UPS in Irvine, California - Alton/Jeffrey - Poor Service

Terrible service, rude, wanted me to wait ages for the notary, even though people were coming and going after me, left after 15 minutes. People were complaining about the service while I was waiting. Google+ reviews for this store at 5405 ALTON PKWY STE 5A Irvine, CA 92604 are overwhelmingly negative. Turned out that the document I wanted notarized could not be done, so I wasted a significant amount of time driving to another UPS store on Culver/Walnut who were very helpful. I finally managed to post a comment on the main UPS website after searching for the word "complaint."

UPS

On the 18th December I called the 1800 UPS to ask the representative of my whereabouts of my package which was supposed to be delivered to san diego california. I told her that I already had one package which was lost now since December 2nd 2012, and i gave her one more shipping tracking UPS id and she said that there was no trace and that I was to ask the shipper, about it, The shipper CVS.com had already issued me a tracking ID online. She hung up on me very rudely when I kept wanting her to still check on it. That was really wicked of her as I had lost a parcel, beciause of this company and a couple more of parcels which is being shipped through UPS. I actually do not wish to use this company after this. I have another couple of packages sent through UPS and went to online chat to verify the tracking ID given to me by the shipper. These companies that I purchased products from are legit. To my surprise, she emailed me and said that she cannot trace them. Why do I have to call the shipper, they already had sent me the itinerary and tracking ID. UPS is paid to deliver the parcels so where are they. UPS has to answer for this, and they are not helping. They just do not care and the reps who answer the phone are rude and silly and unreliable. I will not bring my business to UPS and also I will find my packages even if it takes forever.

It goes from UPS -> USPS not the other way around.

UPS works with the post office to deliver their items(post office makes the final delivery) but doesn't pick up items from the post office.

UPS Services

UPS IS A VERY UNORGANIZED COMPANY. THEY HAVE RUDE EMPLOYEES AND THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL . I ENCOUNTER THESE EMPLOYEES AT 148 ALBERDEINE DR. FLORENCE SC 29501. TENESHIA AND PATSI WAS VERY RUDE. I ACCIDENTLY PLACED A FEDEX PACKAGE IN THEIR UPS DROPBOX AND CONTACTED THEM AS SOON AS I REALIZED THAT IT WAS THE WRONG BOX AND ASKED FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE IN OBTAINING THE PACKAGE OR GETTING THE PACKAGE TO FEDEX. I HAVE BEEN CALLING FOR WEEKS NOW AND KNOW ONE IS BEING HELPFUL AND THEY WERE VERY UNPOLITE. I CALLED FEDEX AND INFORMED THEM ABOUT THE SITUATION AND THEY ARE ASSISTING AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE AND WITH UPS ALL I GET IS HUNG UP ON OR SHORT TALKED.

I am not sure what you expect UPS to do. You made a mistake and have requested they use their time and resources to assist you when you are not a customer.

UPS - Useless

After paying extra for quicker delivery and assured that my package will arrive on monday it is now tuesday evening and UPS Sweden cannot 'find' where my package is, which means I cannot even go and pick it up. Apparently they have dropped it to another company to deliver as they are too busy. This company says they are yet to receive the package. NOw I am left to go on my christmas break without my important items that I was relying on having. UPS has failed twice to deliver on promises made to me. I have heard every excuse under the sun.. I will never use UPS again. Rudeness and failing to deliver on a service is not acceptable.

Obviously, the person who wrote about UPS being useless, and being disappointed TWICE with UPS, should NEVER use UPS again. Go directly to Federal Express or the US Post Office, do not pass Go, do not collect $200!

Two strikes, and UPS should be out!

Just as well I happen to have a small business account with Federal Express. I have therefore never bothered sending anything by UPS since the 20th century.

i did a online app tp aply for a holaday job with ups did there intervew and the orientaton i need some paper work i had to spend 80 dollers to go get i drove 200 miles and got it then came back at the end of the meeting with all of us they said wait to get a call from a drive to meet him ok cool well here i sit every mornin from 7 am to 10 am waiting and hoping to get a call from them well i gess the money i spent was for a job but was ment for x-mess thanks truely for a 18 doller pay check that did nothen but gave ups a tax wright off for hireng holladay help that realy wasnt used it so fun to get you'r hops up to not be abel to get x-mess for your son agen thank u for the wonderful job UP'S i hope u all at UP'S have a awsem x-mess NOT Dave Madorsky :)

UPS advertisement

The most annoying advertisement ever! The rolling out UPS advertisement is the reason I will never ever use this company. This "Roll over to expand" ad opens all the time. And then it is not closing. UPS, you have the worst advertisement EVER! Do you really think that annoying advertisement works? it's the first time any advertisement in internet has got under my skin that much. And there is no easy way to comply on it at UPS - you have to register to leave any feedback. So bad, it's the first time I see such a bad advertisement.

UPS to Canada

I have never used UPS to ship or receive anything in the past. I assumed that they would be professional in their service. I was not home at the time of delivery and received one of their post it notes. There was an unexplained charge on the bill. I tried to arrange so I could pick up the package. After becoming disgusted with their web site, tried to navigate it for 20 mins, I tried Live Chat. I was notified that I was the 13th person and my wait would be about 5 minutes. I then tried to call customer service. Another irritating experience that took 4 minutes of my life that I will never get back, only to find out I could not schedule a time to pick up MY package until the following Monday. Nothing about this company has been easy to deal with. I have never been so frustrated with a web site or attitude of a company as portrayed through their attempts at multimedia "Customer Service". I will try never to use them again.

Those charges are Customs and Brokerage, they are charged by the government and paid for by UPS in order to bring your package to you faster. You need to pay these charges in order to retrieve your package.

You don't need a time to pick up, just go down to the holding location and pick it up at your convenience.

This time of year, a 4-5 minute delay on the phones are impressively good. I can only assume you were intending to compliment UPS on having accessible customer support during the holiday shipping season.

Where did the package come from? If it came from outside Canada, then you are being charged a fee for clearing your package through customs.

UPS has a whole page on it's website that explains customs fees and clearance fees. It is your responsibility to understand the fees your government charges for importing.

How rude of them not to have a Live Chat person available just for YOU !

Even Ruder that they did not have dedicated line with a person twiddling their thumbs so when you called you could be waited on NOW !

Inexcusable that they are closed Sat and Sunday and you have to wait until Monday like everyone else !

Ummm...... the world does not revolve around you, sorry you have such a pitiful existence that you have to complain about such trivial things !

UPS zero customer service

horrifyingly bad experience with claims dept and non customer servive at UPS. sent my sister a CAST IRON LeCrueset oval baking dish. it arrived shattered,not just broken,but shattered.filed a claim,denied.they said improperly packed. I absolutely dispute that and that person is LYING. That same day I sent handblown glass plate and a bottle of wine which arrived intact. both packed the same but cast iron dish like it exploded. filed 2 claims, both denied, asked to have item shipped back to me,impossible, because my gift had been thrown in the trash, have called at 10 times,talked to customer service, claims, supervisors, corporate and my local store. Nothing ,not one single person could help. I am just completely stunned that this company and it's braindead employees could be so *** obtuse. What kind of horrible handleing shatter a CAST IRON baking dish. There is no recourse for me because my dish is in the trash.I am so thourghly disgusted I will never spend one penny on ups, this company is absolutely deplorable. I would be more concerned that you get on a public message board and admit to violating Federal Law.

Shipping any type of alchoic beverages is punishable by up to 5 yrs in the Penitentary, and $250,000 fine.

Not the best idea to admit to a Felony !

ups doesn't guarantee ground deliveries most of the month of December (as in there is no guarantee delivery date its only estimated). So if it was sitting in a hub for a few days thats what you paid for.

If not you could always call them and put a tracer on it.
