Military family undue stress!!!

My family flies to Germany for a 3-year tour in 2 days. We have a family pet that needed time sensitive documents stamped by the USDA vet services. I over-nighted the documents with the payment on Friday for a Monday by noon delivery. At 4pm Monday, there was still no delivery. The package was put on the wrong truck! I cant tell you how tired I got of hearing "someone will call you in response to your urgent message within the hour"!. First, I only got 1 call back from 4 urgent messages. Second, I got told that if it didn't get delivered by the office closing time (4pm), it will be held til the next business day and will be there by noon. What?!?!?..... Tuesday is our LAST day to get this done! We have no home, no household goods, and we leave in 36 hours and I need this paperwork in hand at the airport check-in! In the end, the package arrived at 430 (the daily pick-up time). Wouldn't it have been less stressful to just say, their daily pick-up driver has it and it WILL be there today??? Now, I have to drive 2 hours to pick up these documents myself because there is no time for the prepaid over-night return. UGH...... I will NEVER use UPS again!!!!!

'Cause you don't seem real bright.

How did " the package arrived at 430 (the daily pick-up time)" AND "that 4 hour delay meant delivery after the USDA's closing"?

Your self contradicting nonsensical rants are fun to watch though.

I'm starting to fear for the safety of your children though. You need a zoloft. I was worried about your husband for a minute there, but then I realized he's getting plenty on the side to make life with you bearable.

Sad to be you, I guess. Buck up princess.

Look I have a son serving in afghanistan, I get the stress military and their families have to endure, we appreciate your service...but...what a freakin baby you are...shoot you're not even going to a combat zone. Pffftt.

While your sacrifices are appreciated, make no mistake, ups moves MILLIONS of packages a day. Ocassionally one will get missorted and end up not making a time deadline, yours missed by four hours, bummer. File for your guaranteed service refund. They still did deliver that day and frankly you planned poorly if you waited until the last second something that could possibly delay your move. Ever hear the saying "poor planning on your part doesn't necessarily constitute an emergency on my part"? Think about that and take it to heart.

Thanks again for your service and God bless.

First off, who the *** are you to call me a baby! I have been an Army wife for 16 years and dealt with multiple 'war' deployments since the 9/11. Dont talk to me about having the right to complain! I have more than earned my right to vent

and complan about any *** thing I please! Oh, and we are gearing up to do another 'war zone' within 30 days of reaching our new destination. Don't for one minute "military mom" think you know squat about what the military life is like. If you dont want to hear a complaint, THEN DON'T READ IT!

AND FYI..... this particular paperwork, by international guidelines, CANNOT be completed by your own vet until a minimum of 10 days prior to flight!

... Not my poor planning you ignoramus!

You are a whiny baby/drama queen. Sniff, sniff.

Let's get this straight...you had 10 days to do the paperwork and you waited until the last day, right? Yeah, poor planning on your part.

In the real world a 4 hour delay on a package delivery shouldn't cause "undue stress" nor the type of unhinged rant(s) shown here. Perhaps you need some psychological help. Here's a hint...most people take responsibility for their mistakes. It appears you have been on the government teat too long and have adopted their ways...pass the buck much? Get that the from the current commander in chief?

I know in your self-entitled world that your sacrifices mean more than those of everyone else, but well, they don't. I mean you have "earned" what exactly? Learned to ride on the coattails of your husband's work and sacrifice(s)? And you know more about "military life" than everyone else in the world? Ha! Sweetie, that's a good one.

I salute your husband, pray he comes home safe during his next combat assignment and hope you learn some day that in the real world, it's not all about you.

You want to talk about psychological help?!? You are the one with nothing better to do than troll on this website to shoot your mouth off when you don't agree with a strangers opinion.

While you are starting an argument due to MY self entitlement, take a good long look in the mirror; assuming it won't crack. I did this process 8 days prior because my vet couldn't see me before then. AND that 4 hour delay meant delivery after the USDA's closing!

Yes, I do presume to know real military life more than a mommy. You simply miss your kid; I as a wife with children, hold down an entire household keeping things running and as normal aa possible for my babies. You willow NEVER understand what that is like... for that you are lucky!

So it is you that sounds self etitled and all because you birthed a military man who is now grown and his own entity. You take the credit for whatthe your son does protecting this country.... how sad! Ho find yourself a real life lady, and stop presuming to know about *** that doesn't even concern you!

Numerous reports, numerous supervisors, still nothing

I've been fighting with UPS about packages not being delivered when they were scheduled since I opened my business 3 years ago. This morning was the 3rd time I've spoken with a supervisor because the driver posted that my store was closed on Monday as a the reason for not delivering my package. They can't seem to fix that note in their system and I'm sick of it. The supervisor today told me my package was never on the truck and it couldn't be retrieved from the trailor. She was no help and I waited on hold for almost an hour to make the report. I've had many other issues, but this was the last straw. I'm paying extra for Fedex delivery from now on.

Rings the bell and runs!

The door bell rang this morning. I walked over right away to answer the door, only to find the yellow slip on the door and the truck driving away! - not even 5 seconds after the bell was rang. The yellow slip had already been pre-filled out in advance. This has happened in the past as well. There has been times where I was at home all day only to find the "missed you" slip on the door at the end of the day - no attempt to ring the bell ever! I am extremely unhappy with UPS, and will do everything I can not to use them ever again!

Speeding driver on Viewmont Drive. Rude driver!

Today a male UPS driver drove recklessly through our neighborhood. It is 2:10 on 680 SW Viewmont drive. I signaled him to slow down. He screamed out at me..."Do you even know what the speed limit is???" He then sped away around a blind corner. My neighbor was a witness to his rudeness and obvious speeding. Well yes, I do know the speed limit and he was driving over that limit. I know this is a busy day for him, but children play on this street and there are blind corners. If this were an isolated incident I would not complain. But, It is the norm and his rudeness was unjustifiable. Please let me know your actions on this or for now it is USPO.

UPS POOR SERVICE

I live in an apartment complex. UPS REFUSES TO DELIVER TO MY DOOR ON THE THIRD FLOOR BUT WILL ONLY PUT A NOTICE ON MY DOOR THAT THE PACKAGE IS HELD WCM. There are several UPS sites in the surrounding area and even with the tag number I can't find where it is being held. Most times the package is returned. I HAVE SENT REPEATED NOTICES TO UPS AND HAVE POSTED A NOTICE ON MY DOOR TO DELIVER PACKAGES TO THE APT OFFICE IF I AM NOT HOME. UPS CAN'T READ. THEY HAVE TO PASS THE OFFICE TWICE TO COME TO MY DOOR. Use the United States Postal Service for professional service. Michael Hankinson

Package offloaded from airplane

My girlfriend from the UK sent the package on January 13. It entered my country on the 15th but the tracking said it was offloaded from the airplane so I waited for an update. But my package never moved, and now it's the 18th and still no update. I tried to email them asking for an explanation but never provided one. We chose UPS Express Saver but it has been 6 days! So slow. And even if the plane offloaded my parcel the first time due to unforeseen circumstances, doesn't UPS have a back-up plan? Can't they just board it on a different plane? Does it really have to stay in their facility for 3 days? What the ***?!

It could be sitting waiting to go through Customs, and UPS has no control how long it could take to clear Customs.

Guest

Does it have to sit for three days? Possibly.

Depends on where you are.

I notice you state specifically where the package originated, conspicuous in its absence is your country/ location.

For instance, if you are many smaller third world countries or smaller towns, or even in a second world spot, it's quite likely there is not a fleet of flights headed to your backwater location.

How many flights arrive and depart ny? How many depart and arrive from lima, Peru?

And how many arrive/ depart Choma, Zambia?

The real question is not how long should it sit, but what estimate was she given for total transportation and how realistic was that given your shabby living situation.

UPS drops at office. Never leaves a note

EVERY single time I have a package come to my apartment. The lazy UPS person just leaves a package at the front office. They NEVER leave a note. In cases where I dont know a package is coming I never receive the package. Total laziness and I sick of the delivery person. I will confront this person next time I see her or him and I am not sure how it will turn out. It is not the office responsibility to call every person who gets a package. This person NEVER leaves a sticker. Sick of UPS. They will pay when I see them.

Customer who never rceived packages

I was out of town on vacation and apparently UPS supposedly left packages in front of my door which I never received and am now being charged for on my bank statement. UPS should be responsible and make sure someone is home or leave a tag to pick up the package after the client returns from vacation. The merchandise is showing up on my bank statement and I have no idea where it is. QVC should have done their due diligence and made the packages signed for. Now I have to make a police report and try to get credit put back in my checking account!

How is UPS any bit at fault here? It sounds like QVC it the one to blame. They shipped you things that you didn't know about. Right?

Unless the shipper opts in for additional services like additional Declared Value (Insurance) or a signature required, they are only paying UPS to deliver it to the address. Not to a person.

It's obvious that someone stole it!

Guest

Lets just guess the shipment was left on your front porch on Tuesday and you came back on Saturday.

Sitting there several days?

Hmmm....

Could be a person came along and swiped the stuff from the front porch, most likely.

Now you have the nerve to try and blame UPS when they in fact did their job ?

YOU should have made arrangments to have it sent to the place of employment, a neighbors, or waited until return from vacation to have the merchanndise shipped out!

Miklos Miq

I must agree with the other posts. UPS provides tracking for a reason.

To tell you when it is going to arrive. People complain whether they leave a door tag or not!!

Sara L Xph

Have to agree with other post, it was YOUR responsibility to make arrangements for your deliveries, you placed the orders right? You knew you had packages coming, how is it UPS's fault?

Guest

This is you fault, alone. You knew you had a package coming, and QVC always lets people know the approximate date of delivery.

You shouldn't have went on vacation. Live and learn.

UPS Driver grabbed my ***

I was outside of Subway and putting quarters into a newspaper machine when a UPS driver walked behind me, grabbed my ***, and said, "hey there baby". I was so shocked are scared that I didn't know what to do. I called my husband and he told me to right down the license plates of the UPS truck and call the police. The police are looking into it and going to contact me soon. Has anyone else ever had these union thugs pull this ***? The driver's are not only lazy, but now they do these types of things. These parasites should be shutdown.

The same man that raped my sister and one of here friends works as a driver for UPS. He was convicted of raping my sister's friend, but he wasn't convicted of raping my sister because my sister was to traumatized to go to trial.

That guy SHOULD BE IN PRISON.

Sure, make me travel to 105th st. Brooklyn. Time to put my money in my sock!

Requested they leave my package on my doorstep on "my ups." They didn't.. requested they bring it to a ups store for $5... They didn't... They failed to do this 3 days in a row and then I obliged and went to *** 105th st brooklyn (1 hour from both my office and my apt.) on the corner of Rapey-Rapey and No-Escapey. Google says they're open until 8, but when I showed up at 7 they told me that for some reason they close from 6:30 until 7:30. So I waited until they re-opened at 7:30 only to hear that my particular kind of package cannot be picked up past 6 o'clock. Why the *** is my "parcel" different from anyone elses?? *** you, United Parcel Segregation! Anyways, after waiting 2 minutes on a dial tone with the particular facility a woman who picked up was kind enough to break the rules of the already broken rules and let me pick up my package, but warned me not to show up unannounced... Now, having learned of the shortcomings of UPS, I tried to avoid this with a package I just recently purchased online without a choice of courier service I am dealing with the exact same problem and their customer service verbatim "can't do anything about it." How does this company deliver ANYTHING, to ANYONE, with a job. AT LEAST DELIVER ON THE WEEKENDS, if your company is too incompetent to deliver at flexible hour on weekends!! For the love of god, give the receiver of the package more options. If they can prove they are the intended recipient, then there is absolutely no reason not to. And for some unholy reason should you decide not to change your special needs business plan, a least allow for a one-on-one complaint department. Because you've obvilously been filtering your online complaint emails into your spam folder. *** you UPS. I will do my best never to you use you again, and hope that your entirely inadequate service will make you fail miserably.

Delivery Date Confusion

I had a package that was to be delivered to my home on Wednesday, June 26. However, knowing that I was going to be at work that day and since it was an expensive item that I did not want sitting out, I called to ask if the address could be changed. (The package was in Columbus OH at that time). I was told I had to do it online. After hours of fussing with their website, I finally got the address changed. What they didn't tell me was that it would delay the delivery by a day--when I won't be at the new address. And they charged me $5 for the address change. When I called their "customer service" agents, all expressed sympathy but no one would do anything to compensate me for the inconvenience of having to rearrange my schedule to suit them. Not to mention not having the package delivered on time. This arrogant company needs to be taken down a few pegs. They think they are too big to have to listen to customers. They are wrong.

UPS Lied to Me to make a Sale

On June 19th 2013 at 2:18 p.m. I mailed a package from the UPS CC located at 200 George Bishop Parkway Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 29579—7336 Phone number 843-236-****.

The package weighed approximately 11 pounds and the dimensions were approximately 14”x14”x10”.

The package contained a total of $275.00 in gifts for a friend of mine in the Czech Republic.

The people in front of me were waiting approximately 20 minutes when I arrived and I had to wait approximately 10 minutes. During this time there was absolutely no one from UPS to be seen as the counter was not staffed.

I am a 100% Service Connected Veteran and I had my Service Dog with me at that time.

When someone finally arrived there was a line. I waited patiently until it was my turn. The UPS employee then told me that I had to go to a computer and fill out the mailing information. I did as she instructed.

I was not able to fill out the form as I was not able to comprehend some of the information. This is part of my disability due to a head injury sustained in the Military. At this time there was a second person at the counter at UPS. It was embarrassing but I explained to her and apologized for having to ask for help on the computer and explained to her that I have some difficulties at times because of my disabilities. She filled out the form for me.

Horrible Customer Service!

I sold a TV and sent it through UPS. The TV was brand new and still in the original packaging. The driver dropped the TV when delivering it. Now the customer that bought the TV is pissed and sent the TV back. I have to pay him back. They have sent me around the corner and back trying to make it my fault why the TV got cracked and dented. This was a $800 TV and I paid them $150 to ship it. Now they are telling me that "they can't help me". I have never experienced this before in my life. I spoke with someone name Giselle and she was completely rude to me. Her direct number is 1-80*-789-**** ext 4623. She had an attitude and continue to make excuses as to why it was my fault that they dropped the TV. This is ridiculous. I will NEVER ship through them again.

Terrible customer service!

I have quarterly deliveries that require a signature. Each time, I have to go in and spend an hour fighting with the website to get the delivery left at will call. I have an account, I have My Choice, but its always a nightmare. Today, I gave up and did an online chat to ask them to please send it to will call before it was returned (2 days of trying to get it re-directed). The chat contact tells me.."Well, I will re-direct this one, but in the future you just need to refer to My Choice on the website and handle it on your own.." Really? If it worked, I would have! I tell her that I do this a good bit, and I am not a ***, but it wasn't working and there was no option for will call - it just kept taking you around in circles. I get back "OK". Horrible service, both via technology and a real person!
