UPS in Brooklyn, New York - Delivery guy did not wait for me to come downstairs to collect my item

It is frustrating enough to sit at home from 9 to 7 just waiting for the delivery guy to arrive, however, when the delivery guy arrives, he rang the bell and instructed me to come down to get my item. I live on the 5th floor and had to walk downstairs. When I got down, he was gone and left a UPS notice instead. I call for a redelivery and this time I got a call back from the customer service saying that the delivery guy would be there in 5 minutes and will have to wait for him downstairs. I went downstairs again to wait for 30 minutes but the delivery guy did not show up. This experience totally ruin my day.

Evidently you must be employed by USPS because everyone know's that if you are lucky you just might recieve your package plus mail from USPS and You just might not.USPS has lost at least (5) Check's of mine that i sent thru the mail to pay bill's.Never seen not one of the check's since i mailed them.On the other hand UPS is alway's on time and I alway's can depend on UPS to be at my home when they say they will be there.

UPS - Poor customer service due to racism

I went to the ups office in Barking to pick my parcel. On getting to the depot the customer officer informed me the driver was on his way to the depot with my parcel. After waiting for more than 3hrs, the customer service officer informed me I would have to return tomorrow to pick my parcel. I informed him I'll be travelling tomorrow and I need to go with the parcel, he said there was nothing he could do to help me as he needs to close for the day so he could join his family at home. Apparently we were three waiting to get our parcel from this driver. The customer services officer returned with their parcel and Told me I need to return for mine tomorrow. I believe I was treated unfairly becaue these other people came after me and left with their parcel while I had to leave feeling dejected and felt I was being picked on.of us waiting, the other two got their parcel while I was turned . The most painful aspect was that this officers showed no remorse for his actions as he was laughing and being non chalk ant. I had to leave without the parcel and there was no apology whatsoever from the officer. Having said all these, I believe my colour was taken for granted. I left feeling cheated and devastated and felt I was treated unfairly by this gentleman. Lastly this trip cost me £20 because I had to get a cab to bring me home. I do not know why I should suffer for his negligence to work and I would appreciate if my complaint is looked into and addressed appropriately. Tracking no; 1Z0XY194683395137

After an alleged internal investigation, UPS personnel determined there was nothing more that they could do, not that anything had been "Done" to begin with.

if your item was stolen, call the police. you won't though, because the truth is you have some axe to grind with ups and will make up stuff on the internet instead.

UPS driver did not check street name or can not read.

The first time the package was delivered to the same address as my house; however on another street and I just lost another package, UPS says that it was delivered, and I do not have it. I just hope that the home owner that received it will bring it to my house, I will check with the person that received the first package, maybe he has the second package. UPS will do nothing to help. I hope that if I order anything else that driver can read. All of these problems occurred this month, so it has to be the driver.

Ordered a package and also paid extra for 1 day shipping on a Thursday. Said it was shipped on Friday and I expected it to be at my house after work (around 3pm) on Saturday. That was not the case, and since there is no post on Sunday I'm sitting here still waiting...

UPS - A person at their call center, in the Pacific, not in the US called me a racist.

I have been calling all moring about a missed shipment (I was asleep sick and by the time I got to the door the driver had left) that needed an adult signature. First I got lied to by a person in Central America then called a racist by a woman in a Pacific rim country. I am not sure why paint needs an adult signature and My choice does not let you sign on line for as an adult. Anyway I am appaled that when so many people in this country need work that ups sends work out of country.

Welcome to the wonderful world of UPS doing whatever they want. Remember that there are other, better AND less expensive shipping options. Paying top dollar to get the worst service should only even happen to a person once!

UPS driver cannot find my address

I ordered a package that was shipped by UPS. I expected to received it last Thursday. I tracked it and UPS claimed that my address is incorrect. I contacted UPS customer service 3 times, they called me each time and verified my address which is totally correct. They said that they corrected it and the problem still occurs again and again. Last time, on Friday they called me and said that they succeeded stop the package from being shipped to the sender at the parking lot, and it would be delivered today. In fact, it is on its way to the sender. UPS customer services is useless since they just said that they contact the local management team and they could not do anything else. In my case, I suspect the competency of the local UPS driver, especially the current driver in response to my area. The problem just happened since this May, before that everything was OK. I will never order anything shipped by UPS and never use UPS in the future. Here is my tracking number: 1ZW22A340362435915. After posting on their Facebook twice on two other cases, they blocked me on their Facebook too. What a shame!

Sorry to hear you also had issues. This type of experience with them is right inline with our own. Only through communicating our experiences with others can we get the word out on UPS.

I will never use nor recommend UPS either.

Same thing happened to me. They claimed my address was not a valid address, although I was standing at that exact address when they told me that.

The driver, they said, could not find my new address, so he just dropped it at my old address. Luckily, the old address was not far away from my new address, so I drove over to my old house and picked up the package from very confused and unfriendly tenants. What if they had decided to keep my package? Um???

This happened twice and when I asked UPS to correct it, they said I would have to wait for 8-10 days while they tracked it. Very unfriendly. I talked to three people at the 800 number and got three very different stories. They first person told me they could not pursue a search because the tracking number had ended and they had delivered the package.

It was not until I found a local person in the company that I got any satisfaction. The frustration is that they told me they could not find my address on any map, but I found it in less than a minute on Google Earth and Siri gave me directions to my address very quickly, too.

Worthless and incompetent company.

Your right about one thing.....its all in the driver...and the amount of effort they want to put forth on delivery.....which in your case was Zero. It also seems UPS is in denial.....and does not want to hear bad news. Either way you lose out
