UPS in Houston, Texas - Rude and incompetent service

I waited at home on a workday to receive and sign for a package of expensive wine shipped from California. The UPS deliverer came by and without ringing the doorbell left an "info notice." I called UPS immediately upon discovering the notice and was told I can get my package at "will call" at a station some 5 miles from my home--I had to go there between 7:10pm and 8:00pm that day. I got there at 7:00pm and waited 45 minutes. The rude and incompetent service attendant said that my package wasn't in will call afterall--but he told me this after I had been waiting! Now, I will need to go there another evening and hope against hope my package will be there.

UPS - Clothing Items Stolen From Package

For Spring Break I am going on a ski trip. I didn't have any of my ski gear so I asked my Mom to ship it to me. I am currently in college and live far from home. My Mom packed the box up to the brim with dried goods, my Northface ski jacket, ski pants, fleece leggings, socks, Goretex gloves, new Jcrew wool sweater, and new jcrew oxford shirt. The total weight of the package was 15.5 lb. When I received the package from my school post office it was significantly lighter. When I opened it up, only the dry goods remained. At first I thought my Mom had made a mistake but upon closer inspection I saw that there was curry powder everywhere inside the box. I tried looking for the burst curry packet but it was gone. That was the one food item that was missing. It became obvious that someone had cut into the bottom of the box, in the process puncturing the curry packet, and removed the clothing items. Additionally, the tape at the bottom of the box was ripped confirming that the box had been tampered with. It is just infuriating that this kind of thing could happen. The sweater and oxford shirt are no longer sold and I doubt we will get full compensation from UPS. The terms and conditions indicate up to $100 compensation regardless of the contents of the box. An "inspector" is going to be contacting me, but this is just unbelievable. The box my Mom sent me had no labels indicating the contents, which makes me wonder why anyone would have the intent to steal the contents. UPS should be responsible for the actions of their workers!!

Hello, This is Manpreet k sheabat here i was supposed to receive the Package that my friend got shipped on my address on Feb 27 which would be third attempt.That day was supposed to be my working day and class in the evening ,the time on my door slip says UPS will be here in between 2-5:00pm they never came i missed my class kept sitting there and calling UPS when they will be here.eply at 6:00 "mam around 7:00 pm we will be there".Reply at 7:00pm"sometime we deliver till late our driver is still delivering packages he wil be there around 8:00pm".Reply at 8:07pm "he is still on the move he will deliver it for sure and at that time they offered me if i can put in the request for pick up .My question was "will it effect the delivery for today?"the answer was"oh no mam he will still try to deliver today".He never did because i waited till 10:00pm for them to deliver the Package.End result:I missed my class,drove across city to pick up package next morning where there was detour and i was late for work next morning.

UPS in Calgary, Alberta - Delivery service

Ups came to my door i did not hear the door bell. So they a delivery notice. First attempt and it said i would have to pick it up at crowfoot location. I got nothing but a run around. It is still on the truck. Well saw a ups truck go down a street near my house. So why could they have not DELIVERED IT. I thought it was after attempts. I would not remand this company to any one I want my package as as possiable.To me they are being arogant. This has spoiled my weekend. connie, if you communicated with ups as poorly as you have here, it's no wonder they weren't able to do anything for you. get a grip, sweetie.

if your package was on a car and they made one attempt during the day, they won't reattempt that day because they have 100 more customers to deliver to. and the car you saw near your house may not even have been the one with your packagen ups centers generally have more than one.

UPS in Memphis, Tennessee - Employees stole $7000 worth of gun parts

Package was being shipped across country. It arrived at the Memphis hub and was scanned in 2/20/2013. On 2/21/2013 after the sorters night shift the items were missing and the box disposed of. Did the person filing the report dispose of the box? How many were on duty and did they bother to talk to any of them? After talking to no less than 6 "customer service" reps they can not find any(not 1) of the parts or the box. They would not let me send a photo of the part to helpthe hub manager find the parts. I'm out $7000 and they are covering. Google UPS theft to understand how big the theft problem really is. We paid apx $47,000 in UPS shipping charges last year. Looks like Fed Ex will get our business this year.

UPS in Jackson, Tennessee - Broken package, missing items and BAD Customer Support.

I ordered a package of loose bullets from Cabela's. It should have been 10 boxes of 100 rounds each. I get home, and the wife tells me there is a problem with the package. 1st off, it looks like a gorilla on crank loaded this thing! The air bags securing the rounds are popped (from some sort of impact, and the side is split out of the side of the box. The return label inside is a mangled mess and THEY STUFFED A ROLL OF UPS STICKERS INSIDE THE BOX IN THE SPLIT!!! So, not only were they aware there was an issue with the package, they didn't give a *** and delivered it anyway knowing they damaged it. Then, when I tried to call customer service, I was told by a less than useful automated call system that there are no humans around to address this issue, and to call back during bankers hours essentially. Filing a claim online was just as painful. If you don't fill out EVERY box (like my company name...I DON'T OWN A COMPANY,HENCE NO COMPANY NAME) it keeps kicking you back. Not to mention, you have to register on the site to file a claim, which is complete horse-s**t. Also, they may want to pick the package back up for "inspection". WTF is this?!?!?! You screwed my package up once, UPS, now you want to take it AGAIN for round 2? I'm astounded this company remains in business.

ups has csr on duty 24/7, it's unfortunate you can't figure out how to operate a simple automated systemn public school education?

in any event your package wasn't packed properly, you can't expect an air pillow to support 10+# of dense items and i would bet there weren't enough of them even if they thought they would help.

lastly, you can't file a claim, you are not the shipper, you did not pay for the declared value coverage, therefor you are not entitled to be reimbursed by ups for anything.

your vendor (cabelas) is to blame for poor packing, they are the ones you paid for the items, they should reimburse you and file a claim with ups if they see fit.

UPS in Jacksonville, Florida - Lost Stolen Packages

Within the last year My family has had a total of 4 separate package shipments, lost or stolen. The most recent incident was a 11 Jan delivery. Why doesn't UPS care if I get my package or not? I'm reaching the point where I'll never purchase a product from a company that uses UPS. It is really that bad. I have talked to several co-workers and friends, they to have seen an increase in lost or missing shipments. They have additional services you can pay for that will ensure delivery why should a consumer have to pay extra to get their stuff?? I see this as a continuing problem, that UPS needs to address now. I am telling everyone I know to not buy from companies that use UPS.

UPS in Port Elgin, Ontario - Golf clubs never arrived for vacation!

Shipped golf clubs by UPS in advance for golf vacation. Shipping from Ontario to Florida. Clubs were held at customs because paperwork was not satisfactory. I filled out customs declaration and all documents requested by UPS. Needless to say no golf clubs put a real damper on a golf vacation. When I got back to Ontario UPS proved to have no customer complaints dept and just keep passing the buck and will not even return the $123.88 I spent to ship the clubs. I will never try and ship my clubs ahead again and I warn others not to. Needless to say UPS will never see my business again.

Does Canada Post control how long your mail sits in customs?

Neither do shipping carriers here. Blame customs, or yourself.
