Where's My Package UPS?

I placed an order online as a gift for my wife. November 9 2012 my 10 year anniversary expecting for UPS to deliver my package overnight delivery, then I got an email saying they drop it off in front of my door but there was none. This was the 3rd time they did this to me. I called the company I ordered the gift from and they will replace the missing package, but as far as UPS they said they will investigate for the 3rd time!!! And never did got any answers from them why and WTF!! they do to my packages!! Never use them if you have a choice to use other couriers. I have to wait for another 5 days for my wife's gift to be replaced. Thanks for screwing up my 10 year anniversary gift UPS!!!!

I called them up and they said it's on time, I called converse and they've been having alot of calls and issues with UPS. They should not drop off packages if it's not signed for,, but then again ups mentioned it does not have to be signed, so that means the driver can just say they drop off the package and take it for themselves?

I dont know. specially if your ordering a $120 converse shoes.

Then again who em I to accuse. All I know is I paid for the item and I want my package deliver as promised.

Sounds as though you ordeered at the last minute, too bad you did not order a couple of weeks in advance.

UPS is a joke

I had a package that was supposed to be delivered today. The driver comes by, delivers 1 of 2 items I had ordered, and says that the other package is in his computer, but not on the truck. He says it might have been left at the hub or on another truck. I called UPS on their worthless customer service line, and I get the run around. They tell me its on the truck out for delivery, so I tell them that the driver came by, said it was not on his truck. Then I get oh, it might be on a different truck. I ask if there are several trucks on this route, but they don't know. I ask if there is a number to the local hub, nope, they don't know that either. Customer service was useless. They just tell me to wait and it should be delivered tomorrow. EFF that, I paid for 2 day shipping, it should be delivered today. No offer to deliver it early morning, no offer to waive shipping(Which I did get done on Amazon, a whole different story there). Last time I use UPS, period.

Using UPS to move my belongings was a diasaster

So much damage to my belongings, properly packed, that I didn't even pursue rectification....I haven't recovered enough yet. Do you know what it takes to dent in a Makita circular saw case in a box with foam? I shipped 54 boxes across the country most had damage. I worked for a moving co. and my packing still didn't spare me the results. They're like the old Samsonite Commercial with the gorillas throwing suitcases around except they use forklift trucks too!. Almost all of my packing beads and bubble wrap had been melted to my belongings...no kidding. It just goes on from there.

if the majority of your 54 boxes had damage, then i'm sorry to tell you, but you are not a good packer. packing for shipping compared to moving is completely different.

UPS !%$K me!!!! and not in a good way

Ordered a new cell phone through a great company, and UPS was supposed to deliver it next day. Tracked my package around noon and found to my surprise that the driver said no one was there by that name and it was deemed undeliverable, BS!!!! the driver never stopped by. So I called their call center and spoke with a rude customer rep and a manager or supervisor who had more attitude and disgust with people(great career choice ZOEY). Then after an hour I got a call from the local office and they told me my package would be delivered the next day, HAHA. So I check the tracking and they deemed it undelivered again!!! I'm in sales and my new cell phone was to replace the one that got broke and my clients who pay my bills cant call me. So UPS does not care for the customer or their needs. Do not use UPS!!! be smart and use FEDEX or DHL or even pigeons

UPS Truck in handicapped parking

Had to walk a further distane Ups truck in hdcp parking. Your commplaint process is too cumbersome. I plan to take this to a TV station if I don't hear from someone by phone. 724-553-****.I have pictures of the truck in the hdcp spot.Is this an acceptable practice for UPS? If so, it should be broadcast worldwide. If I don't hear from someone, it will be on Facebook, You Tube. This cannot be allowed. I will have a copy of this complaint, and the rfesukts, for the TV and Facebook so people can see if UPS cares.

Oh please. You had to actually walk.

The driver obviously had to make his delivery and had nowhere else to park. I am willing to bet it took him less than 5 minutes to get out.

Tv...lol.

Hey Andrea....get a clue...not everyone who uses a handicapped parking space can walk....some can only go a few feet...get off your high horse and get real...try living in a wheel chair because of someone else's mistake and see if you don't change your view....

United Parcel Services fixed its mistake!

United Parcel International Overnight service originally failed to deliver our group payroll package on time, this past Friday. Envelope was shipped from Ontario, Can. When I woke up, I logged in and saw only the top line of the status report saying package out for deliver by 10:30am Friday. After the stated delivery time passed, I pulled up the entire screen and saw that the package never left the Louisville hub. It arrived just before 2am, but was in US Customs section until 7am. It took over one hour of phone calls, eight in all, and more than a little intense phone talk, to finally reach someone high enough in the UPS system who would agree to get a change in policy and attempt Saturday service. The payroll arrived mid day Saturday and my sales team was elated. Still not known is why Customs did not clear the envelope for 5 hours.

UPS SUCKS

I've received packages via ups and fedex for more than 18 years on a weekly basis, as I home office. I never had a problem until the first of this year, when a package (a landline phone, no less) was reported as being delivered but none of us had seen it. UPS delivery guy came, told him that I didn't have package, we both talked about how we'd never had a problem before and so strange this one was a problem. It was a $43 phone, no less, nothing big or important or expensive. So... fast forward about 3 weeks. I found the box, it had been put into a packing box we were saving as we are preparing to move next spring. I immediately notified OfficeMax AND UPS that the package had been found, sorry about my mistake and issues. However, in the meantime, the driver of the truck had put a block on our address, we cannot receive anything unless signed for first. Regardless of the fact we have had - LITERALLY - thousands of packages delivered here with no problem, and the ONE problem we had was our own mistake, which we 'fessed up to, they are punishing us by making us be here every single package. In the past 2 weeks I've paid to have something shipped overnight, which didn't get to us in time because I was in the shower and couldnt' get to the door in time, or because they didn't knock loud enough to hear. From now on I will ONLY ship packages UPS that are HEAVY as *** and not needed in a hurry. Let the driver pay for his stubborness and stupidity. Everything that needs to be delivered in a rush, I will use Next Day Service via USP or FedEx, have not had troubles with either of them. So be warned - if you ever make a lost package delivery, even if a mistake is corrected, you will have to sign for every.single.box.that.comes, even if it was shipped overnight and the driver can easily see it was needed in a hurry.

THe driver has nothing to do with it. It is standard procedure by UPS loss prevention.

It is in an effort to make sure your packages are safely delivered. Keep after them and you can get it back to business as usual. Have some patience and don't hold the driver liable for what in fact was a problem you created.

UPS counts pennies dily and your claim cost them time and money. I know it sucks but that's how thar bean counters react.

Good luck and don't forget all the years of great service you mentioned.

UPS in capable of Logistics

I have a form filed with UPS to leave all packages - they ignore it. They were to deliver overnight express package - they left a InfoNotice claiming signature needed. Called their 800-833-**** - "¢ They cannot find the InfoNotice Number "¢ They cannot find a package for delivery to me "¢ They promise local facility to call me within 1 hr - no call after 1.5 hr "¢ Called back 800 - tell me they have talked to driver - cannot find package (last time they pulled this *** they sent the package back to sender and never tried delivery (so they can charge 2x and return costs) "¢ I am now required to get the tracking number and call back - last time they lost/returned the package they refused to tell me after getting tracking cause i was not the paying acct rep They have handhelds to update all delivery items - and claim to be logistics company but they cannot track the packages where you pay top dollar for delivery... One would think that thru the handheld - the InfoNotice would be correlated to the tracking number.... What incompetence and arrogance

Extremely patronizing UPS customer service rep

UPS sent my package back. I was under the impression that it would be held so I could pick it up in the next 3 days. I guess things have changed. They sent the package back immediately. Called customer service and talked to a extremely patronizing customer service rep. I work in customer service and even though this may have been my fault, I didn't need to be spoken to in the patronizing tone. They oblviously don't care if I ever ship with them. And unfortunately, I will have to stop buying from certain retailers since I will not be using UPS shipping. Others have told me that the UPS drivers were not as pleasant as they used to be. I didn't really believe this before, but now I think that all of this is true.

UPS cannot deliver

I've booked a collection with UPS which agreed to collect the item between 9 am to 3pm. They were not able to give me a slot of time. So, I had to wait. When 3pm came and UPS didn't I phoned customers' service which informed me it would be collected by 5pm. I phoned a number of times and each time I was told a different story. Your warehouse staff tried to tell me they had no means of communication with the drivers. I then asked about the automated tracking system. The excuse was the car had broken down. Laughable if not utterly annoying! I was promised by customers' service the warehouse would contact me which they didn't. I was then told the collection would be by 6pm, by 7pm and finally by 8pm. I was not able to speak with anyone anymore as customers' service closed for the day. At 8pm just before the customer's service closed I was informed the warehouse tried to contact me but nobody answered. It was a lie!! I was sitting by the phone. Clearly UPS is in the wrong line of business if cannot deliver/collect within 11 hours or admit they were not turning up. UPS is not apt to do its core business. Really unprofessional company with empty apologies. Businesses like Collect plus are growing and who knows big corporations will treat its customers better.

UPS Wouldn't Leave Package I Had Pre-signed for

I was to receive a package from Apple, I printed and signed the form Apple supplied Authorizing UPS to leave the package at my front door, taped it to my door. Came home to find UPS had written on my authorization form that they couldn't leave the package, that Apple required a signature in person. Apple didn't require a signature in person, Apple had supplied me with a form to pre-sign, which authorized UPS to leave the package at my door. I Called UPS, and they said leaving the package or not was up to the driver.

UPS - Might as well throw it in the street!

I bought a part online. I'm in a rural area - long driveways, lots of homes (mine included) can't see the road from the house. UPS "delivered" my package by tying it to a trash can out at the road! Sheer luck that I even went down the driveway to see it before it got grabbed by bored kids walking by. Oh, and in case you're wondering - the driveway is in good shape, no gate, dogs securely fenced nowhere even near the driveway, absolutely no obstacles whatsoever... And I telecommute full time, so I'm always home during delivery hours 'cause I'm working.

That's not that bad. UPS delivered a 10X16 inch canvas picture and left the box in the grass by our mailbox in a storm.

By the time we got home the wind pushed it in the street and we found it in the gutter being flooded with rain water.

Picture was ruined and UPS did not care. "They only were responsible for the delivery of the package."

Guest

a few questions...

How do you tie a square box to a huge trash can? I didnt know people carried ropes around..

He didnt throw the package if he tied it, so why would you insinuate that he threw it?

Why would kids want to take your trash. Bored kids would kick over your cans... This is in no way luck..

Im not saying what the guy did was right, but trying to make it look like fed ex throwing a computer over a fence seems extreme. Maybe the normal guy was on vacation, and the guy was afraid there was no turn around since the house is not even visible from the road....

UPS man knocks out my 10 year old Bichon for barking at him.

My Bichon who has approached and barked at this man for the last year or so, was barking at him. The driver did not stop walking so the dog followed him. The man waited for the dog to get close enough and then this 6 foot plus man back handed the 19 pound dog in the head with all his might using the scanner he uses on packages. The dog feel lifeless on the spot right in front of me. UPS refuses to do anything. 2 days later the man filed "aggressive " dog citations against us and now we have to go to court. The dog did not and never has bitten him. Now the UPS driver has been sending any of our packages back as "undeliverable." UPS refuse to respond to our request to have the man moved to a new route. They have been sent two certified letters to corporate from attorney's . No response! Great customer service! I posted on the UPS facebook but they took it down! You will only find glorious , wonderful things written about UPS on their facebook!

UPS - United Parcel Service Incompetence

Sewing machine company is shipping me an expensive unit after a repair. Our UPS delivery is via miles of dirt roads which are greatly damaged by monsoon rains. So I want to pick the delivery up at UPS.

So I call UPS and ask if they can hold the package at their service center for a customer pickup. Here are the results of 4 calls to their no-customer no-service center:

Call #1: "We cannot and will not hold a package. The shipper must do that." I respond that I first requested the hold from the shipper, who said I would have to contact UPS. "OK. Then the only way you can do this is online with the UPS "MyChoice" service. You need to go there.

So I go to the UPS website and find the MYChoice service. Then I sign up. It gives me the option of holding a package to be delivered. Woopie! I'm excited now! I click on the hold delivery link and the web site returns me to the signup page saying "You first need to sign up for MyChoice." I try this 3 times with the same result. So I try to sign up again: the web site says I am already a member of MyChoice.

Call #2: I tell the agent I am trying to hold a package and I cannot get MYChoice to operate. "So you signed up for MyChoice to hold a package, and now you cannot do that?" Yes. "When did you sign up?" About 10 minutes ago. "Oh, you can't use MyChoice until 90 minutes after you sign up." OK. Well as a customer, it would be nice if you put that information on the web site. "I agree."

So I wait 90 minutes and try the MYChoice hold again. This time it responds, "This delivery change request cannot be processed. Please contact UPS for additional information."

Call #3: Tell UPS agent I'm getting an error with MyChoice. "Of course! There is no way for the recipient of a package to place a hold." So instead of asking this guy why the "hold delivery" link exists on his web site and telling him what all the other agents have said, I ask to speak to a supervisor."

Call #3 the Supervisor: I describe what I am trying to accomplish and what agent #3 has said. The supervisor goes into a long diatribe about how the agent is correct: only the shipper can order a hold. So then I explain that my real issue is that two other UPS agents said otherwise. I tell the supervisor that everyone is giving me different messages, and the customer (me) is very confused. The supervisor responds: "Well, technically no one can order a hold until a package delivery has been attempted. But I can request that the package be held on the day it is to be delivered." So why didn't the agent tell me you could do this for me? "Because the agents are not allowed to give out that information; only a supervisor can." Well, can I just call the local UPS center and make this request. No, we do not give out those telephone numbers." At this point I tell her I feel I am experiencing ZERO customer service and will be doing all my future shipping with FedEx.

I would love for someone to explain what I just wrote. I was actually there on the phone for these conversations"”and I cannot even begin to understand what UPS told me!
