If you used the tape he sells, he has every right to charge you the full cost. Also, if you reached across the counter and grabbed his tape, he also has every right to charge you.

When you walk into someone's business, you don't own the place. If you had asked if they could tape it up for you, they might have done it for free, but when you grab and use something without asking, you're going to make employees upset.

Also, store owners have no control of their shipping prices, as those are set by UPS. Likewise, the fuel surcharge and delivery area surcharge are set by UPS; the former is a percentage of the total cost set at the beginning of every month, and the latter is a fee added if the area being delivered to is far away from UPS centers.

CMS fees are what the store is charged for printing a label.

You're just cheap

The UPS store is a RETAIL franchise. The owner controls the costs of his store. Next time, BUY a roll of tape from him instead of reaching across the counter and using THEIRS.

UPS SUCKS and they lie about delivery

I have been waiting for a package that was due to be delivered on July 19th. Following their "tracking info" they stated they didn't have my "apartment number", even though there is no apartment # listed on the tenant roster, only code #'s. I contacted UPS and was told to contact the shipper and ask for an "exception". Did that, address was corrected and 8 days later, STILL NO package. Even though their info said they received the correct address info, all of a sudden, it went back to "address info incorrect unable to deliver". I have spoken to UPS multiple times now and have now been told it will be delivered EITHER on Monday July 29th OR Tuesday, July 30th. What kind of company IS THIS? NEVER, NEVER use UPS, they lie over and over and over again. Their tracking info means absolutely nothing. I'm so tired of hearing "I'm sorry", I want my darn package delivered. NO EXCUSES!!!

UPS - Can't delivery on-time or backup their "guarantee"

This company is not capable of backing their "guarantee" of delivery and take no accountability for their mistakes. I paid for express delivery and was assured that it would be delivered Friday 7/26. Of course delivery time comes and goes with no word what-so-ever from the company to inform me of the delay. Then, when I call around 9pm (2 hours after their predicted "deliver by" time") I'm assured the driver is not allowed to go home without all the packages on the truck being delivered (my package was placed on the truck for delivery at 8:15am). More than 9 hours after my package was loaded I'm being told they have no idea where my package or their driver is but to keep an eye out because it will be delivered. So, imagine my surprise (and extreme irritation) when I call at midnight, after still not receiving my package, to be told that it has been rescheduled for... Monday. That's right, despite their "guarantee" they can't even deliver today after they made the mistake.

UPS in Charlotte, North Carolina - Delivered broken glass on the front porch

OK, I was not totally surprised that UPS delivered a box marked fragile that contained glass in it totally broken. I was surprised that the driver didn't have the common sense to re tape the box they totally destroyed allowing for shards of broken glass to be poured out on our front porch. A great gift for a family with small children who headed out the front door. What possesses a delivery person to put a broken box (marked fragile mind you - oh the irony) full of broken glass on a porch and walk away. I know, apparently too much to ask.

UPS in Maastricht, Limburg - Door bell skills

These guys do not know how a doorbell works. My doorbell is loud enough to wake up the entire block, yet Mr. UPS guy keeps saying I must have been away or simply did not hear it. He also says that it might be broken, but really, it is not. He just does not know how to press a small button, that has the same name on it as the package he is supposedly delivering, in order to do his job. I have received two notifications from UPS so far, both stating a date and time that I was at home and would have heard the doorbell had it been used.

Call their 800 number and file a complaint. Specially if it's the same driver.

I had to do that and now when we get a delivery, they HAVE to get my signature. If they fail to do that, then they get written up.

We've had stuff stolen off our porch cause they didn't want to listen to our note. So I made the call and so far, no problem..

UPS in Eagle Pass, Texas - Once again, late.

Third time I receive my package late. I pay extra to get my *** package here on time and this is what I get? Two day delivery takes three days, my package is here in town, in their warehouse but not on the delivery truck. THIRD *** TIME!!!! yes, i am pissed off, it was an urgent package for my grandchildren that visited me from Argentina, it was their presents. Now they don't have the presents and I have 3 useless things that I cannot use. GFY (GO *** YOURSELF) UPS, hard. I called Amazon, they refunded 20 dollars to my account even tho it wasn't their fault. I tried contacting UPS, no humans work there, just automated answering machines. The UPS store here in my town sucks even more, the people there are idiots (not just my words but everyone knows it), i don't know how the manager runs his employees but someone needs to come down and set them straight! It's packaging, not even, it's just forwarding, simple easy task, and they cannot do it. I am beyond pissed.

UPS Lost My Package

I ordered and already paid for an $80 upholstery tool I need for my carpet cleaning business. After waiting over a week when it was supposed to be three days it never came. Called to see what was going on. UPS said they lost it but never called to let me know. They said they aren't responsible for lost packages. Had to reorder, repay and pay for shipping a second time and have to wait again for it. Now I have paid for the same tool twice and still waiting for it. I have three customers waiting on me missing out on almost $500 and a forth that canceled that cost me over a $150. This is not the first time having trouble with UPS. This company needs to be shut down. A two legged dog can do better at fetch than they can deliver packages.

I pay for a private mailbox at a UPS Store, but I can't blame the company UPS too much, however, I believe with their lack of over sight leads to problems at the UPS Store, since each are independently owned. The people who run the store, which I believe are the owners...

This does not appear UPS had anything to do with this, it looks like it should be in the UPS Store complaint section.

UPS in Cordova, Tennessee - Poor Customer Service

It seems that the representative to my address can not come later than 3:00 p.m. CST. Like most working people, I do not get home until 5:30 or later. There are no other times offered, 3:00 p.m. or before. I have called the offices of all companies that I order from and have asked them to send my purchases through USPS. UPS has grown way too happy with the status quo. I am thoroughly pissed with going to the "store" to pick up my purchase. I am supposed to be a customer, not a victim. Give me a break!

UPS in Hamilton, Ontario - UP Store refused prepaid envelope

I just experienced a very negative experience at the UPS Store in Grimsby, Ontario, Canada. I had a prepaid UPS envelope to drop off, but on arriving at the store, saw at sign on the door that said as of July 15, they no longer accepted prepaid envelopes and asked the man inside, he said no I had to go to one of the other locations listed, which I did. This resulted in a 20 mile round trip for me (time & gas) to drop of the envelope, after already paying UPS for the envelope to be shipped. I realize UPS Stores are franchises and the franchisees can somewhat make their own rules about their stores, but guaranteed neither myself nor anyone I know will use this store for any of their many services in the future. If UPS allows their franchisees to not accept packages we have already paid for, should they at least not provide drop boxes like FedEx for prepaid envelopes?
