT CARD WHICH IS NOT PROPER SHIPPING WAY. I CALLED UPS AND SENT MANY BACK AND FORTH EMAILS THROUGH THEIR OFFICE IN TORONTO AND AFTER THREE WEEKS, UPS MENTIONED EMBASSY IS NOT GIVING THE ENVELOPE TO UPS! FOUR WEEKS PAST AND STILL MY MOTHER DO NOT HAVE HER PASSPORT IN HANDS AND I DO NOT KNOW WHAT I HAVE TO DO WITH THIS TERRIBLE UPS POST WHICH THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW THEY HAVE TO COMMUNICATE TOGETHER IN INTERNATIONALY. LOCALLY ARE GOOD BUT INTERNATIONALY ARE TERRIBLE. IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME, I APPRECIATE TO BE ADVISED. THANKS, MIKE

UPS has gotten horrible

What happened? Delivery was much better years ago. On 2 day that I worked from home, UPS simply dropped the box on my front porch. No doorbell was rung, no knock on the door, just drop and go. Now, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt that I am rarely home, but my car was in the driveway, clear as day. Last night, there's a big box on my front porch, which I dragged into the house. Just as I'm about to tear it open, I look at the shipping label and it's not even mine; it belonged to someone on the next block! In front of my porch, I have a beautiful address sign, engraved with the number and street name. God forbid they even look at it. The majority of packages I have delivered to work, which this last few weeks, it's been a rare occurence to see a box that hasn't been mangled, and I get a lot of packages (mostly from Amazon). And there's no place on the UPS website to complain, I call and the options just keep looping me all over the place.

You will be glad to know that UPS provides professional delivery because they are a union shop. Well, that's what they tell you.

The opposite is true, however.

Best to try and use FedEx whenever possible. They are non union and try much harder to provide good delivery and customer service.

UPS delivers my goods to another address

Christmas shopping online again but leave it to UPS to destroy Christmas. i live in austintown Ohio. Mahoning county. i think our UPS is worst in country. they don't knock on doors or even attempt to deliver to correct address. they scan package delivered in the van and run to A door (any door) and put the package down and run back to truck and drive off. I've seen this down 1000's of times and getting sick of it. i request anyone shipping to me to NOT USE UPS just for this reason. My goods end up down 2 houses up 24 houses on next street. these are just the ones i have managed to find. all we get when it's missing is: well we have it delivered to you at this such and such time. Well i call ***. i send out goods all the time and i never use ups 'cause all i get is pissed off customers.. sorry ups but YOU SUCK.I hope you lose all your business.

UPS Does LIE

Marked as customer refused for damage when NO delivery attempt made - online chat with them stated they saw damage and chose to return but marked as customer refused. Initial Question: What is this I refused?? One UPS guy showed up with a different item from casa.com - I have been watching and waiting for this package and it was NOT brought to me??? Dana J.: Hi, this is Dana J.. I'll be happy to assist you. Dana J.: I can understand the concern. Just a moment while I look into that for you. Dana J.: I apologize, the system indicates the package was damaged. At this point, the sender will be notified with any additional details. Amy: I worked thursday and friday but no notices left - saw on tracking package was out and back twice so STAYED home to get it today but not on first truck - I asked the driver - no other driver was even here Amy: Says I refused it?? Dana J.: The package was damaged and I see the information was entered indicating so. I apologize, it states you refused it. Amy: But it wasn't even attempted so how can they mark refused because of damage? Dana J.: The damage was noticeable to the center. Amy: OH so what happens know? Timing was perfect as gift to husband who is out on a hunting trip...bummed Amy: The package I got today was damaged too but the product wasn't -I take it this one is mutilated? Dana J.: I know this is frustrating for you and because all additional details will be provided to the sender, I would suggest contacting them as well. Amy: okay - Amy: Does this end UPS part? Dana J.: Do you have any other questions? Amy: I have many but appears I must go to the sender? Dana J.: Yes, for any additional details on this package you would need to contact the sender. Amy: okay thank you for your time Dana J.: No problem. Thanks for contacting us. Dana J. has disconnected.

HEU UPS HAS A POLICY THAT IF WE SUSPECT A PACKAGE IS DAMAGED TO RECORD PKG INFO AS REFUSED-BRING PKG BACK TO CENTER SO IT CAN BE INSPECTED. THIS IS TO PREVENT BRINGING DAMAGED PARCELS TO CUSTOMERS

UPS has the worst customer service

UPS has the worst customer service of all. first attempt of delivery was unsuccessful so they give you a date and time of when is the next delivery is and when that date and estimate time comes, they don't show up until later which time is very important to customer because they spent that time waiting and they don't show up. What a terrible company that promise the customer in writing what they can do when they don't. what can brown do for you? deliver there promise and ship every package on time to customer so that UPS don't waste customer time which is very important.
