UPS in Cheyenne, Wyoming - Never Get Your Package On Time

I just signed up for Amazon Prime and honestly I'd love to keep paying for the service, but I would rather cancel after a year because of poor service - not on Amazon's part, but on their chosen carrier - UPS. I never ever get anything I order on time, even though I have someone waiting for the package each time I know that a package is arriving. I signed up for their "My Choice" but it doesn't even help at all because they don't even come knocking on the door. I'd think twice about online shopping and just go for the brick & mortar at this rate. You'll never get your packages on time.

Not sure if you are aware but even though you purchase your products from Amazon, that doesn't mean that they ship it out. There is a seller behind it that can send it from anywhere.

Even though Amazon requires for them to ship it within 24 hours from the sellers location, sometimes they create the label but don't actually ship it out that day. This is neither UPS nor Amazon's fault...

UPS rushing but not delivering

I found 'missed you' sign high above eye level on the glass NEXT to my door, meaning not on my door and not eye level, so if I don't go look for it, I won't even know it's there! I'm 5'4", average height, not particularly short but it seems the sign was meant for me to miss it was posted so high. How would I know to look for it? Well, when I check my online tracking and it says delivery attempt was made! Yet I didn't hear any door bells!! This has happened 5 times now, so I'm writing this complaint! There was another 2 incidences that I saw the UPS guy running back to his truck while I got down the stairs, not knowing they were delivery to my door or my neighbors. Another time, after staying home specifically to wait for the delivery- the UPS guy knocked and was ready to run off, again without ringing my door bell. I had to chase after him to get my package! I missed another shipment today, again, found out from online tracking. Went to my door and there it was the 'missed you' sign. I WAS home! Then I recalled hearing something two hour ago. Recently my neighbors been doing some interior renovation. We are in a condo complex. UPS guy again didn't ring door bell. He probably knocked, but it sounded like sounds from my neighbor's construction since I was upstairs. I heard that UPS requires their workers to only stop briefly at each delivery, but not ringing the door bell is just RIDICULOUS! Don't they realize that if they would just try to delivery properly they'd save the time of having to do 2nd and 3rd attempts to the same houses???!

UPS in Brooklyn, New York - Wrong Receipt=Bad Company

So, my package just arrived today, and obviously, I opened it, and to my surprise, the receipt was in fact not for me, but for someone named Daniel Krumenaker in Michigan. Fortunately, the items that I did order were there. However, this mistake has brought to my attention that UPS is an unreliable company that messes up a lot of shipments. In addition to a wrong receipt, UPS actually opened my box and so "inconspicuously" (that was sarcasm) and hastily duct taped it. And really? I really have to write a minimum of 100 words? -even more pissed now- All in all, UPS is really bad company, I don't understand why some online stores use it to ship their products.

UPS handles 11 million packages a day. There is no need nor time to open packages, as you have suggested.

Secondly, UPS employees that handle these packages do not have access to computers that allow for a receipt to be created. Nor would they have time to.

Finally, UPS does not use duct tape in any part of the operation.

Seems like the company you ordered from might have sealed your shipment incorrectly, opened it and.resealed it before sending it out to you.

UPS doesn't pay insurance

1za3578t0377734894 UPS Tracking number ....I brought a pair of expensive sunglasses to a UPS Store it had them package it seal it ship it and insured it ..The recipient claims the package was empty and threw away the package. UPS claims because he threw away the package there is no insurance claim therefore no payment when they are the ones with packaged it. I find it incredibly hard to believe and I'm very upsetthis is pretty poor insurance to say the least....my opinion is don't use UPS...they are very poor company when it comes to insuring packages even when they package it at this point I don't know if the UPS employees took them or the recipient...but I'm out a lot of money

I tracked the shipper number you provided. UPS has sent a driver 3 times to your residence to see you and you have not been home.

The claim is still being processed! I say BS to you being so mad.

So the driver risking his life is justified ??? 1 life for another is okay, what about his/her spouse, kids ....

HYPOCRITE. Weather is unpredictable. Gripe at your state/local road crews and accept natural occurance.

I dont like UPS so I use other sources. That driver had important packages for EVERYONE, not just you who were inconvienced.

UPS in Gaithersburg, Maryland - My Chistmas Present to Mom Never Arrived

Update by user Jan 28, 2013

My mother finally got her Christmas gift on Jan 4th. I had to call and call, and complain and complain.

No one seemed to care that I had ALREADY provided all the information necessary to make the delivery on time by Dec 19th. The original location where I had the gift shipped did NOT provide the APT # on the packing slip and I was not given the slip to review.

It was very busy in this store (UPS store) that day and only ONE person was on duty after 10AM. So UPS will never get my business ever again and I will tell EVERYONE about the POOR service I received.

Original review posted by user Dec 28, 2012

UPS has totally disappointed me and I will NEVER use your shipping services AGAIN. I shipped a package to my Mother from Gaithersburg, MD to Charleston, SC, on Mon, 12/17/12. It was to arrive on 12/19. It did NOT arrive. I contacted UPS through the tracking # and learned that the APT # information I provided to the store clerk was apparently not on the shipping label. I called UPS on 12/26 to give them the CORRECT Apartment number and they still got it wrong. In addition I filled-out the Exception Change online with ALL THE CORRECT information, as well, along with my phone number and my Mother's phones. The gift meant for Christmas was to be delivered after the Apt correction on 12/27. It was NOT DELIVERED, because ONCE AGAIN the person that was taking the information made an APT # mistake. I think there is a BIG DIFFERENCE between 03 (zero) and D3. I have done EVERYTHING that I was suppose to do from filling out the Shipping form correctly with all the RIGHT information to making calls to be sure the improper information was corrected. I paid $14 to ship a package that didn't even weigh a pound. I'll use FedEx from now on even though their office is out of my way.

UPS ruins birthdays

On 12/14/12, I mailed a package to a friend for her birthday. It cost $20 to send. She texted me on 12/26/12 on her birthday saying she rec'd a 2nd attempt notice and that she would go pick up the package the next day. On 12/27/12, I tracked the package on the website and it said "Returned to Sender." I called ups and they said they attempted 3 times to deliver package and it was now being returned. I told them only 2 attempts were made and they can leave it at the facility for my friend to pick up. They said it had already been picked up to return. I did not request a signature but they still would not leave the package at her door and now she can't get it and Ill have to pay another $20 to send it again but I will not be using UPS. Ever again.

UPS in Pueblo, Colorado - Poor service

UPS delivered a replacement printer and left it outside my open gate, sitting precariously on a fence post. When I sent to return the original printer, I wanted a tracking number as I want to be sure the printer manufacture gets the old one back. I took it to 2 UPS stores, neither would give me a tracking number. I have spent over 24 hours trying to find a drop off place for UPS that will give me a tracking number. Right on the web site it claims two times as many stores as FedExp. All I can say is ***.

UPS in London, England - Such an incompetent service

UPS run such an incompetent service, which is also leading me to submit a formal complain with them. I recently ordered an item worth £600 ($942) from Amazon, the item was sent from Amazon's warehouse and collected my UPS to ship it to the UK (from the US). However, UPS failed to scan the item and therefore did not activate tracking and to my disbelief UPS ended up losing my item. Yes, I wasted a day waiting in for an item that as never going to arrive in the first place. Amazon then had to send out a replacement item, granted, their service has been much better up to now, but on the morning of supposed delivery, my tracking states it has missed "Scheduled connection" and will have to be delivered tomorrow instead. Yet again, another wasted day, not to mention I'm going to have to waste tomorrow as well waiting for the item to arrive - I'm not even confident it will. UPS have been absolutely useless, they run such an incompetent, disgraceful service that I would advise you think twice before using. First they lose my item, then they decide not to deliver it on the supposed delivery date, therefore I've had to waste three days for this item to be delivered and believe it or not, I have a busy life from day to day. Not to mention their support service is just awful.
