UPS in Newark, New Jersey - General manager

UPS smart pick doesn't work for my company. It all sounds good . I process packages before 4PM check to see smart pick up # was issued. Then No UPS truck driver comes to pick up package. A Ramon told me I still had to cal in a for a pick up. He said it would only take a minute;that not true its more like 5 minutes. A Janet even gave phone # 201-330-2350. Said I should call in the future. That was when I complained my packages hadn't been pick up Thur. They weren't picked up Fri. either. Today she not available. Anyone want to join a class action suit? UPS is charging for services they are not providing.

UPS in Phoenix, Arizona - Worse than useless

I submitted an envelope for delivery from New Orleans to Donetsk Ukraine on July 23. I was told it would arrive on July 26 so I paid $99.70 for about 10 pages of text to be delivered since they had to be originals. On July 29th the package still had not arrived so I looked on their tracking site and it was still sitting in New Orleans! It took until September 2ond to even get on a plane out of the country. I called them on the 29th and they promised me it would be delivered on September 2ond despite that being a week later than had been promised. The package still says it will be delivered on September 2ond but at 7 pm it arrived in Germany. Again I called and was told that they could not give me a delivery update because it took as many as 5 days for an envelope to get thru customs! So in the end with the 5 days and then assuming they will get it there in 2 more days (who knows, they may let it sit for that long) it will have taken 4 days short of a month to get there rather than the 4 days as promised. at that rate it will arrive too late and not only will it have been a waste of $100 sending it, it will have wasted all the prep, travel, meetings...legal fees. everything that has led up to this position. WHo knows the cost to reset everything into its correct state and try this again? I know that totally to get here it has cost as much as $4500 plus legal fees. It will not cost this much again to reset all things to be ready to do again, just remember that for $1200 I could have purchased a plane ticket and carried it there my self. In retrospect that would have been the better way to go than to use this company. For an estimate I will use the lowest cost to reset all things to try again.

UPS has no pull at customs. CUSTOMS is the proper authority to be angry with if you need to be angry with someone about this.

As long as you provided all info required to get thru customs, which isn't much seeing as you are claiming it was a document, then customs does what they will with it for as long as they would like regardless of carrier. Customs can randomly pick packages to hold and inspect and no one has any say in the matter. International shipping is NOT EVER guaranteed to pass customs.

An item that is acceptable to ship one day may very well be unacceptable the next day and therefore be rejected when reaching customs. Educate yourself before badmouthing people.

No Jenny. Several days after it was to be delivered it was still sitting in new Orleans.

It was a week later it hit customs. A good attempt by UPS to put blame on others.

Jenny perhaps you could learn to read. It was to be delivered in 4 days.

It sat in the office it was diluted from for 6 days, took 3 more days to leave the US. Only such in customs for one day.

Now please explain how it took more days to leave the office than it was supposed to take to get there? And how is that customs fault?

UPS in Orlando, Florida - Lost packages--lamest processes ever

My mother-in-law passed away in July. I shipped 6 packages to her sister via UPS through Office Depot. DON'T EVER DO THIS. First, UPS lost 3 of the 6. Nice going. Their process to find undelivered boxes of photos, etc. IS THE LAMEST. This is a company that's supposed to be all about the use of technology. "Can you take a photograph of lost boxes and I can try to identify the contents of mine?" "No. Let me read you descriptions." Are you kidding me? This went on for a long, long time. Now, I want to actually file claims since it's obvious they're never going to find my lost boxes. Because I shipped through Office Depot, I'm not the shipper, so they won't talk to me. I have to talk to the people at Office Depot who have zero incentive to help. There are three lost boxes. This requires three separate trips to UPS because they give me the forms to fill out ONE AT A TIME. Call me paranoid, but I'm guessing UPS doesn't want to pay the claim, and Office Depot couldn't care less if it ever gets paid. Unbelievable. Never again.

I just had a similar experience here in Rosemead, CA. I noticed that the shipment was late and so I requested the Ebay shipper to send my the tracking number.

Then I found out from the tracking# info that a third delivery attempt was made and UPS is sending it back to the shipper.

Strangely, I did not receive a single notice from the driver. I think the driver got busy or lazy and didn't even bother to leave a notice.

Yel F.UPS: Shippers are encouraged to report lost packages because receivers may not have all the shipment information needed to perform a thorough investigation. In addition, claim notification letters are not sent to receivers. All claims are settled with the shipper. ME: looks like the package is sitting in the ups san pablo location ME: not a shipper issue...this is a ups issue Yel F.UPS: I understand your frustration. That is why an investigation is needed to be open by the shipper so that we can resolve this matter. Please be aware that the last scan on a package in-transit is not necessarily an indication of its current location. Only the shipper can make changes to a shipment. Because you are not the UPS customer, the shipper is.

UPS - Customer

UPS delivered my package to the wrong address. The wrong address UPS delivered to was even different from the actual wrong address at which the package was, in fact, delivered. When UPS figured out their mistake, they went to the neighbour, but did not contact me. My neighbour had opened my package and used it, and she walked over the OPENED PACKAGE. UPS noted the package had been "delivered" to me, when, in fact, they had not returned it. So, I eventually received a used item. UPS did not contact me about this, just left me on my own to figure it out.

I have an account with UPS w6740f and i regularly ship to all over the world daily.I shipped a shipment on 22 june,2013 to one of my customer Netherland.Tracking no.1ZW6740F0450623296. When my customer received goods,there were 8 pairs or 16 pcs were missed from total shipment. 1 pair onion earrings citrine 1 pair onion earrings rosequartz 1 pair earstud earrings with 25 x 35 mm teardrops blue chalcedony 1 pair earstud earrings with 25 x 35 mm teardrops rosequartz 1 pair earstud earrings with 25 x 35 mm teardrops black onyx 1 pair earstud earrings with 25 x 35 mm teardrops milky white onyx 1 pair earstud earrings with 25 x 35 mm teardrops amethyst 1 pair earstud earrings with 25 x 35 mm teardrops aqua chalcedony I contacted to UPS regarding this matter and wrote emails again and again.But they replied that packing was not sufficient.I regularly ship goods and all my packing is same.If my packing were not good,how can UPS sent the package.I am very disappointed as it loss of US$300.

How the shipment was packed has nothing to do with loss or stolen goods. I would suggest trying to file the claim again or dispute the denial and state exactly what happened. However, this isn't going to work if you didn't insure the package for full value.

UPS not delivering packages

I have had many issues with the Uvalde, TX delivery service delivering to Carrizo Springs. Some times they say I am not home and take the package back to Uvalde, sometimes they deliver it to random places throughout town. One time they left it at a local gas station!! When they decide its too late in the evening they will put on their tracking info that the address is unverifiable even though we have had packages delivered here for years! When I call customer service they tell me that each delivery location is an independent entity. When I call the delivery cent er they simply apologize and do nothing further. I am tired of paying for quick shipment only to not have my package delivered as promised. I was expecting a huge shipment today and at 7:30 pm they changed their shipping status to undeliverable even though they have my phone number on the package label. Now I have to wait til Monday for a package I was needing today!

Maybe keeping your mouth shut would have been the best course of action. Your original issue was related to his parking and safety and yet you believe pursuing and stopping the driver on the roadway was the wise choice. Seems to me perhaps you brought the situation upon yourself by asserting authority you do not have.

You stated the driver was parked at an intersection in a rural area on a Friday morning. Drivers go on the road at 9 so this was a slow time of day in an admittedly rural area. Obviously the driver was stopped at a stop sign at this intersection so approaching cars would already be in the process of slowing down well before the drivers vehicle. Is it possible him walking down the center of the road was him exiting or entering the vehicle?

You stated he "shelled" your vehicle with rocks and other debris. Did this not cause some dings and dents to your vehicle? Obviously any normal person who was just "shelled" as you state would have called the police and not the offenders company to complain. By you not doing this I assume the "shelling" is not as severe as you describe it.

When you called the company to complain of this you surely did not refuse to answer all questions as they somehow obtained your name and address to mark you in the system.

You proceeded to make the unwise choice of obtaining the services of a company you had already had problems with, would you go to a barber or salon after you had problems with the owner and expect a perfect cut?

Sure they put you on a security hold. You had already acted bizarrely in your interactions with the driver. Pursuing him, videotaping, etc. Its well within their rights and making you wait so long was probably a little retribution for the way you acted towards the driver. I am assuming they sent someone they though could handle himself if an unruly customer decided to cross the line. No law states the driver must be in uniform or in a company vehicle. Maybe he gave you a little grief over handing it over but you honestly deserved it.

The driver probably drives the same route day in and out, and more than likely has stopped at said intersection multiple times yet you visiting from 3k miles away believes it's your place to harass him over his parking while he is trying to perform his job. What gives you the right? Unless you are law enforcement you have no right to tell anyone how to do anything on the road.

The driver surely has his version of events which differ from yours. I am almost positive your initial comments and behavior were far from what actually took place. I don't believe for a second you spoke to him politely.
