UPS in Wappingers Falls, New York - Forced to wait 18 hours

UPS changed my delivery date at the last minute, put the items on its truck at 6am, then did not deliver them. I was forced to wait at home fo 12 hours. Then I called and got a 2+ hour run around from them, in which they claimed that they could still meet their obligation if the packages were deliverd by midnight. I have never heard of such a claim and it was not disclosed in advance. Even when they eventually committed to a specific time for delivery, the driver didn't show. UPS claimed that it could not contact its own drivers and had no way of locating its trucks. How do this company stay in business when it treats its customers like this?

OMG you had to wait. Things happen.

What if the original driver had an accident and died? No delivery date with UPS is definite unless you pay for express overnight delivery.

Update by user Feb 07, 2013

After arguing with whomever I managed to get on the phone for 2 days, I wrote on UPS Facebook page. One of the PR dept.

employees contacted me, and listened to my story.

After further investigation, they accepted to send my package to Turkey for no cost to me. I am...

UPS "Adverse weather conditions"

I ordered a GPU from Newegg. The package took a while to ship, but once it did, it was expected to reach El Paso by the end of the day, January 07, 2013. It has reached El Paso. At 7:00 am, my package reached El Paso. Instead of shipping out, the package was delayed at 9:00 am due to "Adverse weather conditions." I looked out my window to see if a blizzard had sprung up while I was in school. It was a cloudy day and the snow from a few days before was almost completely gone. I don't know why they delayed delivering my package, but it certainly wasn't "Adverse weather conditions." I'm not losing money, but instead, time. My package was already delayed by Newegg, so this is only adding onto the experiences of a disappointed customer.

UPS in Romulus, Michigan - Bad delivery

Driver placed (3) parcels by side door, in snow, directly in front of door. Had to go out front door to get to the packages as the door would not open without knocking top parcels off. Did not knock or ring bell and I was sitting directly in front of picture window, next to front door - with larger, snow cleared porch - had I not seen truck leaving I would not have even looked out that door to get parcels after dark. I do realize that drivers are on a tight schedule but would have been much simpler to just come to front door - I was waiting for delivery and would have opened door by the time the driver arrived. I am 71 years old and am disgusted with the decrease in services - prices go up and quality of service decreases.

If you care about your money and sanity, and if you want the package you send to be actually delivered to the receiver with no ***, UPS should be the last company you should use.

The unprofessional conduct of business, disrespectful customer center employees, lazy delivery truck drivers who are too indolent to get out of their trucks to leave an info notice sticky notes on the recipients' doors, and delivery center managers who talk to you as if they are too busy to be bothered by you are just a few negative characteristics of this company.

I wrote a letter of complaint to UPS corporate headquarters, AND send an e-mail to their customer service just to get insulted. Going back to my main point, if you want to be treated with respect and get your money's worth, STAY AWAY FROM UPS.

Less drivers and more deliveries. Tight schedule about covers it.

UPS Idiots.

I ordered some items online through a huge mail order company. I had them ship the package 2nd day air. After 5 days of watching my package get further away from me, I called UPS. They told me it was shipped by ground service, and would be delivered today from the hub it was currently at, which was 200 miles away from my home address. Now they wont do anything to reimburse my shipping fees or get me my package, and of course you cant find someone with a brain in cust service. Apparently reading skills are not required to work at UPS.

UPS - Left delivery notice without ringing doorbell or processing the notice

I waited all day in my apartment for a package. In the last hour that the delivery could happen I go outside to wait for the truck and find a delivery notice. The driver obviously didn't ring my doorbell and didn't scan the package so I didn't get the updated tracking info. He didn't even activate the notice he left so I couldn't reroute the package because he apparently is going to deliver it first thing Monday while I will be at work. I call the UPS call center which takes 20 minutes on hold to reach someone instead of the 7 they projected. The woman who answered the phone didn't even try to explain what happened but said the package went out for delivery on Thursday (today is friday). Since I waited all day for the package instead going to pick it up myself today I will have to wait until tomorrow. They don't even have a way of taking complaints.

UPS NEVER PAYS FOR DAMAGED ITEMS..PERIOD

THEY DAMAGED A MICROWAVE AND REFUSED TO PAY ME, THEY SAID IT DIDNT HAVE BUBBLES AND THEREFORE WILL NOT PAY, I SENT HUNDREDS OF MICROWAVES THROUGH THEM BECAUSE I AM A SELLER ON AMAZON AND THEY HAVE A CONTRACT WITH THEM, HUNDREDS OF MICROWAVES AND THEY MESS UP ONCE AND WILL NOT HAVE MY BACK, I ALWAYS "DECLARE VALUE" SO I PAY EXTRA SO IN CASES LIKE THIS UPS SHOULD HAVE MY BACK BUT NOPE, THEY WILL NOT PAY, AND I ALWAYS SEND ALL MICROWAVES THE VERY SAME WAY , IF BUBBLES WERE THE CASE , ALL MICROWAVES WOULD BE DAMAGED RIGHT,?! WELL THEY LOST A GOOD CUSTOMER BECAUSE THEY WERE MAKING PRETTY GOOD MONEY OFF ME, NOW IM WILLING TO CHANGE TO FEDEX I HAVE A FRIEND THAT DOES THE SAME FOR LIVING AS ME AND TOLD ME THAT FEDEX DID PAY AND DOES PAY FOR DAMAGE CLAIMS, I JUST WISH THERE WAS LIKE A BIG LAW SUIT AGAINST UPS I FOR SURE WILL JUMP ON THE WAGON, REALLY FEEL TAKEN ADVANTAGED OF...FOR NOW SAVING ALL PROOF OF THIS INCIDENT, DONT USE UPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVER!!!!

UPS Truck in handicapped parking

Had to walk a further distane Ups truck in hdcp parking. Your commplaint process is too cumbersome. I plan to take this to a TV station if I don't hear from someone by phone. 724-553-1967.I have pictures of the truck in the hdcp spot.Is this an acceptable practice for UPS? If so, it should be broadcast worldwide. If I don't hear from someone, it will be on Facebook, You Tube. This cannot be allowed. I will have a copy of this complaint, and the rfesukts, for the TV and Facebook so people can see if UPS cares.

Oh please. You had to actually walk.

The driver obviously had to make his delivery and had nowhere else to park. I am willing to bet it took him less than 5 minutes to get out.

Tv...lol.

UPS in Leicester, England - Awful Service

I order a PC from Lenovo, UPS tracking stated that the PC would be delivered by close of day on the 3rd Jan, so I worked from home and waited in all day. It didn't arrive the tacking updated at 9pm to arriving the next day the 4th Jan with no reason. Again I arranged to work from home, waited in all day at 4pm the tracking was updated to say they had tried to deliver but I wasn't in which was a lie I had waited in all day and no card was left. Delivery man clearly wanted to go home early. No explaination as to when it will be delivered now, charlatans.

UPS shipped to wrong address, NO HELP

I have a vehicle that requires a special radiator that aren't that easy to find. I finally located one, believe it or not, on Amazon and ordered it, and of course it was shipped via UPS. I was able to track the item and actually signed up for it to text me on any change in status. I received a text stating that my package had been delivered to my home at 6:42 P.M. ...hmmmm... I'm home, have been home, and no one rang the doorbell or knocked on the door. So, I checked my front porch, nope, no radiator. I then walked the entire street of my neighborhood, thinking the driver had mistakingly delivered it to one of my neighbors. ...wrong again. I immediately contacted Amazon and they also showed that it was delivered. After being on hold with Amazon, and UPS for quite some time, the lovely lady at Amazon offered to call me back after she had contacted UPS. She called me back later and told me that she had discovered that the package had been delivered to my address and asked me what apartment I lived in. What??!! I don't live in an apartment! I live in a house within a normal housing addition. If you put my address in your fancy little GPS, I assure you, it will bring you directly to my front door. She told me that UPS showed that it had been delivered to my exact address...and to building or apartment 5X! The local UPS district was to contact me the following morning by 10 A.M. in an attempt to remedy the problem. I assumed that they would attempt to retrieve my package and deliver it to me that following morning. In an attempt to speed the process, I called the customer service number to UPS the following morning at 8:30 and asked if she could provide a local number for me to call so they could figure out where my radiator was. She told me that the number was not to be released to the public! What the ***? Let me get this straight, millions of people in this world with shipping or receiving issues and they have but ONE number to call to get help?!! She told me that it had been noted in my file that the local office was to call me at 10 A.M. ...so I sat and waited. Guess what!! No call by 10 A.M. ...meanwhile, some jackwagon who resides in building or apartment 5X of some apartment complex in some God knows where location...has my radiator sitting in his house about this time laughing his *** off at his good fortune and the poor *** (that would be me) that has paid out the *** for said radiator! Oh, ...and Amazon is out of stock. They have offered me a refund but now I'll wait for another week or more to try to find another radiator. Let it be known, that I have no ill feelings towards Amazon at all. I have received nothing but help from them with this issue and their customer service is absolutely top notch. UPS dropped the ball on this one, as I have found after reading several hundred complaints about them that I am not the one lonely pissed off consumer! I guess for any future online purchases, I will have to check to see who they use to ship their items before deciding to purchase it.
