Ups too slow and expensive

Ups taking 6 Days!! To deliver from washington to oregon. 16.25 for the same package that could have gone USPS priority and made it in 1-2 days for 6.25 Businesses stop sending me stuff ups!!! They are expensive and slow. I love waiting the whole weekend to get something I could of had on Saturday. It seems they have been Getting slower and slower but business owners are too lazy to do a USPS pickup or go to the post office. I like the drivers but the big brown is just that, a big brown slow turd anymore!

UPS in Gainesville, Florida - Broke my fishtank and won't pay to replace

I had a friend ship me a fish tank from Boston to Florida. When it got to my house the side panel that was at the bottom of the box was caved in. I filed a claim over 2 months ago and it's hit a dead end. Every time I contact someone they have no answers for me. I have been told they're waiting on paperwork for months. This is the last time I use UPS and I'm going to exhaust every effort to get the money to replace the fish tank THEY BROKE. Maybe I'm crazy but I believe if you break something you should FIX IT!!!!

I know it must be upsetting that you have a broken fish tank however, you must remember that at UPS as well as FedEx, its all about packaging items correctly. Although you or your friend might think you wrapped it correctly, it might not have met UPS standards.

Once you file a claim, this will be the first thing they investigate and will cause your claim to either be denied or approved. Damage can happen with any carrier, not just UPS.

UPS ignorance

I have three incidents with this company and from now on am going to ask the shipper what company they use to get the product to me. The first time UPS was used I ordered a cello and even stopped by the store and told them to not leave it on the porch and I would pick it up the next day since it was out. The stated that since it was a large package they have to bring it back...and guess what I found on my porch in 100 degree weather, that's right my cello. Second, thing I ordered they said the came to the house three times ( I was there all three days) knocked and no one answered. This time they said they left my contacts on the porch and nothing at all! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!

Hello. In the future, you can try calling UPS at 800 742 5877and ask them to hold yourppackage for pickup at your nearest UPS building.

Or, you can register for upsMyChoice for free at UPS.com. With this service, you have control of your shipments.

UPS 2-day air did not arrive on time

Airline ticket was sent via UPS 2day air on Wed Dec 26 for arrival on Friday Dec 28, but did not arrive in time for reserved SWA standby reservation. Since standby tickets are so limited around new year holiday, the seats are no longer available when UPS will deliver the ticket on Monday afternoon. No help from 800-service or local UPS office. UPS could have sent it overnight when they had a mechanical breakdown and realized the letter would not arrive on time. Next I will use FedEx. To make the trip I had to use milage-based ticket on AA, which fortunately still had some room left.

UPS in Wyandanch, New York - Shipped to the wrong address.

I ordered a backpack from urban outfitters on christmas. Since it was a holiday I had to wait the next day for it to be officially shipped. When it finally shipped i began tracking my order. Yesterday it said my package was delievered and signed for. However, I didn't receieve anything. I had to call UPS and complain. I was told they were going to pick it up and bring it back to me. How can they confuse two completely different addresses? Also, why sign for a package that clearly isn't yours? This is just absolutely extremely ridiculous!

UPS in Cheyenne, Wyoming - Never Get Your Package On Time

I just signed up for Amazon Prime and honestly I'd love to keep paying for the service, but I would rather cancel after a year because of poor service - not on Amazon's part, but on their chosen carrier - UPS. I never ever get anything I order on time, even though I have someone waiting for the package each time I know that a package is arriving. I signed up for their "My Choice" but it doesn't even help at all because they don't even come knocking on the door. I'd think twice about online shopping and just go for the brick & mortar at this rate. You'll never get your packages on time.

Not sure if you are aware but even though you purchase your products from Amazon, that doesn't mean that they ship it out. There is a seller behind it that can send it from anywhere.

Even though Amazon requires for them to ship it within 24 hours from the sellers location, sometimes they create the label but don't actually ship it out that day. This is neither UPS nor Amazon's fault...

UPS rushing but not delivering

I found 'missed you' sign high above eye level on the glass NEXT to my door, meaning not on my door and not eye level, so if I don't go look for it, I won't even know it's there! I'm 5'4", average height, not particularly short but it seems the sign was meant for me to miss it was posted so high. How would I know to look for it? Well, when I check my online tracking and it says delivery attempt was made! Yet I didn't hear any door bells!! This has happened 5 times now, so I'm writing this complaint! There was another 2 incidences that I saw the UPS guy running back to his truck while I got down the stairs, not knowing they were delivery to my door or my neighbors. Another time, after staying home specifically to wait for the delivery- the UPS guy knocked and was ready to run off, again without ringing my door bell. I had to chase after him to get my package! I missed another shipment today, again, found out from online tracking. Went to my door and there it was the 'missed you' sign. I WAS home! Then I recalled hearing something two hour ago. Recently my neighbors been doing some interior renovation. We are in a condo complex. UPS guy again didn't ring door bell. He probably knocked, but it sounded like sounds from my neighbor's construction since I was upstairs. I heard that UPS requires their workers to only stop briefly at each delivery, but not ringing the door bell is just RIDICULOUS! Don't they realize that if they would just try to delivery properly they'd save the time of having to do 2nd and 3rd attempts to the same houses???!

Sounds like the drivers are stopping by your house but have missed you. Sign up for UPS My Choice at ups.com. This will allow you to have control of your shipments.
