UPS in Los Angeles, California - Website says no one was home, while I took a day off and waited for the delivery !

I took a day off today, to sign for the monitor I'm expecting as I got a missed delivery note saying they would try again today from 10am to 2pm. I waited all day until around 3:30or 4pm, it's a quite street, everytime I heard someone pulling in I would go to the window and check, no one ever came knocking on the door, so I went to check the delivery status on the website, and it says " 12/05/2013 1:30 P.M. The customer was not available on the 2nd attempt. A 3rd attempt will be made. " wow, how can any customer trust UPS anymore when the delivery person just flat out lie about whether the customer was home , so he didn't have to carry a monitor from the truck to the door ??? This had happened a few times already and it's really getting on my nerves, I can only take so many days off, and to waste it on someone else's laziness is definitely not worth it ! Oh, better yet, the delivery person didn't even leave one of those little yellow note telling you you missed the delivery. Had I not checked the website, I would have thought the monitor was lost .

Fed-Ex has done this to me several times. I stayed home to make sure I was there to received the package.

The truck never even came into my neighborhood, yet the website said no one was home. My guess is both companies have their fair share of scrubs who leave their routes everyday to run personal errands, take long lunches (or use the services of *** Whatever.

You're right. what used to be a reliable form of logistics has turned into an overrated, unreliable form of the US Postal Service.

Check out UPS's Facebook page. Lots of peole complaining about the Mesquite Mess and at least it's getting out to the public.

Add your comments there.

I also have my husband's Christmas present "lost".

I am in the same boat. Totally took a day off of work today so I could be here to sign for the package and now it is delayed a day because of operational problems.

What a joke!!!

As an update on this one. I called UPS this evening, after not getting my package again of course, and the young lady I spoke with actually tried to insinuate I was lying that it'd been pushed back twice now until she finally looked it up!

Then she informed me that they were very busy and there was nothing she could do, so if I didn't have any more questions .............! Seriously where does this company hire it's call center employees?

UPS in New York, New York - Lied too and still waiting!

My package was out for delivery on Tuesday. I call my driver, he said it was on another truck. I found that truck, it was so packed they could not find my package. I waited till 7:00pm. It never came. I called, they lied (said it was not on truck and I would have it tomorrow). On Wednesday, I called my driver again. He said it was on another truck. Computer showed out for delivery today (Wed). When not here by 7:00pm I called UPS again. Told they were making late delivers, and I would get it that night. At 8:45 spoke to a suppervisor and told same thing. At 9:05 Computer went from out for delivery to "Exception"!! It is Thursday, and I still do not have it! UPS is in way over it's head. Not the first time I had a problem, but the last! I will never, ever use them again!

UPS drive rip down our power lone in are drive way with their truck then lied and denied it too

Hereis what happen UPS was dropping off a package at my house which I didn't even know they was in my drive until I heard this big loud noisy and I felt my house kinda of shake so I jump up and ran into my kitchen and look out the window to see the power line that goes from the house to the pole barn rip down and a UPS truck leaving my drive so I call the company soon after and talk to someone in charge which that person was rude to me and said that if it did happen that it was our fault cause we didn't have our line high enough for the truck to fit under but we got a pretty long drive so they didn't have to drive all the way in the drive .So the man in charge came and look at the damages and called his driver which his driver denied it and lied about and try to say the power line was down when they got there and the had to walk underneath line to drop off my package but my boyfriend was outside there 30min before that and everything was fine then. But they told me since I didn't actually see them do it I have no proof but the man in charge had the nerve to say that we was trying to get money out of them which is not true we just wanted them to admit what they done and stop lying about. Since the man in charge decide to be very rude my boyfriend decide to call all the ST Louis news channel in area to report how they treat the customer and get away with it I only hope others will not be afraid to call the news station and report their stories BUT I can honestly say that I will not be using UPS in the near future A CONCERN COMSUMER

It would be obvious damage to the truck, as a power line would rip right through the Fiberglass on the top of the truck.

So, you have shards of brown fiberglass where it came down?

I'm sure a UPS truck isn't so tall that it would tear down a power line, unless it was a make shift deal that you and your boy friend did and didn't have it high enough. When electricity was put in at the farm I grew up on, the power company ran the power lines from the top of a pole someplace out by the road to the top of the power pole in our back yard.

Guess what that line was still in the same location a few years ago as it was when I was a kid. I'm kind of thinking this is a case of you people running a line from the house to the pole shed without the knowledge of an electrician, therefore you most likely didn't have it high enough.

I don't see how if the power line did get pulled down, how it would make your house shake. Something is weird here.

UPS in Meridian, Idaho - NEVER Delivers!

This has happened to me twice! I ordered a package and it never comes. I make it a habit to track the shipping process. But the first time it said it was delivered, I wasn't home and had to call up there for them to find it. I was at home all day this time and it said it was left at my front door, but NO ONE ever came! I called and they told me my package was lost and it was not their fault but the company's fault. I have to fight for them to reimburse me all while dealing with rude customer service agents! I DO NOT advice ANY one to ship with UPS because they do not take responsibility for their screw ups and have bad attitudes when you call them as if you are bothering them! Next time, use FedEx.

UPS refuses to delivery a residential package after 5pm.

I had a Christmas present shipped via UPS to my residence. I actually work for a living so I do not get home until after 5pm. I left a note to the driver letting him know that. He still tried a second attempt in the middle of the day. I called UPS to explain the package was going to a residence and I wouldn't be home until after 5pm. She said quote "I can't guarantee the driver will deliver after 5pm." and I said quote, "Well there will be no one there to receive until after 5pm so what shall we do." She said, and I again quote, "so you want me to return the package?" Really they refuse to deliver the package when I'm home. Asking for after 5pm deliver is a norm for residential delivery. Funny how FedEx never has a problem getting ANY package to me. To note, I did not chose UPS the vendor I purchased the merchandise from did. Now they just lost a sale as the product has been return. UPS has managed to hurt (2) customers in one transaction. Good Job UPS! PS: Their website allows you to request delivery after 5pm but they charge an extra $5.99 stating it is a fee to change the delivery. Really I have to pay extra to have it delivered any time M-F after 5pm??? UPS sucks!

Mike?

I know a Driver, and there is no Driver who has an 8 hour day at this time of year.

Most are out 11 hours + every day.

If you are work each day, why not have the items shipped to your work, and you will not have issues with your shipments?

and, Business addresses are lower cost than Residential, so you save money as well.

Problem solved!

Yes of course, the driver should finish his regular route and then return to each house where people "work for a living" and deliver when they want. That way he can make an 8 hour shift into a 16 hour one.

What if even 10% of the people on his route are entitled and need special treatment? Your wait time would triple.

It's not all about you. There are other people on the planet.

Yes you have to pay the reasonable and low fee to change the delivery time, your Majesty. Watch your fkkkknng attitude and play nice.

You can't demand the company cater to exactly how you want it.

Ew, such high maintenance entitled b's in the world. Customers can be SO RUDE!

If UPS driver delivers to you after 5 pm, the packages he or she has picked up during the day will miss the outgoing shipment, and all will be late. I have no regard for people who think of only themselves.

UPS DID NOT Deliver-and said they did

I came home to have the UPS Truck blocking my driveway. I watched the driver get off the truck with no package and then get back on the truck. He blocked the driveway for another 7 minutes. When I checked the front, side, and back door for the package, there was nothing. When I checked on-line for deliveries, it said that my package was left at the side door. When I called UPS, to find out about the package, I was told that I needed to complain with the sender. I am pretty sure that this isn't the first time this driver has done this and I believe he is getting his Christmas gifts from the hardworking people who trust their packages with this company. LOW LIFE THIEF IS FULL OF BROWN AND WEARS A BROWN UNIFORM WITH UPS ON IT!!!

UPS Refuses To Refund All Product/Shipping Costs

Sent a personal package through UPS store #135 in Las Vegas (3540 W Sahara Ave.) The package was lost. I requested a refund for the product ($20) and the UPS shipping costs ($16.40). I was refunded $25 - $11.40 short. When I called this to the attention of the UPS store, I WAS INCONSIDERATELY AND RUDELY told that is all they're going to refund me, and if I didn't like it, take it up with UPS. Called UPS but they did nothing but shuffle me around from phone number to phone number department to department. No one would do/or did anything. I wasted over an hour with these UPS jerks. Never will I ship anything again through UPS. I am dropping my company's account with them as well. One of the worst companies that I have ever dealt with. Harry Pappas, Las Vegas, NV
