UPS in Jackson, Tennessee - Broken package, missing items and BAD Customer Support.

I ordered a package of loose bullets from Cabela's. It should have been 10 boxes of 100 rounds each. I get home, and the wife tells me there is a problem with the package. 1st off, it looks like a gorilla on crank loaded this thing! The air bags securing the rounds are popped (from some sort of impact, and the side is split out of the side of the box. The return label inside is a mangled mess and THEY STUFFED A ROLL OF UPS STICKERS INSIDE THE BOX IN THE SPLIT!!! So, not only were they aware there was an issue with the package, they didn't give a *** and delivered it anyway knowing they damaged it. Then, when I tried to call customer service, I was told by a less than useful automated call system that there are no humans around to address this issue, and to call back during bankers hours essentially. Filing a claim online was just as painful. If you don't fill out EVERY box (like my company name...I DON'T OWN A COMPANY,HENCE NO COMPANY NAME) it keeps kicking you back. Not to mention, you have to register on the site to file a claim, which is complete horse-s**t. Also, they may want to pick the package back up for "inspection". WTF is this?!?!?! You screwed my package up once, UPS, now you want to take it AGAIN for round 2? I'm astounded this company remains in business.

ups has csr on duty 24/7, it's unfortunate you can't figure out how to operate a simple automated systemn public school education?

in any event your package wasn't packed properly, you can't expect an air pillow to support 10+# of dense items and i would bet there weren't enough of them even if they thought they would help.

lastly, you can't file a claim, you are not the shipper, you did not pay for the declared value coverage, therefor you are not entitled to be reimbursed by ups for anything.

your vendor (cabelas) is to blame for poor packing, they are the ones you paid for the items, they should reimburse you and file a claim with ups if they see fit.

UPS in Jacksonville, Florida - Lost Stolen Packages

Within the last year My family has had a total of 4 separate package shipments, lost or stolen. The most recent incident was a 11 Jan delivery. Why doesn't UPS care if I get my package or not? I'm reaching the point where I'll never purchase a product from a company that uses UPS. It is really that bad. I have talked to several co-workers and friends, they to have seen an increase in lost or missing shipments. They have additional services you can pay for that will ensure delivery why should a consumer have to pay extra to get their stuff?? I see this as a continuing problem, that UPS needs to address now. I am telling everyone I know to not buy from companies that use UPS.

UPS in Port Elgin, Ontario - Golf clubs never arrived for vacation!

Shipped golf clubs by UPS in advance for golf vacation. Shipping from Ontario to Florida. Clubs were held at customs because paperwork was not satisfactory. I filled out customs declaration and all documents requested by UPS. Needless to say no golf clubs put a real damper on a golf vacation. When I got back to Ontario UPS proved to have no customer complaints dept and just keep passing the buck and will not even return the $123.88 I spent to ship the clubs. I will never try and ship my clubs ahead again and I warn others not to. Needless to say UPS will never see my business again.

Does Canada Post control how long your mail sits in customs?

Neither do shipping carriers here. Blame customs, or yourself.

UPS in Doylestown, Pennsylvania - Poor customer service and stolen package

Gilbert id# Tus8ach and Antoine id#7486 gave extremely poor customer service. My package was stolen and they still delivered an empty package. Not only was it late but when I called for answers or a solution to this problem all they can say is "I don't know" now i have to come out of pocket $300+ for a replacement. UPS has not reimbursed my shipping fee. FED EX it is from now on! I spent a whole day contacting them and it was a total waste of my time and they expect me to take this loss. UPS should just let FED EX handle shipping products since they obviously can't handle the pressure.

UPS Tracker Incorrect

Update by user Mar 29, 2013

As of 3/29 this issue was not resolved by UPS. The sender (tmobile) eventually sent me a refund after much hassle.

Original review posted by user Feb 26, 2013

I had a package coming from T-Mobile with a scheduled delivery date of 2/25/2013 via the UPS tracker. The package was set for "Will Call" since I knew I would not be at home. On the 25th, the tracker showed package as being in city where the hub station was located. I called to verify it was ready for pick up. Customer service agent told me that it was. I get their and that Newport News facility told me that it never arrived and that their scans show that it never left Richmond, VA!. So what my UPS tracker says is incorrect from where the package actually is!! What? I was told it should come in "tomorrow". Here it is 2/26, "tomorrow" and my tracker still shows Newport News and out for delivery. It is a WIll CALL package so it would not be out for delivery. I called the Newport News station and agian they say that the package is not with them and that the last physical scan they have is on 2/24 in Richmond, VA. Wow!! So the new response is that the 2/25 guranteed date was wrong and it should have been the 26th. That I would have to wait until tomorrow morning, 27th and then I can get T-Mobile to do a package investigation. This is absolutely horrible. It's as if my package is in limbo somewhere and they have no clue where. I'm very very agitated by this!

Got an email from this website asking for an update on this UPS matter! Well it never got resolved.

After much hassle from the sender I finally got my money back. UPS never called to say anything about the lost package and that tracking number no longer works or shows up on their website.

Hmmmm...isn't that interesting. I think I'd rather have my stuff delivered by USPS than "Brown".

UPS broke almost every item in 6 boxes The denied all of my claim and will not even honor the insurance I paid for. you cannot get a hold of anyone to talk to about it. each box came with tons of damaged items- lots of china from my grandmother more than 50 percent items were damaged in each box - cannot believe how they managed it, I had packed everything with bubblewrap and cardboard in between they must have thrown each box. I hope each one of thier family members and their belongings are treated exactly the same way they treated me. very disappointing and sad - horrible ethics

I've packed and shipped over ten thousand pieces of china and the only time anything broke was when a train they were being transported on derailed. There's a right way and a wrong way to pack fragile things. You did it the wrong way.

where is the styrofoam loosefill? your boxes are not properly packed; they are better than nothing, but not by much.

ups is not a moving company, they are a shipping company. i have shipped literally hundreds of pieces of china, glass, vintage fragile items, and never had even so much as 1 piece break.

you learned your lesson in packing, unfortunately too late... learn to pack, ask questions if you don't know and even you can ship safely.

if you live in the type of neighborhood where things go missing from the front porch, then UPS won't leave it without a signature. would you rather they leave it and then it gets stolen? also, zappos may have requested a signature.

Sour looking UPS guys

I live in Lower Manhattan between Saint James and Madison Street. Whenever the UPS guys come to deliver, no matter how polite I am to them, they go out of their way to look mean and angry. I will thank them and wish them well as they barely look at me and appear as though they want to bash my head in if I say the wrong thing. I wonder sometimes if these are the Rikers Island reform program ex-cons. I am homebound,in a wheelchair and always home. Yet I will check my Delivery status go from "Out for Delivery" to "Customer not home" within minutes after 7PM. Always after I've waited until 7PM.

Some people have the type of face that just doesn't look real happy or friendly. Furthermore, some people don't like to make small talk. The whole object of UPS is to get the packages delivered, not to be friendly and sociable.

Ridiculous supervisors at UPS won't deliver

Last year (or year before?) I ordered a phone from Office Max. I forgot about it, a while later I thought I hadn't received it so checked, Office Max said it was delivered. Checked with husband and daughter, didn't receive it. Turned into a 'lost box' - talked with Delivery guy, I receive dozens of shipments for years, have NEVER had a problem until this one. UPS eventually settled with Office Max. A few weeks after this happened, I found the box - we have been boxing up things, storing some, donating some,e tc. Someone thought it was an empty box and threw it in the closet, where I found it when I went to get an empty box. I immediately notified Office Max that I had found the phone, it was my error. I thought this straightened things out. T HUGE ISSUE: Now I have been placed on a Must Have Signature for Delivery list. I called 1-800-UPS to complain, was told it was up to the Delivery Guy, he choses if it should be placed on that list. Talked next day to Delivery Guy, he said that wasn't true, needed to talk with his supervisor. I called his supervisor, who told me it was up to National. Told him National said it was delivery, delivery said it was supervisor -- angry now and going to complain. He said his supervisor was on vacation, he would check with her. I kept getting Need Signature notices on my door two more weeks, thought supervisor should be back. Called to complain again when I got next Need Signature notification on door. Supervisor said he'd check with his supervisor and get back with me. He never got back with me. I've tried to ignore it, but this senseless regulation is making life *** on me. I home office, and oftentimes the things I am receiving are for my job. But if I'm in a meeting anywhere along the Wasatch Front, I can't sign for my boxes. Often times delivery isi personal -- it doesn't even matter -- when pay extra to receive shipment in two days but don't receive it for five because I wasn't home, it makes me ANGRY. Nobody knows who has to take it off the list. As I said, I receive, on average, three packages a week between UPS, Fed Ex and USPS - the only one that requires a signature is UPS. Because of a misplaced fricking $40.00 landline telephone, which, when I found it, Ii reported it immediately to Office Max. I got home tonight to yet another Signature Required from UPS< but there was a package from Fed Ex neatly placed on step for me to get when I got home. What is the sense in this? What needs to happen to take my name and address off the Must Have Signature list from UPS? I cannot always choose my source of delivery, but it has now come to the point that, when I can, no matter how much difference I am going to pay to have it delivered by anyone but UPS if this is not changed. Again - there has been ONE complaint that I did not receive merchandise since I moved here 18 years ago - and it was my mistake which I rectified as soon as I found out it was our error. I am being penalizied by your company. If this is not changed, I will stop all deliveries via UPS - I am not home more than I am home now, and I simply cannot wait a full to receive a package via UPS because UPS requires a signature due to one problem with a delivery. I have tried calling the national number again, and receive, "I'm sorry, I didn't understand" when I try to request customer service. I tried sending an email and can't send one because it has nothing to do with setting up an account or ordering supplies. I tried calling local again, and I'm sure because they have Caller ID they don't answer my calls. Could NOT be angrier tonight - I don't buy online to inconvenience myself by having to be at home at certain hours for delivery from UPS. The other carriers have no problems or restraints on delivering to me - why does UPS? If I don't get a response to this within 3 working days, I will post to Facebook and Twitter, and have my college daughter as well. I've never been this annoyed and bothered by a supposed service industry. Our last post was disseminated and seen by 737 people within 48 hours, by the way.

UPS in Cleveland, Ohio - Dont own up to damaging pagkages

I went to the ups store with two packages they contained antique pitchers . one was heavier than the other. took them in the store and asked if they were packed well enough, while handing the boxes I told her how they were packed. I put bubble wrap around the pitcher and put paper in the bottom and then put 3 inches of packed peanuts around the item and packed them on top and the women said they were packed good.(If there is not enough peanuts I purchase more.) I sealed the packages. She sent them out. The heavier pitcher made it fine but the other one did not. The buyer was really mad it was a box of shattered glass. I refunded her money she sent it back to me,(so i am out $$) when I got it the box had *** on both sides of the box. what ever poked through hit the pitcher and it shattered. I called ups they sent someone out to pick up the box. She told me not to open the box, I explained that the women sent it back to me ups and that there was *** on both sides of my box. two months later I am still waiting for a response. I called and she told me that corporate denied my claim and they said there were no visible signs of damage to the box and it was not packed properly.I told her that her employee ok'd the packing and I explained that the person who bought the item from me repacked and she probably just threw it in there it was too late to be careful because it was in pieces. I also explained that there was *** on both sides of the box , she acted surprised by that and said do you want to dispute it I said yes she got back to me a few days later and she was then told by corporate that it didn't have enough bubble wrap around it and peanuts are used as a buffer. I was not allowed to corporate she wouldn't let me have the number to talk to them. I asked for my box back and she said they discarded it I told them they had no right to discard it they didn't buy it they didn't own it what gives them the right to throw it away. (my only guess is to distroy the evidense of the holes in the box.). Her response is that no one ever ask for their item back. and she is sorry. I said maybe you should go ask the woman that ok'd my package being packed right and maybe she would like to tell the truth this time. She again said she was sorry. will not ship ups again they rip you off.
