UPS Cares? No they don't!

My company, a small family owned business, ships internationally using UPS. On November 26th they asked if I would be needing a pick-up on the 28th (day after Thanksgiving), I said yes. On the 28th a package destined for Chile needed to go out, but UPS did not come. I contacted them at which time I was told there would be no pick-up. I asked if I could drop the package off at the local UPS store, and was told it was too late. Frantic, I offered to drive to the regional service center but was told not to bother as they would not accept it. The only option was to schedule a Saturday pick-up at a premium charge. This for a package that was already costing my customer $356 to ship, that's correct $356! They wanted to charge me even more to make up for their screw-up. Oh and not one word of apology. You would think they were form the IRS.

Ups and how do we get rid of this ocmpany?

How do we get rid of UPS? I've had problems w/ them 6 times due to the loser drivers they hire. Something should be done w/ this company. I think all consumers should put their heads together and find a way to make this company go out of business. I would also like to know why don't companies online list carriers so we the consumers have options of not having UPS deliver but instead FedEx, DHL and USPS. Something needs to be done. I'm not even going to go there on customer service. They Suck!p BDavis

Try not to live at a homeless shelter. Makes it difficult to deliver packages to you. ***.

They made me wait and showed up 5 days later...

UPS made an attempt of delivery two times the same day, on the 14th nov, just letting me know the second time, then to leave a note telling they would come the next monday, in between 10:30am and 5pm. I waited all day long, leaving the main entrance of the block open all day long with a note for the other tenants, and even tuesday they would never show up. I called UPS to tell them the phone of the Janitor so they can can him to pickup the delivery, then they came next friday the 24rth and left no notice and send back the package to its origin, I had to call the FIDO company to know the tracking number and be aware what happened, then they are sending me another phone, I asked them to send it by post Canada, I still have to wait for the 5th of december and I am losing my best gigs of the years, cause I am a musician and was expecting important contracts for december. And my granny died in the hospital last week, I couldnt receive call from her and the family... UPS as in UPSet!

Unlawful Inspection of Parcel

I have had a parcel at ups since payment was made on Nov. 5. Ups will not deliver saying the cotents is empty and needs programming. When has it become policy for Ups to first illegally search parcels if not threatening contents and offer instructions as to what you need to do? My payment was acknowledged on the 11/5 and UPS is still holding saying I need to submit money for programming. I smell a rat, my parcel is being held illegally. Why was I not told before of an additional fee, I think because of cohort fraud. (programmer and UPS)

Wont deliver to locked hallway

For over 10 years our regular UPS driver has a key to our building and puts our packages inside secure hallways. OR, if we signed the release slip they would leave the package. Now POLICY PROHIBITS them to leave the package outside and they rotate the drivers so much most of the time the regular drive with the door keys is not on the route. SO, we must now drive across town to get packages when someone, either me or the shipper, paid to have them delivered. 2 calls to UPS continue to go unanswered and a personal complaint at the local center go unanswered.

Delivering packages to wrong adressee

I am so aggravated at UPS it isn't even funny. Well last night the UPS came to my drive way and turn around I tried to yelling for him and he kept going. Then tonight I was standing on my porch waiting on them again, I seen her drive by so I walked to the road to try to stop her when she went back by. I was yelling and shining my flashlight to try to get her to stop. Then I jumped in my vechile to chase her down to see if she had my package, but she told me she dropped it off at my house but I know that was a lie because she never did stop. How can you drop something off some where without looking at the package or the addressee you are dropping it off at? I will never use UPS again.

UPS is not good customer service

I was wondering when i came to my shop and see the notice from UPS that was on my door fence and the parts which I was waiting so long and rush towards the UPS local office and find out wher is my parsal but the rude they gave me the 1800 number. any way I Call the ups corp office and I ask them call the driver where is my packet and I would like to pick up then they told me come at 8.30 pm I was surprise my parts they carried all day and I asked them find the driver let me go get it where ever he or she is I will give them my information but they are not sure where is there employee

Lied about delivery

I stayed home all day on thursday 10/30/08, as I was awaiting three packages from UPS, they never arrived, so on friday I checked the tracking online and it stated they were left at my door on thursday, which they were not. I tried to contact UPS and they will not respond, not sure what to do next but this company *** and I would rather pay another company that's more reliable. I tried to contact the company's I purchased from, so far only 1 responded and said it was my problem because UPS says the packages were delivered.

I think you should have gotten a parent to help you give them your address. I have a feeling that you gave them the wrong address. Children as young as you should not be ordering packages in the first place.

UPS has bad drivers

While driving in San Rafael, Ca. a UPS driver cut me off and entered my lane, I had to break in order not to hit his truck. When he saw I was writing his vehicle # down, he changed lanes and swirved around traffic to try and get away. I followed him onto the freeway and confrmed I had the correct number of his vehicle. I've looked everywhere online to try to attempt to report him, no doubt he probably has numerous complaints. I have a feeling that that is the way they drive, to get packages delivered. They know people in nice cars won't hit or let them hit us -

Laura, that's too weird.

I'm in Lawrenceville and am searching for some way to complain about idiotic UPS driver behavior. There is no way it would seem.

I'm not using your service any more. You have no system for driver accountability, and for a company that is based on road delivery, this is inexcusable.

I just witnessed a UPS driver double parked all vehicles in front of my apartment and when a lady honked a couple of times to get some attention, while being blocked completely, he came out from some where and signaled a big "what the *** you want" with both hands and went back to where he came from.

The poor lady waited for 10-15 minutes...

Very Rude Drivers...

I just experienced a similar incident but this driver had no shame or remorse! On 5/26/09 at approximately 6:15 PM, I encountered a UPS driver (Truck #135564) behind a shopping center at Hwy 20 and Old Peachtree Rd in Lawrenceville, GA.

The driver behaved recklessly and in an immature and unprofessional manner. When I honked my horn to let her know I was there, she honked back and "blamed the victim" for her carelessness.

When recording the vehicle number, she jeered and mocked me. This driver should be reprimanded and trained to represent UPS as a professional.

UPS is guilty!: Of ripping off their customers!

My story is similar to many. I shipped a medium sized birthday gift package to Canada from California. It got to the address very quickly but the driver asked for $118.00 in total fees! The recipient refused since the package was worth $60.00. I called to ask why and the mess has unfolded to 3.5 weeks of confusion. Now they claim they have lost the package and are performing some kind of "search" for 7 days. If not found I will be reimbursed for the cost of the purchase and shipping. They have ruined their business with me and I suggest using Fed Ex for shipping to Canada from the US since there will be no surprise fees and errors like this. "What can brown do for you?". *** is what my answer is. Be warned!

UPS & Allied Interstate

UPS smashed a package & I refuse to pay them the shipping for the smashed package. In fact, since the package was insured, THEY OWE ME MONEY. I filed a damage report twice, and UPS claims it still doesn't have it. After months of phone calls trying to get this resolved, UPS sent the $30 charge to Allied Interstate. I got a threatening letter from Allied, and it says to contact them to tell them if I dispute it, but I can't. The phone number 866-207-**** puts you on hold with music, then disconnects you after 1:04 minutes. They obviously don't want to be contacted. So I've decided to file an FTC complaint against UPS & Allied. If anyone has different advice on how to stop this, please email me. Thanks. surfnsand@***.com

UPS *** and Lies!

I paid for overnight shipping of a law book I needed for the following week. When the book didn't arrive, I called the company. The book had been returned to the company because supposedly no one was home to receive the book. To the best of my memory, not only was I at home, but so was my husband. The driver did not leave a note that he had attempted delivery nor did he leave the package with a neighbor, as is customary. BUT, the best part is, when I tried to file a complaint with UPS, "Juan", informed me that there was no way to file a complaint because the driver did not leave a package. When I was requested a supervisor, I was put on hold, and lo and behold! the line went dead. I would be an *** to use UPS again for anything

I went in to the ups store # 2504 in NV. was yelled at by "May" and the owner.....

I wanted to fax some papers and May took them. Didn't answer my question about the price. Just faxed them and told me I owed them 14.50. Plus, when I questioned the price. She told me she'd be happy when I left the store. If you want to be mistreated, yelled at or over charged just go to 5546 Camino Al Norte North Las Vegas NV. store # 2504 and have May or the owner help you. And your sure to get mistreated. Also if you just want to mail a letter. Don't go there they, curse at you for using there mailbox.

UPS - late deliveries - no responsibility!

Dont use UPS! Use DHL instead. I recently sent a business related package by UPS Overnight. Paying their premium prices. They did not deliver until 17 days later. When I contacted them they took no reponsibility. They made no effort to rectify the situation. They just don't care. They didn't even have a reason why it was late. They will not be liable for any late deliveries. Why bother sending it overnight? You will just be wasting your money. You cant trust them to deliver on time, once it is in their hands, your screwed. I will never use UPS again. USE DHL or Fed Ex instead.

United parcel service/staples charge for insurance and will not pay

staples took a box over their counter, united parcel service, their partner, destroyed it, refused to payout for the damage they have done because the recipient simply threw it out. THEY AGREE THAT THE DELIVERY DRIVER TOLD THEM THE BOX WAS DESTROYED, THEY AGREE THAT THERE WAS A A 3RD WITNESS FOR THE CLAIM BUT REFUSE TO PAY. DO NOT BUY THEIR INSURANCE I BELIEVE THEY ARE LIARS AND THEIVES. Go somewhere else. I had a similar situation many years ago when they kept on taking the info for a claim down and shuttled me from 1 department to another and eventually I gave up with the claim because it was too difficult to get a straight answer from this company. Fed ex charges less, as does DHL[ I have heard from sources], Fed ex clearly charged me less on my last ground service package.
