UPS- I dislike you very much!

I was expecting a package on Friday. I got home to find an invoice sticker on my door requesting signature. On Monday, I signed it and left it on my door. When I got home, had another sticker invoice next to my 1st one saying they needed signature. Called customer 1-800 #. Talked to "surpervisor" and was told that the only option I had was to drive the 40min drive to my local office for pick-up, or stay home from work all day waiting on my package because they refuse to leave it at my door even though I gave them permission to. I got no where and have no clue if I'll ever get my package.

Signature in person, posession of the package is then transferred to the recipient.

That is what the shipper required, and what UPS has to honor.

UPS in New York, New York - Lost $8000 in merchandise

My company is a large distributor, and for over a year we have been going back and forth with UPS with my merhcandise being stolen/lost. Currently dealing with one claim for $4500 and still waiting for the response on another claim for $3500. And still have not spoken to a Rep since March/2014!!!! On top of that the REP for the claim service lost my paper work and tried to play it off like I never sent it to her and had the nerve to get and attitude with me. Never in my Years have I dealt with such terrible service!

It is Sept of 2013, and you have not heard from anyone since March of 2014? Interesting.

I can relate to your situation. You should report them to Consumers Affairs and the Attorney General's office - this should at least "shake" them up!

Keep a long of names, date and times of all communications with anyone you speak with re: this from UPS

UPS in Baltimore, Maryland - Left package

We have had multiple thefts of packages in our neighborhood. The carrier persists on leaving packages at the door without ringing the doorbell. A simple task that could save a robbery! Dont waste any money on UPS insurance

Three different packages over 7 years- always the same response- you did not use enough protection packaging- the latest package was shipped in the DELL FACTORY box. Still they denied the payment - and to make matters worse they said the box was destroyed so they just threw away?? I must be the village *** here- tried going up the ladder of administration - each said they would send paper work to file a claim - never received - they hope you will forget??? Let me see if i get this straight in my mind? You wont pay the claim ? and you wont give me the contents? and - You wont pay the claim ? wow should have read the internet complaints and not waisted my time

In response to the person that said we never pack correctly? I understand what you are saying and agree..

We are an international shipper - usually 7 - 15 shipments per day. In 33 years only 3 boxes have have an insurance claim filed--- all were denied- Believe me when I say they were packed well- the one in question now - was in the approved manufacturers shipping box and then added an extra larger box with shipping noodles to ptotect- UPS said this was not packed well- they say box was destroyed and they could not return- so how am I to prove the evidence they are saying? still they wont pay the claim- UPS disgruntled employee?

Nope these people that deliver/ pickup here are on a first name basis.. They are just telling us what they have seen over these many years

You people are cheap and don't know how to pack things. That is why claims are denied.

If you go to a UPS Store they ask to repack it to ensure it will arrive or your money back for a replacement item. It probably costs $5 to repack it in a new box, but you refuse. The original packaging is not properly packed. Factory packaging is to make it from the store to your car, and from your car to your house.

Not to be shipped along with millions of other packages. Ps, before I get a dozen replies saying "I am just a disgruntled UPS employee!" I am not a current, former, nor future UPS employee!

@Nick1346

Nick most of the time you are right- kindly read my addition in the actual blog - Know that by factory packaging I would mean the factory shipping container- example - a Dell computer shipped to you with molded styrofoam etc....read again what I posted

Unbelievable!

Several of our family members have also had problems in the last few years. Regardless of the story they don't feel they are at fault. Recommend writing to the BBB, if you put it on a charge card you may be able to call them and reverse the charge. Good luck... and buyer beware.

How foolish and short sighted :upset of them to treat people like this, they are ruining their reputation!

The pictures say it all. UPS crushed, dented, and put wholes in the NEW box with four ceramic heirlooms being sent home from my recently deceased mother-in-laws estate. They won't pay the insurance or shipped and blame our packing, when it was EXTREMELY well packed! ...

Should have shipped it with the special "fragile" stickers. And no, they are not packaged properly.

UPS in Lexington, Kentucky - Left 4 packages next door

I received an email that said 4 packages had been delivered to my address at 2:56 pm. They HAD NOT. About 7pm I called UPS Customer Service. I got the run around. They told me I had to report this to the shipper. In this case it was 3 different shippers. While on the phone, I went outside and started walking the street. There were 4 packages on the porch next door. I asked if UPS would come and check to see if they were mine. I did not want to be accused of trespassing or stealing packages from next door. The lady was so busy reading from her script she ignored my question, until I had repeated it 5 times, each time raising my voice. She put me on hold to check, but told me they could not. This is unacceptable that a customer has to go trespassing next door to get their packages. I just learned when UPS makes a mistake, they are unwilling to correct it, even when the customer has done all the work and located their misplaced packages for them.

I understand your pain and I am currently experiencing many issues with UPS/UPS driver(s) but they including the 800 customer service reps and the local UPS center couldn't care less. They did respond to me but with the attitude which can not be described.

They are worse than the government owned USPS. I don't even have the energy to write the whole story about my case(s) with them as I am exausted with UPS. A worst company on the planet of earth! :(.

The problem is some shippers don't let us consumers choose what freight company to use. If I could, I would use USPS or Fedex.

Oh, how I feel your pain, brother....

I buy books off of Amazon, and despite the fact that I've VOLUBLY told them (Amazon *and* UPS) about this same issue, I STILL get orders "delivered" (notice the use of quote marks) by Useless Parcel Service most of the time. And damned if it's not the same deal: "We Brownshirts haff dezided your package not to leave at your door because ve don't vant to.

Zo...TOUGH NOOGIES, mein Herr!" I sign the package release, and guess what? The chimps still won't just leave the package AT MY APARTMENT DOOR INSIDE A LOCKED BUILDING. They can get in and leave one of their *** notices, but they can't leave the PACKAGE?!?

I call "shenanigans" here.

This is why I LOATHE UPS. The only reason I'm getting my package today is that UPS handed it over to the USPS, which--according to Amazon Tracking---has already delivered my book.

UPS Can't track their parts internally/poor Customer service.

This is a complaint. I don't expect a reply because obviously UPS does not care about customer service or inconveniencing their customers. I had a package delivered from the US to Canada. I was not home for the first attempt and I understand that you cannot guarantee delivery times, I am only home in the mornings as I work late. However when I ask for a parcel to be held for Pickup and specifically ask if the parcel will be ready for pickup on a certain day and time, I expect it to be on site and ready for pick up at that time. Instead I end up wasting 2 hours round trip and a quarter tank of gas to make my way to your sorting facility only to find out that the package is not there and the only thing anyone can tell me is and it’s not their fault. 1st your front line staff need to learn to deal with customers. Looking out the window while fixing your watch giving customers bad news is a sure fire way to get yourself an irate customer. At least act like you care. 2nd I know you guys love to brag about your technological advances in package handling. I don’t know what happened, but somehow, even though I made the request an hour before the cut off for changes, and even though the request was registered as “Hold for Pickup” (its documented). Why did your system not flag the package when it went though the destination scan loading into the truck? Seems simple enough to me that if the system knows that it’s supposed to be held that it should warn someone if it’s doing otherwise. I don’t know what 5th grade genius designed your system, but you should get your money back. 3rd Why can’t I pay for my Customs/Duty Charges at a UPS store? Why is it I have to Pay over the phone so that you can release a package to your own store, Franchise or not. Your competitors offer this service. I don’t understand why you don’t. This time around I had no choice in carriers. USPS/Canada Post and Purolator was not an option from this vender. You can rest assured that I will no longer be using UPS as a delivery option for my packages and unfortunately that means no longer using this Vender. I never have problems with Purolator or Canada post. Its no wonder that around the office UPS gets the nick name “OOPS” when you can’t keep track of where your packages are going. I have arranged for the Parcel to be dropped at a nearby UPS store. It better be there. A copy of this e-mail is being sent to the Vender in the hopes that they will offer alternate carriers for Cross boarder packages. I will not be ordering from them again should UPS be my only option. Thanks

This website has no affiliation with UPS, so they will not see your concerns.

It would be best to go to an official UPS websitee, as consumers here have no idea what you are talking about.

UPS - Terrible driving nearly killing me!!

When driving through Beaconsfield in Bucks this morning I was cut up by the terrible driving of one of your men. I noticed him parked in an awful place beside a busy road during rush hour traffic and instantly thought how ridiculous it was at 9 in the morning to half block a road! When I got closer I had noticed the driver in or out of the vehicle but he did have his hazard lights on so it seemed safe to drive past. On getting within around 2 cars length of him he decided to pull out into the road without changing his hazard lights to an indicator and nearly knocking me off the road!! I only got a partial number plate of EX57 but I do think that this man is unfit to drive for UPS especially as he was wearing sun glasses as well, I don't drive a dark car it is a red mini one so I do expect he saw me clearly!
